Relic Heirs Sequel, Hiatus, Q&A and more!

  Ave, Reader.

Rare is the crossroads on which we meet in direct conversation, but at the end of this book, I would like to indulge some sentimentality.

I appreciate you all so very deeply, you see. Each and every mind.

Relic Heirs is the first work I've actively shared with a public audience, and the breadth of feedback I've received has been instrumental in shaping me into a better writer. Comments or no, the fact that interest existed and you continued to read...well, it makes one feel like they're doing at least something a little bit right.

Relic Heirs: On the Shoulder of Giants is at an end, but it is clearly not the close of Bridget's journey. I have notes and plans for the rest of the series, however, as a writer trying to establish my career in traditional publishing, I am faced with a glaring dilemma:

This book is hosted on another platform. Read the official version and support the author's work.

The market's utterly flooded with magic school stories.

I have every confidence in the strength of Bridget's tale, but for a debut, I don't know that an agent would even give it a glance.

It's a rough reality, but as I've been told by quite literally every person in the industry that I've reached out to for help: "That's just how it is".

That does not mean that there will be no Relic Heirs sequel. It just means that the next time we see each other, it'll be in a different world, delving into the depths of new magic through the glasses of someone I cannot wait for you to meet. Given time, I will return and continue Relic Heirs, but I only have so much time and well-being with which to write.

I'm going to take a month-long hiatus from posting chapters to focus on myself, and this next project.

Two weeks from now, I will post a Q&A, along with more information about my new book.

If you have any questions about Relic Heirs, the new project, or anything else, please comment on this post, and I will answer them in the next update!

Finally, thank you. For being here, spending your time with me, and living, even for a moment, in legend.

Until the next time we escape together,

  AME
