A light shines brightly, so brightly that there is nothing to see but its burning splendor, and even as it burns your eyes, you cant stop looking… Sirens wail in the distance, not coming closer but not getting any farther away either. “I wonder, is that just my imagination… Do the sirens cry, or is it just my conscience that is crying? Hahah..” He coughs, with it comes blood, staining the bright light. Like blood stains his soul. A black silhouette limps into the light, slowly, arduously, he takes each step looking like its his last. Slowly he gets farther away. As if time stops, he keeps limping, farther and farther. As if in a split second, he’s gone so far his figure is nothing but a speck to the white light. Keeling over, he coughs, blood sprays, staining the world with a bloody rain. ‘Let this be my final resting place’ He smiles as this last thought covers him, like a hug from his mother, he closes his eyes. In her embrace, he was brought into this world, and in her embrace, he left.
