Chapter 119: When Little Birds Rely on People
Hao Ren sat up, Zhao Yanzi turned around and walked out of the pavilion, heading towards the cafeteria.
It's just the right time when all four classes in the morning have ended. High school and junior high school students are coming out of the teaching buildings on both sides, running towards the cafeteria.
Zhao Yanzi had physical education class before, so she got out of class early. She took Hao Ren to the cafeteria when there weren't many people in line.
"Here. Take this and go sit over there!" Zhao Yanzi tossed the athletic wear into Hao Ren's hands, pointing to a certain seat near the window.
Hao Ren held the soft sportswear, and he could even smell a faint fragrance. He walked to the location Zhao Yanzi had told him about, sat down, and waited for her.
Looking at Zhao Yanzi's small figure in the team, and those two long braids hanging behind her neck, Hao Ren thought it was unbelievable.
On the surface, they couldn't get along, but somehow he ended up attending her school and even eating with her in the cafeteria.
A few minutes later, Zhao Yanzi walked over with two silver plates and sat down opposite Hao Ren.
"Rumble rumble rumble" At this moment, students rushed into the cafeteria, several windows, and instantly formed a long queue.
Hao Ren and Zhao Yanzi just arrived at the cafeteria a few minutes earlier, which happened to avoid the peak of queuing.
Zhao Yanzi, who was originally about to pick up his chopsticks and eat, thought for a moment. He picked up the plate, walked around the table, and sat shoulder-to-shoulder with Hao Ren.
"Oh, and I'm just a shield for you?" Hao Ren exposed her thoughts, saying.
"You've come all this way, so make the most of it!" Zhao Yanzi said with a smile, intentionally leaning in closer to Hao Ren.
All the students in the cafeteria were wearing school uniforms, with junior high school students wearing light blue uniforms and senior high school students wearing black uniforms. It was easy to tell them apart. But Hao Ren from outside the school wasn't wearing a uniform, which made him stand out in the cafeteria.
Soon, these middle school students all noticed Hao Ren in the cafeteria. They saw that he was so young and definitely not a teacher.
"Here, have a piece of chicken." Seeing everyone's gaze turned to this side, Zhao Yanzi performed even more vigorously. Intimately picked up a piece of meat and put it on Hao Ren's plate.
Hao Ren had eaten at Zhao Yanzi's place countless times, but she had never done something like this before. Now that she was being so considerate, her motive was quite obvious.
"So Zhao Yanzi has a boyfriend" "He doesn't seem very handsome though" "Not even as good-looking as Ming Ye from Class 3"
"Who's that, fatty, you know?"
"Isn't Gao Er's classmate Bao Zi pursuing her? How did she suddenly have a boyfriend?"
"Looks like you're from another school? How did you sneak in? Which high school are you from? Hedgehog, you have a lot of classmates, help me investigate"
Because of the large number of people in line, the queue moved slowly, and so the students' pointing and whispering gradually spread.
The position chosen by Zhao Yanzi was still by the window, a very bright spot that allowed everyone in line to see clearly.
"Hey uncle, which high school did you attend before?" Zhao Yanzi asked, her shoulder touching Hao Ren's.
Her twin tails fluttered slightly, a few strands of hair tickled Hao Ren's neck, making it a bit itchy.
"Shi Bei Number One Middle School." Hao Ren replied to her.
"Alright, got it." Zhao Yanzi lowered her head and continued eating.
Suddenly, she seemed to remember something and said, "Oh, you're pretty accurate with your shots."
"These days, every morning is special. There's a basketball game next week." Hao Ren turned his head to look at her, "Are you coming to watch? It's on Thursday night at 7 o'clock, it won't affect your classes."
"It doesn't affect my classes, so I'm even less interested." Zhao Yanzi's response left Hao Ren speechless.
"Never mind, if I have time, I'll come watch your match." Zhao Yanzi said again, seeing Hao Ren looking a bit disappointed.
"Hmm! On Thursday evening at 7 o'clock, you should be able to find the gym, right?" Hao Ren said.
"What else can't be found? You come pick me up?" Zhao Yanzi slightly pouted, "Since it's your game, I'll bring my parents to watch too."
"So you don't have to do your homework for Thursday anymore?" Hao Ren exposed her once again.
"Hand over!" Zhao Yanzi used her chopsticks to poke Hao Ren's chest.
And this behavior, in the eyes of those students, is undoubtedly a familiar gesture. The boys are envious and jealous, while the girls are surprised. Zhao Yanzi, the "topic person" on campus, is too blatant, daring to bring her boyfriend from another school into the school.
She is a student of Class 2, and in the junior high school department, every year's Class ? and Iodine are also known as the "Learning Focus Class" by the school and the "Commoner Class" by the students. These classes consist of students who have excellent grades but come from ordinary families.
Zhao Yanzi as a student of the "commoner class" has a unique pride, and is also lovely and cute, which makes those self-proclaimed extraordinary boys infatuated.
Hao Ren saw those boys, each with an unkind gaze. He knew they were all pursuers of Zhao Yan, either openly or secretly.
It seems that I, this son-in-law, haven't even been "promoted to the main position" yet, and there are already many competitors. And now high school students and junior high school students have rich nutrition, one by one they all look like they're over 1.7 meters tall
Zhao Yanzi saw that the eyes of those boys were about to spout fire. Not wanting to really cause trouble, she pulled Hao Ren up, "Finished eating, let's go! Bring the lunchbox!"
Hao Ren picked up Zhao Yanzi's gym clothes and slung them over his shoulder, which again triggered the intense jealousy of those boys. Being able to help Zhao Yanzi carry her gym clothes that she had just changed out of meant that he must be her boyfriend!
After walking to the water pool behind the cafeteria, Zhao Yanzi handed her tray over to Hao Ren as well. "The school rules state that we have to wash our own lunchboxes after eating, so I'll leave mine to you!"
Hao Ren saw some students who ate quickly, already washing their dishes by the pool, so he glanced at Zhao Yanzi and put the leftover food into a bucket, washed these two plates.
He looked around at the students, also some junior high school students or senior high school students, going in and out in pairs, with the boys trying to please the girls by helping them wash their lunch plates.
It turned out that this was their middle school tradition. Zhao Yanzi gave me this opportunity, which is equivalent to acknowledging my identity." Hao Ren thought while washing the dishes.
Rinse the two dinner plates clean and put them in another bucket. In fact, they still need to be re-washed and disinfected in the cafeteria. The school has this rule to train students' hands-on skills. Otherwise, these students will become more and more spoiled.
Seeing those boys and girls laughing and leaving the cafeteria's rear door, Hao Ren felt as if he had returned to his "youthful" days, re-experiencing his middle school life.
While Zhao Yanzi is now perfectly portraying the "youthful confusion" he had never experienced before.
At lunchtime, there was a large flow of students near the cafeteria, and occasionally some teachers would pass by. Zhao Yanzi also didn't dare to be too excessive. Only when they were with other students who were talking about romance did they slightly get closer, but they didn't dare hold hands.
However, in this relatively conservative campus, being able to openly walk together and occasionally touch hands is already a very open student couple.
Hao Ren felt a little ticklish when Zhao Yanzi touched him, but he didn't have the guts to suddenly grab her wrist. After all, this was still on someone else's turf, wasn't it?
Moreover, he is Zhao Yanzi's "uncle" in school, holding her hand on campus seems a bit too much.
Zhao Yanzi sent Hao Ren to the school gate, thinking that today's "lover performance" was finally over. However, Zhao Yanzi suddenly said, "Anyway, there's still plenty of time, accompany me to a small shop outside for a stroll!"
Lingzhao Middle School is a semi-boarding middle school. It's not a closed education system. At least at noon, the school gate is still open, and students can go to restaurants outside to eat.
The grand review is open, and Hao Ren blends in with the students and follows them out.
He walked outside and let out a breath of relief, finally leaving someone else's school grounds.
Seeing Zhao Yanzi still walking beside him, Hao Ren simply and domineeringly took her delicate small hand.
Zhao Yanzi turned her head and looked at Hao Ren. She hesitated for a moment, but instead of pulling away, she turned around and pulled Hao Ren to the small shop near the school.
Arriving at a gift shop next to the school, Zhao Yanzi led Hao Ren while selecting small decorations.
"Ah Zi, is this your boyfriend?" A few girls who were also selecting small ornaments walked over and curiously asked Zhao Yanzi.
"Yes." Zhao Yanzi admitted their conjecture without hesitation.
The girls took the opportunity to size up Hao Ren. Their eyes moved from Hao Ren's face to his figure, and finally landed on the palm of Zhao Yanzi's hand that he was holding.
"What grade are you in? You're not from our school, right?" Another girl asked Zhao Yanzi.
"High school sophomore, Municipal No. 1 High School!" Zhao Yanzi said.
Hao Ren only now understood why Zhao Yanzi had asked him what high school he was from earlier. However, demoting a sophomore to a high school sophomore was a bit too much, wasn't it?
The girls looked at Hao Ren again and saw that he was blushing but not saying a word, so they teased him by saying, "Your boyfriend is quite handsome!"
They didn't know that Hao Ren's shyness wasn't because he was with his "girlfriend", but because Zhao Yanzi directly demoted him to a sophomore, telling such lies. Still not embarrassed! Impressive!
"He's just pretending to be gentle! Normally when he's with me, he's very fierce!" Zhao Yanzi said to them.
Hao Ren felt helpless in his heart, grasped Zhao Yanzi's palm tightly, and slightly pinched it to prevent her from continuing to talk nonsense.
"It feels quite literary, should be a top student, didn't expect Ah Zi to like this type!" Another girl continued.
"Yes, he looks like a good older brother!" The other girls also echoed in agreement.
Good brother? Haoge "You guys really guessed it. Looking at these chattering girls, Hao Ren thought to himself.
"Alright, stop talking nonsense! He's new here, I'll show him around!" Zhao Yanzi waved her hand and shooed them away. In fact, she was eager for these girls to go back and spread the rumors, to get the word out.
She swung her neat double braids and walked further into the small shop. When she came to the mobile phone accessories section, she let go of Hao Ren and carefully selected some items.
"Which one looks better, this or this?" In the end, she picked up two crystal pendants of different styles and dangled them in front of Hao Ren.
"The one on the left is more suitable for your style." Hao Ren gave his own reference opinion.
"Alright, this one it is!" Zhao Yan Zi happily picked up the necklace and walked towards the entrance of the store with Hao Ren.
As she walked to the entrance where you pay, she suddenly stopped moving.
Hao Ren was stunned for a few seconds before he saw her gaze and realized she was waiting for him to pay.
You're really going to make me pay for this? Hao Ren pulled out his wallet. Pay with the money from this small chain.
Walking out of the small shop, it's sunny again.
"Alright, your mission is complete, you can go back now."
Zhaoyan Zi pulled her tracksuit back from Hao Ren's shoulder and waved at him.
Seeing Hao Ren's expression slightly dissatisfied, Zhao Yan Zhi curled up her lips, "It was you who bumped into me yourself, and it wasn't like I wanted to take advantage of you."
Hao Ren looked at her and thought for a moment, "I've been so good. Don't I deserve some kind of reward?"
"Reward?" Zhao Yanzi raised a pair of bright eyes, "What reward do you want?"
"For example," Hao Ren winked, "something better than holding hands."
Zhao Yanzi curled up her mouth and looked at Hao Ren with a disdainful gaze, "It's just a kiss, what's the big deal?"
"Hao Ren didn't expect that now middle school little beauties would be so unrestrained. He just wanted to tease her a bit."
Zhao Yanzi slapped his hand towards Hao Ren, "Close your eyes!"
"Never mind, I was just kidding! I'm going back!" Hao Ren was a bit scared and turned around to leave.
Zhao Yanzi grabbed his hand, "Close your eyes!"
Is there still someone who forces a shot? The students around here are coming and going
"Close your eyes!" Zhao Yanzi urged again, pinching Hao Ren's arm hard, causing him to frown in pain.
Hao Ren had no choice but to turn his back on the crowd and close his eyes.
He felt Zhao Yanzi's hands on his shoulders from the front, and her light breathing slowly approached his neck.
"Don't open your eyes!" Zhao Yanzi added.
Hao Ren coughed slightly and put on a serious face, no matter if it was light or heavy, just once would be fine.
Feeling Zhao Yanzi's fingers fiddling with his collar, Hao Ren had closed his eyes for half a minute before he couldn't help but ask, "Are you done yet?"
"Damn it! Can't you see I'm not in a hurry?!" Zhao Yanzi cursed.
Hao Ren coughed twice again and stood there awkwardly.
"Alright!" Zhao Yanzi suddenly said after a while.
"Alright?" Hao Ren looked somewhat puzzled.
Seeing Hao Ren's bewildered expression, Zhao Yanzi glared at him, "What did you think I was going to do?!"
"I thought you were going to"
Before Hao Ren could say anything, Zhao Yanzi's small fist landed on his mouth.
Of course, this fist was not heavy, on the contrary, it was a bit soft, and Hao Ren almost instinctively opened his mouth to bite it.
Zhao Yanzi withdrew his fist, his face slightly red. "I've added a small pendant to the necklace for you. This was given to me by my dad before, and wearing it can increase your cultivation speed. Anyway, I don't need it anymore, so I'll give it to you."
Hao Ren looked down and found that on the necklace Su Huan had originally given him, a small water droplet-shaped amber about the size of a thumb was added to his neck.
