Nothingness from Nowhere

“It’s all so stupid”. A nobody said to nothing in the forest.

“It’s life,” A Nothing replied, “I don’t think that's stupid, quite the opposite actually.”

“But it’s blank. It’s a constant when there's so much new to do.” A nobody said to nothing.

“I think that’s how it’s supposed to go? Choose your own adventure? I think it’s meant to be blank.” nothing said.

“Blank but not bleak. Not repetitive.” A nobody said, wandering down the hill.

“No, not bleak. It wasn’t meant to go like that, but it did. And it’s- well not much we can do.” Nothing replied, gliding down from the clouds.

“But does it get better? Less bleak and blank, more depth and color?” Nobody said, finally resting on the hill.

“I don’t know, I think we’d have to get there first.” Nothing said, ever hovering above the ground.

“But can we even get there?” Nobody said after a long, long time.

“I- well I would like to think so.” Nothing said.

“I would like to think so as well, But I do not want to be disappointed.” Nobody said, rising from the hill and walking back up.”

“I don’t think we’ll be disappointed, I think we’ll get there.” Nothing followed, breezing up the hill.

“I’m just so tired.” Somebody said.

“We’ll rest soon, hopefully when that rest comes we don’t need it.” Something said.

“I hope that our last rest was because we were happy, not because we gave up.” Somebody said, wandering back into the forest.

“We’ll be okay, we’ve made it this far, yes?” Something replied.

“We’ve survived every bad day, what’s one more?” Somebody replied.
