Chapter V: A True Friend

  Chapter V: A True Friend

"If one more thing tries to fucking eat me or put me in their mouth, I'm gonna lose it."

“I guess while I’m flying here I should pick one of these, but which one? Hmmm.”

“No. That’s not really my speed, sorry, and fighter is probably the same, just a less in-your-face type of role, I’m guessing. Skip.”

Double no, I have no rhythm. Everyone will just laugh at me, and I have no arms. Also what instrument would I even play?! Stupid suggestion, next please.”

“Not a bad pick, although, I’m not the religious type… I do like the idea of protecting others though. Maybe there is something else worth picking here?”

“Versatility sounds nice. No sense in being a one-trick pony as they say. What about the others?”

“That sounds awesome. I can’t lie, flinging spells and blowing up all the fucks who want to eat me. Ah, what a dream. But I should probably look at all my options.”

  “Fuck you! Next!”

  “Next please…”

“I like all those things. Keep it coming.”

“Sneaky, sneaky, not a bad option either. There should be one more right?”

“Interesting… Now what do I choose? I wish I had a coin to flip here. Maybe I should let my feathery friend decide.”

  *Flap* *Flap* *Flap*

No response? That’s fine. I’m used to stewing in my own head at this point. Hmm, fuck it, druid it is.”

  “I have a companion?! When?”

“No shit huh? Maybe she won’t feed me to a chickling if I name her. Good call there Mr. Blue Box.”

  *Flap* *Flap* *Flap*

  “I dub thee Flappers!”

“Great, now take us down to the nearest landing strip there Flappers. I’m really starting to feel the motion sickness, and I’m not sure how to throw up.”

The white soar bird took its time to descend beneath the trees, whilst clutching the rock firmly in its beak. And with significant grace, it weaved through many trees and came to a landing inside of a peaceful meadow.

  *Plop* *Thud*

“Ow, c’mon now, don’t just dumb me like a log. Bah, at least you seem to hear my mental commands, which is bizarre.”
