That fateful day on the battlefield

The smell of iron or blood I don't know anymore, the battle field warped my world view.Bodies fell like rain drops on a rainy day and screams pleged my nightmare. My family and friends back at home are the only thing that prevents me from killing my self if only I listened and didn't sign-up.Politicians stared this war for land and riches but no one signs up in there family, guess I know why now. Every two-three months new recruits show up I'm in charge of teaching then the way of the camp, what a glorious job (it sucks) but it's what I get for living that's the only reason I'm this high rank if I live for 5 more month's I get a noble title.A new recruit catches my eye a young nobleman can't be older then 23 why was he here in this hell.

The nobleman had nice clothes but was dirty not like other smug nobles that would not take one step outside without a slave. This man did not have a scared look in his face it shines of life like he was excited to be here in hell I thought what the hell is wrong with him. "Get in line" I yell which the promptly do and I look into all of there eyes most look dead some look scared and only his looks excited it's like he has a purpose I think but I then get them sorted from tallest to shortest and grab there personal files. Jack 22 is the first thing I see I was right about his age I think and I see it says he is a noble duke second son I am surprised what the hell is someone like that doing here in hell instead of with his family stuffing his face
