Chapter 104: Old Wangs Narrative III

Zha Wenbin rubbed the big seal in his hand and thought for a moment before saying, "You mean this place has been visited by someone long ago?"

Old Wang said, "Not bad, now we suspect that the pursuit of the historical traces of this Fusan Shentree has never stopped and has continued to modern times. The most famous person among them is Li Bai, a great poet of the Tang Dynasty! Li Bai was nicknamed the Wine Immortal, known for his elegant and carefree style throughout the ages. However, after careful analysis, although he ridiculed the imperial court at that time and enjoyed traveling around the mountains and rivers, his footprints were all over the five lakes and four seas. He himself was from the land of Bashu, and had written a famous article "The Difficulty of Shu Road", which led us to infer that he had been to Qifeng Mountain, and it is very likely that he also ventured into the mountain to explore, as for the results of the discovery, it should be nothing."

This "Shu Road is Difficult" has a total of 294 words, and the many scenes in the text are vividly described, whether it's the height of the mountains, the urgency of the water, the changing scenery of rivers and mountains, the desolation of forests and trees, or the danger of continuous peaks and steep walls.

In the poem, it starts with a distant landscape of rolling hills and continuous peaks reaching the sky. Isn't this the same view we see when standing at the village entrance and looking out? Then comes the rushing waterfalls, cliffs, and turning rocks, accompanied by the sound of thunder in the valleys. These are probably not unfamiliar to you brothers who have come all the way here. As for the description of "avoiding fierce tigers in the morning and avoiding long snakes in the evening", from the nine-layered clouds of Liu Long Hui Ri to the hundred-foot deep abyss of Chong Bo Ni Zhao, we have already encountered the long snake, and "Liu Long Hui Ri" is also a mythological story. Isn't this describing the legend of the Fusang sacred tree?

Li Bai spent his life roaming the mountains and waters, and it's highly likely that he was searching for these faint clues, which ultimately led him to the present-day Mount Emei! However, this outcome must have been a failure, but he left us with too many clues. "The difficulty of Shu Road is harder than ascending to heaven", also told us that this journey must be extremely perilous.

As for Brother Jiang's ancestors in Bashu, it can now be inferred that they were the ones described in Li Bai's poem as "Silkworms and fish scales, how vast was the opening of the country! You have come for 48,000 years, without communicating with the people of Qin Pass!"

Cancong was the first king of ancient Ba and Shu. The "Shu Wang Benji" records: "The ancestors of the King of Shu were named Cancong, later generations were called Bo Gan, and later they were called Yu Fu. These three generations each lasted for several hundred years, all of whom became gods and did not die, and their people also largely followed the king's transformation."

That is to say, the total number of kings who ruled all of ancient Chu was three, namely Can Cong, Bo Xiang and Yu Xiong. These people all had super-long lifespans, each living for several hundred years, and finally becoming gods after death. The descendants of those people also followed them in burial after they ascended to become gods.

According to the only historical records available, after dispatching historians and archaeologists for research, it was finally concluded that in ancient times, most of the ethnic groups in the southwest lived on the ancient Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, specifically the ancient Qiang tribe. Approximately 3,500 years ago, they began migrating eastward to the plains, intermingling with the native Han people and giving birth to the subsequent brilliant Chinese civilization.

However, one of them moved southeast to the Qiongfang Mountain area, living in accordance with the mountain terrain, building stone houses as their main feature, starting a fishing and hunting life, and extracting silk from wild silkworm cocoons. We call this group of people who lived in the Qiongfang Mountains the Shu Shan clan. Around 3000 BC, a woman from the Shu Shan clan married Huangdi as his concubine, and their descendants were Zhuanxu, one of the Five Emperors. The descendants of Zhuanxu then gave birth to Cancong, the ancestral king of the ancient Shu Kingdom.

This silkworm king often wore green clothes when he patrolled Ziming, so people called him the Green Robe God!

The silkworms found the climate here suitable for mulberry growth, so they went everywhere to persuade farmers to plant mulberries and raise silkworms. At that time, the ethnic group living in Shu was the Qiang people who came from the highlands of northwest Sichuan along the Minshan Mountains. They took sheep as their national totem and named themselves Yangren (sheep people). After Cancong's persuasion, most of the Qiang people finally settled down and entered the sericulture era.

The silkworms thrived with the mulberry trees, and the economy of Shu land took off rapidly. The "Huayang Guo Zhi" records: "After Zhou lost its power, Shu was the first to claim kingship, there was a Marquis Can Cong of Shu, whose eyes were vertical, he was the first to be called king."

In the late Western Zhou, King You of Zhou played with the beacons to summon the vassals, and the imperial court was in chaos. At that time, Shu was under the rule of Can Cong, the economy was prosperous, the people were at peace, and the national strength had grown strong enough to rival the Zhou Son of Heaven, so he took this opportunity to proclaim himself king in Shu and establish the State of Shu. Meanwhile, King You's son, Ji Yijiu, seeing that Haojing was surrounded by the four barbarians, fled with his officials to Luoyang and established the Eastern Zhou, which is known as "King Ping's eastward move".

As for the text of Shu State at that time, it was a curved mulberry tree with a worm under the tree. From then on, Shu State became famous for its sericulture and silk production, both domestically and internationally, until now. As for this text, it is the same as what Cha brothers saw in the General Temple, like you said, Egg Boy and Shang may have come here too, and finally met the Ba-Shu ape, which is the monkey that fell off the cliff with Cha brothers, and eventually got the heavenly book "Ru Yi Ce" through it. As for what this book is, I don't know either, but Cha brothers must know. In the Taoist family, there is a famous ancestor who opened the mountain, he is the one who worshiped Qingyi God as his master!

As for the interpretation of this text, it has long been lost. The regime changed several times until the reappearance of King Yú Kuài.

About 4,500 years ago, the Fish Fu tribe lived in the upper reaches of the Min River and engaged in fishing activities. They did not use nets or angling methods, but instead used birds to catch fish. The Fish Fu is a type of aquatic bird that catches fish, also known as the Water Eagle, which is now called the Black-billed Gull. It has a black body and a hooked beak. Some people still use this bird to catch fish today. They domesticated this bird to satisfy their basic survival needs and accumulated into a tribe at that time.

After several generations of migration, they entered the Chengdu Plain, and their tribal leader swallowed Dai Cancong and Bai Guan to become the new king of Shu. This bird has a habit of recognizing its nest, so in the primitive religious ritual of summoning souls, it was used as a carrier to recognize the summoned soul. The totem of the Fish Fu tribe includes fish and birds, as well as the bow and arrow that symbolize military power! That is, the scepter held by the Cha brothers should be the symbol of power at that time!

In the "Classic of Mountains and Seas - The Great Wilderness West Chapter", there is a myth: There was a fish named Fish Woman. Zhuanxu died and came back to life. The wind blew from the north, and the sky poured down great waters, and the snake transformed into a fish, which became the Fish Woman. According to our research perspective, the Fish Woman is actually the Fish Fu. Therefore, the Fish Fu clan was also a result of Zhuanxu's descendants merging with another clan! It can be said that Zhuanxu is the common ancestor of the entire Ba-Shu region. The original totem of the Zhuanxu clan was a bird, while the people who used fish as their totem were the legendary Di people, and in the end, the two tribes merged into one! The "Huayang National Chronicle - Shu Chronicle" records: "The next king was Fish Fu, who cultivated the land on Mount Qushan and suddenly obtained the Dao. The people of Shu thought of him and built a temple for him."

The Shu king Can Cong and the last generation of Wang Yu Fu, after death became immortals and were buried here! And Jiang brother's only branch that was not buried with them but left behind, their main purpose is to guard what's here, what is it? Besides the legendary Fusang sacred tree, it's the immortal bodies of these two kings! So their ancestral teachings are not to enter Qifeng Mountain, nor allow outsiders to enter, and Zhuo Yu Gui just happened to commit a great taboo, which opened the curtain for us to enter the mountain!

There are still many things that we can explain slowly later, but Brother Cha, the master in the tenth coffin you opened earlier is almost certainly Shu Wang Can Cong! And those dead silkworms were likely brought back by him from the Western Regions. As for those piles of white bones, they were just poor subjects who accompanied the burial.

And the owner of this jade coffin is most likely to be Fish Fu Wang! If Cha brothers' sun wheel was found in the coffin of Can Cong, then Fish Fu is very likely not to have found the Fusang divine tree, because without the guidance of the sun, it would not be possible to find the location where the divine tree rises, that is, the location of the divine tree!

As for you being arranged to come in, it's really because all the mechanisms and layouts here were created by that Daoist mastermind. Without a deep understanding of Daoist skills, ordinary people wouldn't have stood a chance. We've been searching for a long time until your appearance. However, this matter concerns too many people, so Brother Cha, I was forced to keep it hidden. What I should say, I've said. If you want to blame someone, blame me! Old Wang is willing to accept any punishment from you!

Lao Wang's words made Cha Wenbin think deeply, and the doubts he had been having for days finally began to clear up. Looking at Lao Wang's attitude of leaving everything to him, Cha Wenbin couldn't help but laugh: "You really look down on me, even hiding things from your own brother. I understand your difficulties, this isn't your fault. As for what you said, I also understood part of it - why everything here is related to water! Everything in human life is made up of water, water is the source of life. Because humans are born from water, and die returning to water, using water to explain life phenomena is quite natural. What you said about Emperor Zhuanxu being born from water, and after death ruling over the dark underworld is an example; the Marquis of Night Lang was born in the bamboo in the water, the mother of King Ai Liang became pregnant after touching the wood in the water; Du Yu's wife came out of a well on the outskirts of town... all these examples illustrate the inseparable relationship between water and life.

The withered fish, when the wind blows northward, at the time of the great waters and springs in the sky, can be revived. If this is really the Fish King's body after all, then the original design would not have taken this into account, so the water here has dried up, and the Fish King's road to rebirth...

Just as Zhang Wenbin was discussing with Old Wang, Chaozi suddenly shouted: "Look quickly at that!"

Along with Chaozi's voice, the hole in the cracked stairs suddenly gushed out a large amount of clear water from the ground. In less than a moment, it had already covered the entire ground again. The speed at which the water level rose was far beyond their imagination. At this moment, the red giant stone had become an isolated island. Along with the clear water, some strange things also gushed out. Hu Bai's white beard exclaimed in incredulity: "Di people! It's Di people! They're still alive!"
