Chapter 4 The Valley

  Chapter 4: The Valley

After being sucked into the Fei Sheng Temple, Zhao Ji saw that everything before his eyes was a dazzling golden light with a purple glow, and he was almost blinded by it. Later, he felt the ground beneath him shaking violently, and then he fainted.

Waking up again, Zhao Ji shook his slightly dizzy head, got up and looked around, finding himself in a large, spacious hall that was glittering with gold.

Inside the grand hall, it was empty and desolate. As far as the eye could see, except for an ancient well-like thing in one corner, there was nothing else.

"Hmm, could it be that this is the failure of Fei Sheng Dian?"

He felt that the golden light was very familiar, Zhao Ji slightly stunned for a moment, furrowed his brow and thought for a while, then muttered to himself in an uncertain tone.

As soon as he finished speaking, Zhao Ji stood there in a daze, and a memory that didn't belong to him appeared in his mind, a mysterious piece of information revealed itself.

After a moment, Zhao Ji came back to his senses, his expression somewhat dazed, with a look of astonishment and incredulity that he had just encountered something unbelievable, naturally revealing itself, and it was only after a long time that he barely calmed down.

"Unbelievable! This Fei Sheng Dian is indeed a treasure of the ages. I, Zhao Ji, never thought I'd have such an extraordinary encounter."

Stunned by the extra information in his mind, Zhao Ji calmed down for a long time before he could calm down his shocked emotions, and a hint of excitement, even ecstatic intention, rose from his chest.

As a special soldier, Zhao Ji's hobby is reading various fantasy and martial arts novels. The protagonist's adventures in these stories often make people envy him. Zhao Ji never thought that one day he would also encounter such things.

Although the unexpected encounter was good, it couldn't make Zhao's long-term loss of composure go away. After accepting the fact that he had taken control of Fei Sheng Hall, he swept a glance at the empty and spacious great hall, and walked towards the direction of the main gate.

The gate of Feisheng Hall was huge and thick, and it was not light in weight. Zhao had to use a lot of force to push the gate open.

As the gate opened, Zhao Ji looked out and saw a dense forest before him. Towering trees rose from the ground, their lush branches intertwining to form a vast canopy that rustled softly in the gentle breeze.

  "It's okay, it's okay."

Seeing this scene, Zhao was greatly relieved for a moment, patted his chest with his palm, and let out a sigh of relief.

The same dense forest made Zhao Ji think that he was still in the forest where he was hunting down "Bloodthirsty Cunning Wolf", and the unexpected event earlier hadn't taken him to some inexplicable place.

As soon as he walked out of the Fei Sheng Hall, Zhao Ji looked up at the sky with his head held high, and his expression changed drastically. A hint of horror, shock, and confusion appeared in his eyes.

What Zhao Ji saw was a ring of mountain walls surrounding the place where he was, with an opening at the top that resembled a cave entrance. Outside the entrance was a vast expanse of blue sky.

Staring blankly at the cave entrance that was hundreds of feet high, Zhao Ji's expression was dull and numb, as if he had become an idiot. After a long time, a wry smile involuntarily floated to the corner of his mouth.

"Impossible! The Fei Sheng Palace has actually fallen into a mountain valley."

He let out a bitter laugh, Zhao Ji was extremely depressed.

This depression was not only because Fei Sheng Dian fell into a valley, but also because Zhao Ji thought that he might not be on Earth anymore.

This valley was clearly not the forest before, and with that wonderful piece of information in his mind, Zhao Ji was not surprised at all by what happened next.

Looking at the valley, the vegetation is exceptionally lush, like a forest, I think there won't be a lack of animals, food shouldn't be a problem, and accommodation doesn't need to worry, just build a wooden house casually.

However, apart from eating and living, a person has other needs, such as wearing clothes, entertaining, and communicating with people, so if he is trapped in the valley for too long, Zhao Ji doesn't know if he can bear it.

With this worry, Zhao was given a sense of crisis and also the motivation to figure out the situation in the valley and find a way out.

Along the direction of the gate of Feisheng Temple, Zhao Ji Da stepped away with big strides and disappeared into the dense forest in front of him after a while. At this moment, he felt that the daylight had dimmed.

Although it is in a valley, the opening above is large enough to allow intense sunlight to pour down, otherwise the plants in the valley would not be able to grow so well. However, compared to the normal situation where you can enjoy the sunshine, it's still slightly inferior.

And entered the dense forest, due to the branches and leaves of the big trees being too dense, blocking out the sunlight from above, making the forest even more gloomy, with everything in front of me turning a dark grey color.

After walking forward for a moment in the front-left direction, a pinecone came flying over. This attack was very sudden, but its power and speed were not enough.

He slightly tilted his head to let the pinecone that was thrown over pass by, and Zhao Ji's eyes narrowed slightly as he saw a small, fluffy animal with a big tail crouching on the branches of a tree in front of him, its two front paws still holding several pinecones.

  "Squirrels, are there purple ones?"

That big-tailed creature looked exactly like a squirrel, except that it was purple.

It turned out that Zhao Ji had unknowingly arrived in front of a forest of pine trees, where, apart from the purple squirrel, a group of squirrels could be vaguely seen.

After knowing that the attacker was a squirrel, Zhao Ji also didn't make a big deal out of it. After all, he couldn't be bothered with a small animal, especially one as cute as this.

He smiled at the purple squirrel and turned around, but instead of entering the pine forest in front of him, he walked to his right, deliberately avoiding those lovely squirrels.

After spending two or three hours, Zhao Ji explored most of the mountain valley and finally found a path in one corner that could lead out of the valley.

A three-foot-wide passageway, no more than ten feet long, stood at one end, and the sky light shining through from the other end could be seen, as well as the "huffing" sound of the wind, which echoed in Zhao Ji's ears.

"What bad luck, I actually have to crawl through a cave."

While muttering to himself, Zhao Ji crawled into the cave.

It won't work if you don't climb. Judging from the situation of this passage, it is very likely to be an exit. Finally, there was a glimmer of hope, and he didn't want to give up.

After a great deal of effort, he crawled out of the passageway and stood up with his feet firmly on the ground. Just as he had barely gotten to his feet, Zhao Ji's body suddenly lurched violently, almost losing his balance.

A strong gust of wind came head-on, the force was so great that Zhao Ji was almost blown away without any defense.
