Chapter 11: Deep in the Mystic Moon

  In a daze, He Lianyun found himself back in the embrace of the mother wolf. The little wolf, who had been fighting with him earlier, saw that his rival was back and immediately pounced on him again. He Lianyun's eyes widened in anger as he prepared to defend himself.

  Just then, Gong Sunjian's voice echoed in his mind, "He Lianyun, you must get along with the little wolf! It may become your greatest ally in the future!" But He Lianyun was too caught up in the heat of the moment to listen. The two continued to fight, rolling around on the ground.

  Gong Sunjian sighed and shook his head, "I suppose it's still too early for him to understand the importance of this encounter." He turned to He Liancheng and said, "Let's just observe from a distance and see how things develop."

  He Liancheng nodded in agreement, and the two of them watched as the mother wolf gently intervened, separating the two combatants. The little wolf looked up at He Lianyun with a mischievous glint in its eye, as if to say, "This isn't over yet!"

  Gong Sunjian chuckled and said, "I think it's time for us to leave. We've already overstayed our welcome." He turned to He Liancheng and continued, "But before we go, let me tell you something about the mother wolf."

  He Liancheng raised an eyebrow, curious. Gong Sunjian began, "The mother wolf is not just any ordinary wolf. She's a Sky Wolf, a creature of legend that's said to possess incredible strength and agility. And what's more, she seems to have taken a liking to He Lianyun."

  He Liancheng's eyes widened in surprise. "A Sky Wolf? I've only heard stories about such creatures! Are you sure?"

  Gong Sunjian nodded. "I'm positive. And I think it's because of the mark on He Lianyun's chest. The Sky Wolf seems to recognize him as one of her own kind."

  He Liancheng's eyes narrowed, deep in thought. "This changes things. If the Sky Wolf is willing to protect He Lianyun, that means he has a powerful ally in this world."

  Gong Sunjian smiled. "Exactly. And I think it's time for us to make our move. We'll need to be careful, though. The forces of darkness will not give up easily."

  He Liancheng nodded, determination etched on his face. "Let's do it. For He Lianyun's sake, and for the sake of this world."
