Chapter 12: When a group of military men face a group of women
"Caesar! I need a love saint!" This is the solemn request I made to Cheap Dad after careful consideration on my way home.
The old man was not surprised at all, he smiled and said, "I'm not."
"Your friend, subordinate, ally, there must be one of them, right?" I asked.
"Sorry, kid," said the old man with a strange expression. "That kind of person is not within my selection range for friends or subordinates. However, didn't your teacher Provadas teach you about that sort of thing?"
What's with that old thing? What's with that loser?
"Alexander interjected in surprise: 'He's actually a romantic?' "
"Let's get on with it first, I think this is very likely to be the strategy used by General Provadas!" I muttered irritably.
Cheap old man smiled with a lewd smile, and said while shaking the wine glass in his hand: "Kid, don't you think this is efficient?"
Shall we get on with it first? A tempting scene that might appear in a Japanese doujinshi manga floated into my mind, and this seemed like a pretty good idea too. After all, there probably wasn't anything I could do inside Constantinople that would be more profitable than assassinating the Emperor.
"Caesar... You're actually... inciting me, a minor... to rape a widow!" I quickly dispelled the thought, it was too terrifying, I had actually felt stirred just now!
Cheap old man smiled and shook his finger: "I just gave a most practical and effective plan from the perspective of a third party."
"It seems you're also aware that I had a hard time marrying that wife!" I muttered, swallowing a mouthful of mutton.
Alexander asked at this time: "Caesar, I want you to ask Anigilos, the executive minister of the Imperial General Affairs Department, how much it will cost to flatten Dion and build a large artillery platform with an area of 1000 square meters on top."
"Flattening Dionisio to rebuild a fort wouldn't cost much, but there are many estates of the powerful in that area. Nearby is also the University District and the Teatro de los Insurgentes. What do you want to do?"
In the cheap old man's meaningful gaze, Alexander said: "Just want to let Caesar scare the girls in Constantinople for us."
"Oh... just scaring them, huh?" Cheap Father looked like he was very interested in what we were secretly doing. He smiled mysteriously and said, "This is no problem. As long as you know what you're doing."
We are of course clear about what we are doing ourselves but we are not quite so clear what this Caesar of the Roman Empire is doing in Augusta Square.
Two days later, which was two days earlier than the blind date with that brother.
The usual place, Mnemosyne's coffee shop in Dionysus district.
Over a hundred noble ladies who were dressed up elaborately but had fierce and murderous glints in their eyes collectively appeared at this place.
My brother and I, along with Maurice, the matchmaker's brother, and more than thirty other invited guests were suddenly stunned by these charming ladies.
The entire hall was filled with the fragrance of lovely girls, and it's as if any normal male who stepped into this paradise-like place would reveal a flattering and infatuated expression.
"We seem to have been caught off guard!" Valens muttered, his face looking a bit unsightly and twisted, as if he had just been trampled by a herd of 10,000 wild mud horses... I dare bet that in this lifetime, he has never seen so many beautiful female creatures crowded together in one place.
"There's a traitor!!" Maurice glared fiercely at the man who had been brought over by his parents for matchmaking, and the latter almost burst into tears upon hearing this low growl.
"We are outnumbered, our side was caught off guard by the sudden attack and now morale is low. If we don't think of a way to turn things around, the situation will be dire!" Konstantin concluded with a bitter expression, swallowing hard.
Alexander was very calm, but I saw his eyebrows raised slightly, he was very dissatisfied with the performance of the people around him: "What to do?"
The ball was kicked here, and with a glance, the ferocious eyes of those ladies who hid their faces behind small fans were astonishing! What's to compare? The resentment of us five people who traversed thousands of years in time and reunited in 1718, only to meet a tragic end halfway through our careers, is greater than any resentment.
Look back!
I was very satisfied with the evasive eyes of those little girls. I beckoned to the security guard who had followed us over, and asked them to bring over a table. Having done all this, the attention of the people opposite was also drawn over.
"Everyone! Draw your swords!!!"
Is anyone paying attention to me?
Forget it!
With a swoosh, the sword was drawn out of its scabbard. Under the sunlight, the meticulously maintained weapon sparkled brightly, reflecting my own image on its surface. The only sound I could hear was the continuous clanging noise coming from nearby! We've unsheathed our swords!
Across from me, the murderous aura of those noble ladies instantly vanished! Their small faces turned white as a sheet in the midst of clashing swords. Next thing I knew, Maurice took a huge stride forward, laughing maniacally like a lunatic who had just escaped from an asylum.
Whoa, brother, what are you doing? Did I tell you to rush in and play hero?
"Hurry up and put down your weapons on this table, then go inside one by one."
"Huh?" Morris stood there in stunned silence.
Everyone looked at me, then at others, and finally they all looked at Alexander together.
Rapier, arquebus, gun brush, gunpowder, bullets, these things that are usually prepared for self-defense were all taken out one by one. Just when we thought Alexander had disarmed himself, he pulled out two daggers of different sizes from his chest and sleeve.
Alexander glanced at the plump and slender girls inside, gave me a deep look, and walked in with his legs raised. In no time, a table was filled with our personal belongings, huh? I actually saw a handheld grenade here! What the hell, who brought this?! After putting away my pistol and sword, I looked at those noble ladies again, they were already black-lined on their foreheads and slightly distorted in their faces.
Coughing... I put away the hand grenade and walked through our personnel standing at attention in two rows, came to Alexander's side, took another step forward, grinned, showing a smile that I thought was very kind: "Ladies, as you can see, we have already disarmed ourselves. Now it's your turn to show your sincerity. Show your negotiating sincerity!"
After that, I cracked a cold smile, we often did this when we were fighting in military school. Across from us, the noble ladies either had twitching eyes or dull expressions, plus vacant stares. Because, they seemed to have nothing else to take off except for those beautiful and expensive clothes.
The silence lasted for several minutes, just as we thought they would remain silent forever, a blood-curdling scream pierced the air!
"You're bullying people!!!"
"Waaaahhhh!!! Not like this!!! Mommy!!!"
As I stood there with my eyes wide open, a young girl burst into tears and broke away from their group!
Is it just like this and then you're going to cry?
Stunned, shocked, amazed, and utterly incredulous! I turned my head calmly to ask others, but...
"Oh!!!!!! Actually managed to scare off an enemy! Truly a miracle of art!" This was Valens' low, frenzied, and ear-piercing cry.
Constantine muttered to himself in a low voice: "One man escapes, the enemy is completely depressed, our morale is high! Nikephoros is really a genius!"
Alexander smiled lightly and said nothing.
Maurice felt my gaze, his eyes burning hot, staring intently at the knives and swords under the hand grenade, eager to move, his tongue dry: "Is this the time to pursue a victory?"
The corner of my eye twitched, ...this good-for-nothing who is afraid that the world is not chaotic and has no sympathy, looked at those red-eyed noble girls again, I was speechless for a moment...it seemed like what I just said was just the beginning...
In less than an hour, the majestic Constantinople noble girls' team was utterly defeated, and the last girl slammed the door and ran out, her crying voice fading away.
"They're too weak." Valens snorted in disdain.
Maurice nodded in agreement: "Exactly, let's win some glory for once."
Excluding the two bear children who are destined to be lonely for life, others still have normal human thinking. Many people hung their heads and shied away with their eyes, like naughty kids who had done something wrong, their will somewhat depressed. It seems that the collective tears of beautiful girls had a significant impact on these hormone-surging males.
"Alright, everyone knows what we really want to do." Alexander said with a light tone, facing the sea of high-ranking red skull soldiers, "As for Maurice thinking that the enemy is too weak, don't worry, slowly but surely there will be opponents of the same level, and when that time comes, let's not get beaten too badly."
What Alexander meant by "opponents of the same level" refers to nobles of the same age. It's not hard to imagine how many righteous young men would be outraged when those ladies cry out our sins with their lovely little faces tilted up like pear flowers in the rain. As for this phenomenon that is not difficult to guess, I have told everyone, but they all basically disdain it, so, defeat all the challengers, this is what we will do next.
