Chapter 1 Amnesia

  Chapter One: Amnesia

Wang Long's consciousness slowly awakened from a chaotic state, as if he had been dreaming for ten thousand years.

He opened his eyes with effort, and the scenery that entered his vision left him utterly shocked: towering peaks, layered ridges, one mountain rising after another, with a momentum of galloping horses, mountains piled upon mountains, shrouded in mist and clouds, winding endlessly to reveal an unyielding vastness.

Wang Long stared blankly at the surrounding mountains and forests, his head throbbing with pain. He had no idea who he was or why he had come to such a desolate place. He tried hard to recall his identity, but failed miserably. Every time he attempted to remember his past, his mind felt like it was being bitten by thousands of insects, the pain unbearable. His body also felt as if it had been slashed by knives countless times, every inch of him aching with agony.

Wang Long couldn't even remember his own name, standing blankly in a mountain valley surrounded by mountains. At this moment, he realized that he had lost all his previous memories.

With great effort, Wang Long stood up and carefully examined the valley: In a thin fog, the strange rocks on the ground, the scattered greenish-yellow weeds were clearly visible, thorny thickets, strange rocks towering.

Not far away was a bare wall, about two people high. Beyond the wall, in the distance, were mountains shrouded in mist and cloud. The clouds and mist in the distance transformed into various shapes, constantly changing, incredibly beautiful. But Wang Long at this time didn't have any mood to appreciate the scenery, couldn't even figure out who he was himself, and didn't know what place he was in either.

Wang Long heard a gentle gurgling sound behind him, turned around, and saw a river about two meters wide. The water was very clear, and the stones in the river were clearly visible. Occasionally, one or two unknown fish swam happily in the water. Wang Long looked ahead, but no matter how far he looked, he couldn't see the end of the river.

Wang Long quickly ran towards the river, knelt down on the ground, put his face close to the water's surface, opened his parched mouth and took a refreshing big gulp. His dry throat finally got some moisture, Wang Long felt a bit better, and washed his face.

Facing the clear water surface of the river, Wang Long saw a wild man inside: his long hair was almost shoulder-length, messy and disheveled on his head and face. The clothes on his body were also tattered and worn out, hanging in strips, revealing patches of muscle. However, the color of the muscles was uneven, with some parts being greenish and others purplish. The entire sleeve of his right arm was gone, and he wasn't even wearing shoes on his feet, standing there barefoot.

Wang Long looked again, and found that the wild man inside was himself. He smiled bitterly and muttered to himself: "Who am I? Who can tell me?" "Who am I? Who can tell me?" ... Repeatedly, his voice slowly became louder, startling the birds in the mountains to fly far away with a "whoosh".

Dazed, he sat on the ground for half a day. His stomach growled, and Wang Long touched his belly, feeling like his chest was stuck to his back. He was extremely hungry. Instinctively, he got up, wanting to find something to eat. Barefoot, he made his way through the thorny thickets, strange rocks, and uneven terrain of the majestic mountains. It seemed that his bare feet were not afraid of the sharp stones; instead, they only left a red line where they had been cut. Sometimes, the stones would even break under Wang Long's feet.

Mozulairen stood respectfully on the rooftop of a 29-story building, gazing out at the breathtaking view of New York City. The modern skyscrapers stretched towards the sky, their neon lights illuminating the darkness. People and cars moved about below like ants, while the rooftop itself was eerily quiet, devoid of any sound. But Mozulairen dared not look around carelessly, lest Lingyunzi saw him and his jaw dropped to the ground in shock.

Suddenly, a strong gust of wind blew by, and the satellite signal receiver on the rooftop made "creaking" sounds in the wind. A piece of trash plastic bag was blown away by the wind towards the Rhine River embankment, helplessly circling around him about one meter away from his body.

On the edge of the platform three meters away from the Rhine River, a large wooden chair was placed. The person sitting on the chair had his back to the Rhine River and his face could not be seen clearly. However, the silhouette of this person gave people the feeling that he was like the entire universe, and others could only look up to him. Even the Rhine River in front of him seemed insignificant. A head of white hair, longer and whiter than the Rhine River, hung motionless on his shoulders in the strong wind.

The Rhine River stood quietly behind the seated person, not daring to make any noise, only the wind was still blowing. The person sitting in the chair finally spoke up and said: "You didn't kill that kid, well done." The voice was hoarse but had an unparalleled dignity. Rhine River's face showed a joyful expression as he said: "Thank you for your praise, master. I just sealed that kid's divine elixir, making him unable to use his divine yuan force again, and I also erased his memory. He is now just a wild man in the mountains, with no impact on our great cause."

The person on the chair waved his hand and said, "Alright, you go down and hurry up to arrange our affairs. Be sure to get things done for me on time. If there's nothing important, don't come disturb me." Rhein River Tai respectfully responded with a "Yes, master, I'll leave first."

The person on the chair seems to have fallen into deep thought, for a moment as if merged with the entire universe, others can no longer see that there is still someone sitting on the chair.

Wang Long walked along the rugged mountain road, and all the way through thorns and brambles. Fortunately, his palms were not afraid of thorns, and with a grasp, the sharp thorns broke into several pieces. Discovering that his palms were so hard, Wang Long felt a sense of comfort in his heart.

On the road, some small insects occasionally crawled out and were trampled to death by Wang Long's bare feet. "Gurgling" his stomach protested again, after searching for so long, except for trees and grass, not even a single fruit could be found, although they could encounter some wild rabbits and wild chickens, but with nothing on them, there was no way to start a fire.

Can't go eat raw meat, right? As a human being, Wang Long still had an aversion to eating raw animals. The further he walked forward, the denser the forest became, with towering trees like giant umbrellas that let the mist spread and dissipate in the woods, making it impossible for Wang Long to tell directions anymore, he just kept walking forward.

A hissing sound suddenly came from the top of a large tree above, Wang Long was shocked and looked up to see that on a large tree beside him, a snake as big as a water bucket was coiled around it, its body encircling the trunk all the way to the top. The dark greenish-black body of the snake emitted a terrifying aura, its egg-sized eyes gleaming with red light, staring intently at Wang Long, as if ready to attack him at any moment.

Wang Long was startled and his instinctive reaction was to get away from the dangerous snake. He opened his legs and started running. The snake also slid down from the tree as Wang Long ran, and in this dense forest, the snake's speed was undoubtedly much faster than Wang Long's. With its bloody mouth open wide, it bit towards Wang Long. Wang Long felt a gust of wind on the back of his neck, and subconsciously rolled to the ground, causing the snake's attack to miss. The snake crashed into a tree in front of Wang Long, snapping it off at the roots.

The giant snake coiled again, opening its bloody mouth wide to bite towards Wang Long. Wang Long was blocked by a large tree in front of him, and when there was no way to avoid it, he quickly punched the snake's head with one fist. The snake's head was hit and tilted to one side, and Wang Long escaped from the snake's mouth once again. At this time, beads of sweat appeared on his body.

The giant snake was furious, having dominated this jungle for hundreds of years and eliminating all humans who had previously entered. Today, however, this small human was somehow able to resist its power, which was truly unforgivable.

A huge red glow burst forth from the giant snake's eyes, and with a single movement of its body, Wang Long was sent flying. Several tree trunks as thick as bowls were snapped in half by Wang Long's impact, and he felt his entire body ache all over, with stars spinning before his eyes.

As the giant snake chased again, Wang Long's whole body potential was triggered at this critical moment of life and death. He quickly got up and stumbled forward, escaping in the rugged mountain forest, as fast as a rabbit. The big snake pursued closely behind, if it didn't eliminate this despicable human today, its status as the overlord of this jungle would be useless.

Wang Long ran wildly without a care, not knowing how many mountains and rivers he had crossed, but the big snake was still tightly following behind him. Wang Long felt his physical strength being consumed more and more, already feeling somewhat tired, and at this time, he was also starving, it was really unbearable. Looking ahead, not far away was a large hillside, and he had already run to the top of the mountain, Wang Long took a deep breath, suddenly standing there motionless.

The giant snake saw the food in its mouth suddenly stop moving ten or so meters away, and it also stopped. It had lived in this forest for hundreds of years and accumulated some experience fighting various animals, fearing that Wang Long was being deceitful, so it too stopped on the spot, staring at Wang Long with its egg-sized red eyes.

Wang Long quickly recovered his strength, although his heart was extremely tense, but the current situation did not allow him to retreat again. If he retreated again, he would roll down the steep slope and didn't know what the situation was below.

A man and a snake stared at each other, with only the mountain wind whistling above their heads and the clouds changing shapes in the wind.
