The Dragon Isle was in a worse condition than Issac could have even imagined. No mineral resources, no quarriable stone, no suitable trees for lumber. The vegetation had been devastated in a huge storm only a few years ago and was still recovering. Housing, industry, and other infrastructure was destroyed in the same storm, and is barely operable. No major wildlife except for the fish in the sea. Not to mention the pirates and 'privateers' hired by the family to pressure Issac even more. Worst of all, the people of the island had a beaten, defeated attitude.
