Chapter 8: The Sixth System of Magical Physique
During this time, what made Liu Yun feel unexpected was that Lao Ka never asked him anything about what he did.
"Could Old Ka possibly understand such things?" With this question in mind, he went to look for Old Ka.
"You don't ask me why I have these thoughts, why I do such things?" Liú Yún asked, while preparing suitable words in her mind.
Lao Ka didn't ask any questions, but looked at him with a profound gaze and said: "Thirty years ago, I was crazy, and today's you are even crazier. The behavior of geniuses and madmen is something that no one can understand. Thinking too much is just looking for trouble. Moreover, I think you will be a genius."
The cloud gazed deeply at the wise old man, then closed his eyes and pondered for a moment before speaking softly: "Uncle, I have no desire for power or fame, nor do I wish to use the lives of soldiers to establish my own achievements. All I've done is to protect those around me, including you. These twenty guards, with their talents, will they ever achieve greatness in martial arts? For the rest of their lives, they'll be nothing more than ordinary warriors. It's not fair; they need a chance to change their fate."
"Thirty years ago, when I chose the difficult path of being a full-time artist, I was alone. From now on, I will walk with you. Only now do I realize that after experiencing past failures, my heart is still restless." Old Ka seemed convinced that this young man in front of him could create miracles.
"You think so highly of me?" In fact, Liú Yún didn't have much confidence in what he was doing now. After all, the Blue Moon Continent and that world were too different.
"Once, I thought you were just a spoiled brat. Now, I don't understand you at all. It's rare to be able to mess around with someone like you even in old age. I've seen the team members' training and I'm expecting more excitement. A brilliant life is not to be missed."
Lao Ka is indeed a old horse with great ambitions, aiming for a thousand miles. Liu Yun couldn't help but sigh.
"Uncle, I have some ideas and would like to discuss them with you." Liuyun thought to herself, he's also a senior, he must be able to help me solve my problem.
"Alright, go ahead. I think it should be about magic-related issues."
"How can you be so sure?"
"Hmph, this so-called guard, just one magician, and an extra at that."
Lao Ka's complacent appearance made Liu Yun's teeth itch. Damn it, when I have more magic, I'll punch one and kick another. However, for now, I still can't afford to offend Lao Ka, as there are many things that need his help.
"Uncle, can ordinary people practice magic?" Liuyun threw out her first question.
"Practicing magic requires both physical and mental strength. The former determines whether one is suitable for practicing a particular type of magic. People with a physique that contains elements of a certain type, in other words, those who are suited to practice a certain type of magic, are at most one in a hundred, while those like your sister Arle, who have a naturally pure water-type physique, are extremely rare. Mental strength, on the other hand, determines how many times one can release a particular spell and is also the standard for dividing magician levels. The level of proficiency in incantations, meanwhile, determines the speed at which magic is released."
It must be said that Lao Ka is a very dedicated teacher. But Liu Yun had an opinion after hearing it.
"I said, Uncle Ka, is your head a bit stuck?"
After arriving on the Blue Moon Continent, Liú Yún seemed to have picked up the bad habit of using words that others couldn't understand to mock people. Standing directly in front of someone and striking them with a verbal blow gave him a sense of dark satisfaction and accomplishment. "I've seen all this in introductory magic books already. What I'm asking you is, for ordinary people, is there any way to learn magic?"
"In theory, yes. The problem of not having a magical physique can be solved with a magic crystal of the same system. As for increasing spiritual power, it's quite troublesome."
"This I have a way." Liu Yun said hastily. In the special forces, there is a method that is quite effective in strengthening one's mental strength: repeatedly torturing him, tormenting him to death.
"What if someone is allowed to learn only one magic for a long time and it's an elementary one, how fast can they get?"
"It can be instantaneously cast. However, there aren't usually any fools like that, so only when one reaches the level of a magic conductor can they instantaneously cast beginner-level magic."
Lao Ka really couldn't understand how this guy's brain was full of strange ideas.
A hint of joy flashed across Yún's eyes, and she continued to ask questions.
"Will a Thunder spell of an Electric-type beginner have any effect on a Magician's shield?"
"It's like scratching an itch." Old Ka was a bit on fire.
"What about those ten?"
"It hurts a bit when you grab it!" Old Ka was furious.
"What about those forty?"
"It's bleeding badly, but it won't be fatal!" Old Ka felt himself losing control.
"What if forty Thunderclaps hit the same point on the shield at the same time?"
"Nobody knows, because nobody can do it!" Old Ka shouted directly.
"Oh, I see." Liuyun didn't notice Lao Ka's outburst at all, and was only immersed in his own thoughts.
Liú Yún then proactively asked Lǎo Kǎ to teach him some elementary magic. Lǎo Kǎ said he had to test his physical and mental strength first, before deciding which type of magic to teach him. The result of the test made Lǎo Kǎ shake his head repeatedly.
"Old card, what's wrong? Am I not suitable for learning magic?" It doesn't matter if you can't learn it, anyway, it's just for doing some magical research. Liú Yún never had too much hope for himself to learn magic in the first place.
"Not at all, the entire system, spiritual power is quite strong." Old Ka suddenly smiled, "It seems you're also facing the choice I made back then. Which one, or the entire system?"
"Hmm, maybe the physical condition changed after the curse was lifted." Spiritual power is strong, Liuyun thought it should be like this, a special forces instructor not having strong spiritual power would be strange. But the whole body's physical condition made him feel very surprised, and he hurriedly found an excuse.
"Whatever, someone's already taken the lead anyway, what am I afraid of?" Liuxing said harshly, looking at Lao Ka's expectant expression.
He didn't think it mattered whether he learned magic or not, how many systems he could learn, or whether he could achieve anything. Because he had never thought about becoming a legendary figure on this continent.
"I instead wish for more miracles to appear on you." The failure of the full-system magician's impact is the eternal pain in Old Card's heart.
Days passed, with the two people's low-level magic battles, quietly flowing away. As a result, Liú Yún kept her hair standing on end every day, and her healing technique proficiency rapidly increased, constantly approaching instant release.
At night, after a day of training, the team members fell asleep quickly. Liú Yún pushed open the door to the room where the team members lived and walked in. Looking at the sleeping team members and listening to their sweet snores, Liú Yún felt as if he had returned to his familiar military camp, seeing those familiar faces again.
Gently tucking in the blankets for her teammates, Liuyun silently walked out of the room.
Night, very quiet.
A gentle breeze caresses my face, like a lover's hand.
The sky, the stars twinkling like a lover's eyes.
The flowing clouds under the night sky are like a sculpture, desolate and lonely.
