Chapter 32: That Proves Im Dead!

  Chapter 1: Are you sick?

Liu Mingwei almost fell to the ground, feeling that he had been talking for half a day, but that woman didn't have any intention of compromising at all.

Even Bai Su's heart was getting anxious. Why is this girl still biting down and refusing to let go?

If Liu Mingwei really reported it, he also had a chance to capsize ----- after all, his son was beaten and the person was unconscious, they were victims.

What's more, he was worried that after reporting to the police, the Butterfly Group would definitely have to go to the police station to make a statement. If it were discovered that Tang Chong was a man, this matter would be impossible to settle. It would also be a loss for them.

However, since Lin Huiyin insisted, she couldn't persuade her otherwise. Because if she did, it would only make Liu Mingwei think that their side was guilty.

Liu Mingwei is an old fox who has been in business for many years and still has a keen eye.

"Right. Call the police. Let Uncle Policeman catch this bad guy." Zhang Heben also echoed. "Also dare to touch my thigh ----- no one has ever touched my thigh before."

After some thought, Zhang He added: "Except for when my mom bathed me and touched me, no one else has had the opportunity..."

Liu Mingwei took a deep breath and suppressed the irritability in his body.

He suddenly burst out laughing, looking at Lin Huiyin and saying: "Miss Huiyin, this matter was indeed Weidong's fault. As his father, I apologize to you on his behalf. Weidong is still young, and he had a lot of wine today - men always make mistakes after drinking. Please, Miss Huiyin, consider my old face and give him another chance."

Seeing Lin Huiyin still with a cold face and not saying a word, Liu Mingwei continued: "Of course, I know that all of you have been wronged today. I've prepared a small gift, hoping that you can accept it."

Temporary things happen, where did Liu Mingwei go to prepare gifts?

So he pulled out his checkbook from his pocket and wrote a check.

"There's a million here. Consider it a gift for a few of you to calm your nerves." He handed the money over to Bai Su.

"Liu Dong, you're being too distant. We didn't accept your invitation to dinner just for this one million." Bai Su also didn't reach out to take the check.

"Haha, yes, I understand. This is something I understand." Liu Mingwei said with a smile. "This has nothing to do with our feelings. As I said, this is just a small gift I gave to several beauties."

He took a glance at the numbers on the check and said, "Oh, getting old, easy to write wrong numbers."

He put the check for one million in his pocket and then took out the checkbook again, writing down a new set of numbers.

"Manager Bai, please accept this small gift from me." Liu Mingwei handed over the check again. "I have shown my sincerity. Please advise Miss Huiyin as well. The three of them are all young girls, and it's understandable that they can be a bit stubborn. However, they also have bright futures ahead of them, and there's no need to get stuck on one rock."

"I can feel Mr. Liu's sincerity." Bai Su, without any hint of excitement, took the check from Liu Mingwei and said: "Their clothes are all dirty, I'll use this money to buy them new clothes."

"Trouble Manager Bai." Liu Mingwei said politely.

"It's regrettable that something like this has happened." Bai Su glanced at Liu Wei Dong. "Regardless of whether or not Mr. Liu believes us, we don't want to have any grievances with him."

"How could it be? We'll still be friends in the future." Liu Mingwei smiled very sincerely.

"Goodbye." Bai Su walked over and pulled Zhang He's small hand, being the first to leave the private room.

Lin Huiyin followed closely behind, neither of them looked back at Liu's father and son again.

Tang Chong walked at the very back, just in time to catch Liu Mingwei's face change from a smile to a cold sneer.

"Liu Dong, are you okay?" asked Yan Li, the director of the general office, as she walked up to him with concern.

"It's nothing." Liu Mingwei waved his hand. "Take Weidong to the hospital. I won't show up."

"Alright, I'll call someone up." Yan Li started dialing. The driver was still waiting downstairs.

"Liu Dong, should we terminate our contract with Butterfly?" asked Cao Lei, the marketing manager of MIFU.

"Cancel the contract?" Liu Mingwei shook his head. "That's too cheap for them. My money isn't that easy to get."

"I understand," said Cao Wei with a gloomy face.

Although they had won a great victory, the atmosphere in the car was very heavy.

This state continued until they returned to the villa, still no one spoke to break the silence.

Lin Huiyin turned on the TV, Zhang Heben was holding a computer playing games, Bai Su kicked off her high heels and fell onto the sofa, looking up at the ceiling with an unknown thought.

Tang Chong smiled and didn't mind.

He prepared to go back to his room to take a bath, remove his makeup, and then change into his usual "nerd" attire to return to school.

He still has to get up early for military training tomorrow and can't sleep outside.

"Tang Zhong!" Bai Su suddenly shouted out loud.

Tang Chong turned around and saw Bai Su sitting up straight.

"I want to talk with you." Bai Su pointed at the sofa in front of her.

Tang Zhong smiled with a pout, he knew she couldn't hold back, but didn't expect her to last that long.

He sat down in the sofa position pointed by Bai Su's finger, making a gesture of listening attentively.

Looking at his delicate face, long eyelashes, beautiful eyes, and the curved lips that seemed to be tempting her, Bai Su couldn't help but fail to associate the Tang Chong sitting in front of her with the one who had punched Liu Weidong's face repeatedly in the Wilson Hotel suite earlier.

He was just given a dual identity and didn't have the ability to give him a dual personality.

In a daze, I suddenly didn't know what words to use as an opening remark.

"Tang Chong, is there anything you'd like to say?" asked Bai Su.

"No." Tang Zhong shook his head.

"Do you think... what you're doing tonight is right?" asked Bai Su.

"It doesn't matter whether it's right or wrong," said Tang Chong. "What matters is whether it should be done."

"You mean to say... that as long as you think it should be done, even if the thing is wrong, you'll still do it?" asked Bai Su.

Tang Chong looked at Bai Su's extremely charming face and thought to himself, she really is beautiful, that kind of mature woman's charm far surpasses Lin Huiyin and Zhang Heben.

"You're looking at my face now," Tang Zhong said. "Do you think I'm a bad person?"

Do you think I'm a bad person?

This question suddenly stunned Bai Su.

  Is he a bad guy?

He kicked the thug who had been harassing him, breaking two of his ribs. He beat up the MIFU Group chairman who insulted and tried to molest them until he was knocked out - looks like he's a violent guy.

But these two times, one was for myself and the other was for them.

He is not a bad person.

The problem is, why are good people always so ruthless when they take action?

"You're not a bad person." Bai Su said with certainty. "No one thinks you're a bad person. If I thought you were a bad person, I wouldn't dare let you stay here-----What I want to talk to you about is whether you can control your emotions? As I've said, you're a star, and every move of a star will be scrutinized by countless people. A small slip of the tongue or a minor mistake will be magnified infinitely through a microscope and then attacked. We are in peaceful times now, but that doesn't mean we are all safe. Being killed by public opinion is more unbearable than being killed with knives and guns."

"I know." Tang nodded his head, expressing high recognition of Bai Su's words. "So, I will never live for some unimportant fools."

Seeing Bai Su being speechless again by his own words, there is indeed a small sense of pride in his heart.

He looked at Bai Suo and asked: "If I weren't Tang Xin... if Tang Xin himself was Tang Xin, how would you all deal with something like this happening tonight?"

"Refuse. Then leave." said Bai Su.

"So, those words he said and things he did will just end like this?" Tang Chong asked with narrowed eyes.

Bai Su's eyes darted around as she said: "-----it's also possible that he would slap him. But, in any case, he wouldn't beat someone to this extent."

Tang Zhong smiled and said, "You know, I came out of prison - I lived in there for many years. I was very young when I went in. I ate big pot rice, wore hundred-family clothes, and even learned my fighting skills from the prisoners. I learned a lot of miscellaneous things inside, some useful, some that might never be used in my lifetime."

"But I think the most important thing I learned is to understand some principles - why are prisoners locked up in prison? It's because they've done something wrong. Everyone who has done something wrong should be punished. Only then will they yearn to be a good person when they come out."

"If everyone who does wrong doesn't have to pay any price, isn't the cost of crime too low? In that case, isn't it also unfair to those prisoners who are locked up for years, decades or even a lifetime?"

"Why can they live at peace while others have to spend their whole lives or even sacrifice their own lives to make up for their mistakes?"

"Tang Zhong, I understand what you mean." Bai Su knew that she was moved by Tang Zhong's words. But things can't go on like this.

Tang Chao beat up a fan who was harassing him last time, this time he beat up Liu Weidong, what's next?

"Tang Chong, this society is not as pure as you imagine it to be."

"You're wrong. I'm just too disappointed in this society, so I can only take matters into my own hands." Tang Chong burst out laughing.

"This circle is even more so. What happened today will happen again in the future, are you going to fight them back one by one?"

  "Why not?" Tang Zhong retorted.

"One of these days you'll kick a nail."

"Then kick the iron plate through."

"What if you encounter someone who is hard to contend with? Would you still throw a punch at him?"

  "It's impossible," T'ang Chzhao said.

  "Aren't you being too confident?"

"As long as it's someone I think should be opposed, I'll stick to the end." Tang Chong said with a smile. The voice was soft, but with an unyielding overbearing tone. "If one day I don't throw a punch at them----that means I'm dead."
