Chapter One Hundred and One Woman
Han Jin was meditating with his eyes closed, when he suddenly heard a faint cry that seemed to be suppressed by something. He immediately opened his eyes and looked around, but everyone was resting. Xian Ni'er, who was on watch, was hiding behind some leaves. From Han Jin's direction, he could see two feet swaying back and forth, as if... nothing had happened.
Han Jin waited for a moment, just about to fall down, when that shrill cry sounded again. He stood up and walked in the direction of the sound source.
Because Moshino and Shilna rolled together while sleeping in the past, later when sleeping everyone would separate into their own areas, at least separating men and women to avoid similar situations. Fortunately it was Moshino and Shilna, they had known each other for many years and had a very ambiguous relationship, so they didn't make a big deal out of this, if it were someone else who rolled together, how would that be resolved?
Kaili and Xilena were resting in their makeshift tent, Xilena was sleeping soundly, while Kaili seemed to be having a nightmare. Her eyelids were trembling rapidly, her small mouth slightly open, letting out a long string of low but clear cries, like a siren singing.
Han Jin saw that Jiali's forehead was covered in sweat, and he understood that she had fainted and couldn't wake up on her own. He stretched out his hand and gently patted her cheek, calling out to her until she finally stopped making noise, but her mouth was still open, creating a somewhat strange scene.
Han Jin turned to leave, but who knew Xiuli let out a sharp cry again. It seemed that she was disgusted by the two corpses. Han Jin was very clear that he hadn't drunk any water. If he really had drunk from the spring, he would have definitely left some psychological shadows behind.
"Qian Li, wake up! Wake up!" Han Jin said as he gently patted Qian Li's forehead a few times.
Qīng Lì suddenly jumped up and hugged Hán Jìn, who was startled and shook. His fists were clenched tightly, almost hitting Qīng Lì's body. It wasn't that Hán Jìn had always been on guard against Qīng Lì, but rather a natural reaction when people are frightened. Some people would scream loudly when scared, or run around wildly, while others would launch an attack at the same time as being startled, and Hán Jìn belonged to the latter category.
"It's me, don't be nervous... relax..." Han Jin said in a low voice.
The arbor behind was opened, Xanthe curiously looked inside, and on the other side, Serena also opened her eyes in confusion, saying "What's going on?"
"It's nothing, Khloe just had a nightmare." Han Jin felt extremely embarrassed. Strictly speaking, someone else having a nightmare had nothing to do with him. Firstly, because while sleeping, Khloe wasn't wearing much. Now that she was tightly wrapped in his arms, he could even feel the beating of her heart, not to mention other sensations.
"Oh..." Xilena turned over and fell asleep again in a daze.
Khloe slowly came to. She pushed away Jian and lay down on the grass mat. Xanthe asked anxiously, "Khloe, are you okay?"
"It's nothing. I just had a nightmare. Thank you." Kelly replied vaguely.
Han Jin shrugged and retreated outside. Xanier looked at Han Jin's face seriously, then suddenly said: "Raphael, you've been with many women, haven't you?"
"No." Han Jin was taken aback.
"Really?" Xian Ni'er walked over, looking up and down at Han Jin. Smiling, she said: "If it really doesn't exist, do you know what will happen then?"
"What's it like?"
"Flushed and embarrassed, with a dry mouth and tongue, yet not daring to look at others, just like Xueli now." Xanni frowned and said: "You don't look like a young person at all."
"Nonsense, she's a woman and I'm a man, how can we be compared?" Han Jin also realized that he was too calm and had to find some other excuses to cover it up. If he were really a rookie, after hugging Qili earlier, there would definitely be some issues, it's impossible to remain calm and composed.
"So tell me, have you ever been with a woman before?" Xanier's tone was much softer this time.
"I've bumped into you before, what's there to ask?" Han Jin said in surprise.
"Y... I mean that kind of..." Xian Ni'er's face turned red.
"What was that you just said?" Han Jin asked with a humble heart.
Xian Ni Er was finally defeated by Han Jin's shameless questioning, or perhaps she was simply too ashamed to answer. She murmured a few vague responses and quickly walked away, jumping back up into the trees after a few strides.
Whenever the topic of women comes up, Han Jin feels a sense of speechless sorrow. In his opinion, there are only two types of women: those who require responsibility and those who don't, and he has always had a soft spot for the latter. Only young people who fundamentally don't understand what responsibility is would be willing to take on the responsibility of all the beautiful women in the world, as if they want to spread their seeds all over the world. Those with experience naturally understand that one serving of responsibility is already heavy enough.
Han Jin, of course, understood this point, so he didn't have much interest in Qili or Xian Ni'er, despite their stunning looks. Mo Xin Ke was the most disappointing, at Gu Ya Cheng, he first used all sorts of tempting words to describe the charm of bar girls to Han Jin, making him curious about these professional players in this world. Then, with a solemn oath, he promised to take Han Jin out to broaden his horizons, but as it turned out, Mo Xin Ke was being closely watched by Xi Er Na, not to mention going out to have fun, even the number of times they could drink together was extremely limited.
Alas... Han Jin let out a light sigh and fell back onto the grass mat, gazing at the blue sky in a daze. He suddenly felt wide awake.
It wasn't until nightfall, amidst Michelle's shouts, that everyone opened their eyes one after another. The sleep schedule was completely reversed, and no matter how long they slept, it just didn't seem enough.
The bonfire rose, and the crowd gathered around it. Han Jin lazily pulled out a piece of Tree Demon Wood and began to carve it. Making the Xuanwu Qiseng Curse had become a daily routine, and it was hard to change from being frugal to being extravagant, or vice versa. Everyone was used to riding on the turtle's back to travel, and if they were asked to walk on their own feet, they would probably go on strike.
Qīnglì yawned and emerged from the arbor. She saw Han Jin, her face suddenly flushing for no reason. Then her gaze quickly shifted to one side.
"Michel, why is it still bread? Can't we have something else?" Mosike shouted.
"We don't have anything else?" Michelle said with difficulty: "Only bread."
"Can't some other things be brought out?"
"Where are you going to put it?" Han Jin said irritably: "Put it in the spatial ring of Xian Ni'er and me? Or do you want to carry it on your back?"
"Right, the space ring!" Mo Xinkai looked at Sasou: "How about that space ring? Can it open up space?"
"No way. It's already become scrap." Sasori said with a shake of his head.
"What if we find an alchemist to work with? Can it be repaired?" Mo Xingke was a bit reluctant.
"Well, I don't know, at least we should give it a try."
"Right, Mo Xinke. Bring me that jade pendant." Han Jin said.
Xilina handed the jade pendant to Mo Xinko, and Mo Xinko handed it over to Han Jin. Han Jin took it carefully and observed that the shape of the jade pendant was very ancient, the material was excellent, but it didn't seem like an ornament. The jade pendant only had the upper half left, making it difficult to discern its purpose.
"Have any of you ever seen a jade pendant like this before?" Han Jin asked. To be honest, the two dead people had nothing to do with them, and trying to figure out the inside story was just because Han Jin's occupational disease had acted up.
"I'll take a look." For some reason, Hwang Jin-yi, who had been quietly avoiding him, was the first to stretch out her hand.
Han Jin handed the jade pendant to Kaili. Soon, the jade pendant was passed around among the crowd, but no one could provide any information related to it.
"Raphael, what's with your sudden interest in Cabri?" Sasori asked: "We've... only met him once, haven't we?"
"I couldn't sleep during the day, so I took a walk in the woods. I found many signs of battle left behind, they fought all the way there." Han Jin pointed downstream towards the spring water: "Then Kaburi was subdued, his companions were killed, and then Kaburi suffered prolonged torture and interrogation, finally dying under mysterious circumstances, I couldn't find any reason for his death at all. Don't you think he's hiding a huge secret?"
"Come on, give me two more." Michell started distributing the bread. Mochiko, who had an extreme aversion to bread, surprisingly grabbed a few pieces. No one was interested in Han's judgment, which wasn't surprising, as Han's words were unclear and lacked persuasive power. If he said Cabry knew of a giant dragon treasure, these people would show Han what true enthusiasm looked like.
Han Jin felt a bit embarrassed, and Xian Ni'er said slowly: "Kabri is a high-ranking sage. If his enemy can capture him and take his life with methods we don't know about, then his enemy can also deal with any of us. We already have enough trouble, do we need to provoke another group of enemies?"
"This... you're right." Han Jin smiled slightly, casually putting the jade pendant into his spatial ring. Although he thought Xanier was right, he still couldn't bear to throw away the only clue.
"Leizhe, what's fun at your place?" Xilina asked.
"Think about what you want to play." Lei Zhe thought for a moment: "Have you seen a waterfall?"
"What I want is something unusual."
"My hometown only has a little over a hundred villagers, do you think there would be many strange and unusual things?" Lei Zhe said with a bitter smile.
"Is it true that when Commander Conard was a child, he met an old man who was very poor? Commander Conard had a kind heart and ran back home to find some food for the old man. As a result, he became the old man's student?" Sasu asked.
"It's true, I saw him when I was a kid." Lei Zhe said in a low voice: "My grandparents were just ordinary farmers, how could they possibly cultivate a tenth-stage strongman?"
"Wow..." The atmosphere of the discussion suddenly became lively, and this kind of dramatic story is more likely to attract people's attention.
"Did you see him when you were a kid? What happened afterwards?" Sasori asked.
"He's been missing for many years." Lei Zhe sighed, he was very clear that his father's skills were all learned from that old man, if that old man was still around, he would have been able to guide his father from time to time, and his father wouldn't have died prematurely in his prime.
