Chapter 1: The Birth

An empty and vast space stretched out for infinity, a lifeless white void with only dust particles floating without direction. Nothing else existed here in this space, in the white, nothing except the bits of dust and white.

This is how it should be.

  A universe with no concepts.

Time did not exist because it had halted. Consumed by the white. It’s cousin, death, no longer could occur with nothing left to die. Life, the creator of these concepts, had ceased long ago, leaving everything to rot.

As it always happens, as it always should.

All that was left was nothing, nothing but to idle and bask in the white serenity of true peace.

This was the remaining will of the universe, to sit here and do nothing among the dust of its destroyed self like it has done countless times before. Yes, the universe had died. How and why? It didn’t matter. This was not the first time, and it won’t be the last.

Now all the will did was wait, wait and wallow while hoping a new universe wouldn’t be born so this peace it had would not be disturbed.

But with nothing left how would a new universe be started? Well, it required the conscious effort of someone or something. Easily, the will of the universe itself could start up a new universe, but it did not want to do that. It was tired of the cycle of death and rebirth so it long since stopped doing the process itself.

So, what does that leave us with? Well, that leaves us with a very curious dust particle that asks a very innocent and pure question.

  ‘Who am I?’

This question, to the annoyance of the will, jumpstarted the creation of the universe, as it had done two things.

First, it created the concept of self, an important aspect of life.

Second, forced the universe to justify the existence of this dust particle.

Through no fault of its own this speck of dust was now a second conscious observer, lucky it, and the universe had to give it an answer to sate its curiosity, lest it start asking more questions and introduce more concepts.

This was not its first rodeo, it knew a half assed answer would not satisfy it, so it drew upon its knowledge and combined several aspects from worlds long forgotten, assigned it a name, a race, and an appearance in an attempt to satisfy it, even throwing in some customizable options and presented the answer to it.

  = = = = = =

The dust particle that had developed a conscious had been floating for as long as it could remember, it did not question its white surroundings, finding them comfortable, but as an immeasurable amount of time passed it was unaware of, it finally asked it’s first question out of curiosity.

  ‘Who am I?’

And before it had time to ponder the meaning of that question, it was answered. Information was forced into its conscious.

  INT: G

  WIS: G-

‘What is this?’ The dust questioned but was immediately met with an answer as the information was forced into their consciousness. ‘Status? It is who I am…’ It did not know how or wh- never mind, the moment it questioned how it was gaining knowledge was answered. What was known as the will of the universe was feeding it information so it could understand.

It would question what that was, but it was what it was. The will of the universe was just that, the will of the universe.

‘Iris… That is my name?’ It felt a weird feeling well up inside it, but it wasn’t a bad feeling, it was almost warm. ‘Wait, why is my race undecided?’ As the information that was forced onto it said, race was its species.

  [Will be decided later.]

A voice assaulted its mind, something it subconsciously recognized as the will. ‘Later? Why later?’

[Bring your attention to your CP.]

‘CP?’ It focused on the CP, knowing from the information it was used for various things but nothing detailed, it just said various things…

[That is CP, or Creation Points. For now, use them to increase your stats.]

  ‘Stats?’

New information poured into its conscious, the stats are respectfully.

Strength: Decides how much physical strength one can put out.

Constitution: Influences health along side race, effects physical damage mitigation, and stamina.

  Dexterity: Effects speed and reflexes.

Intelligence: Is the capacity to learn, while also effecting magic control and damage.

Wisdom: the mana capacity and magical defense.

Each stat had a rank, G- being the worst and SSS+ being the best.

It didn’t have anything to compare it to, but having everything be in the G rank seemed to be bad, very bad. The will said she could increase the rank with CP?

[Would you like to increase STR from rank G- > G? This will cost 100CP]

When it tried to do so it was met with a similar voice to the will, but a bit different somehow. But anyways it seemed like it could increase the rank at the cost of 100cp, and with all it had it was a tiny cost to pay.

  But why stop there?

[Would you like to increase STR from rank G > G+? This will cost 110CP]

‘Oh, it increased.’ But it was still a tiny price to pay. So it kept increasing the rank of its stats. The costs increased each time but it stopped paying attention, to Iris this was all the points where to be used for. Eventually they managed to max each and every stat.

‘Hey, will? I am done.’ Iris let out into the void.

[Are you sure? This is final.]

‘Mhm, yup!’ Iris was satisfied, sure they were almost out of points but with nothing left to spend on and with SSS+ being the best what else could they do?

  [Finalizing…]

‘Fina- ompf!’ A bright light enveloped the dust particle, it’s form shifting and expanding, growing and stretching, sensations it never knew even existed developing its, or now, her body. Her arms grew out, her legs stretched beneath her, pale skin covering her body as silverly pink hair flowed from atop her scalp and floated about around her.

She opened her purple hued eyes and raised her hands in front of her face “This is…me?” she spoke out of her mouth, gasping as she reached for it, pinching her lips and sticking her hand inside her mouth to feel her teeth.

  [Stop that.]

New information flowed into her mind, common sense concerning her body. She removed her hand swiftly from her mouth, blushing slightly. “Sorry.” She said, looking herself over, particularly loving the way her hair flowed around her, she did a little spin before opening her status.

  Name: Iris

  Race: Creation Goddess

  Gender: Female

  CP: 437

  HP: NULL/NULL MP: NULL/NULL

  STR: SSS+

  CON: SSS+

  DEX: SSS+

  INT: SSS+

  WIS: SSS+

“Huh, Creation Goddess?” she floated around in the endless space, wondering what that meant but received no new information about it in her head, or about the concerning NULL value for her health and mana “Hey Will? You there? What does NULL mean?” She asked but received no answer.

  “Will?”

She was left there, in silence.

  = = = =

The lonely girl would be left there, in her own personal spot of white. The will hoping her curiosity sated with its question answered and would be content, like it, to stay in the peace for infinity without asking any more dangerous questions.

  “Will? Hello?”

But life was not so simple, the girl would not be content without knowing more. Before she had the chance to ask any questions and create more concepts it would have to send it enough information to satisfy it. So it began to do so, composing a small mental book of information to keep it busy.

With this, hopefully it would be content and will go back to floating aimle-

  “Where even is this?”

  [FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-]

That was THE most dangerous question that could have been asked, as, until that very question was asked, the concept of where didn’t exist, as the white space was nowhere and there was no way to determine where you were while it existed, so in order to create the concept of where the universe did a very simple thing.

It initiated what some people in passed cycles may call…

  The big bang.

The explosion centered on the girl, catapulting her, and now everything else, everywhere. The white void now becoming space, and the distant screaming of the girl flying through it at unimaginable speeds as the universe forms around her.

  […]

Well, the universe thought, if they survive that then it would automatically send her the information she needed, but for now, creating a whole new universe took a lot out of it, so it would sleep, with time now existing due to it now being able to be tracked, the will of the universe grew tired.

  And it fell asleep.
