Chapter 2: Nosebleed
"Son, you're really great, mom believes in you, there's still more to eat in the pot." After finishing, she personally filled a bowl of soup for the boy. The woman looked at the boy with affection and smiled, her eyes welling up with tears. In her heart, she thought: Son has really grown up, this child has suffered so much. Thinking of this, her heart ached again.
"Mom, I'm full, I'll go back to my room to review, the college entrance exam is in a month." After finishing speaking, he hurriedly ran back to his room.
"You child, you're full after eating just that little. Don't stay up so late at night, moderate study is fine." The woman said with concern.
"I know. I'll review and then sleep." After finishing speaking, the boy arranged his stool and prepared the subjects he needed to review.
The boy has been picking up trash cans and selling vegetables with the woman since he was born. The two people depend on each other for survival, fortunately, Wang's mother is kind and gave them a simple house. Time flies, the boy has been here for eighteen years, learning relies on that old stool, don't know how many springs and autumns it accompanied him.
The boy looked at the subjects he needed to review, shook his head in dismay. No matter how hard he tried to memorize English vocabulary, those words were like strangers that he just couldn't get familiar with. His exam scores were always around 30 or 40 marks. Looking at math on the side made him even more frustrated, things like quadratic functions, sets and logarithms made his head spin, it was just something he couldn't learn.
The boy looked at the time and shook his head helplessly. He had spent an evening memorizing a few words, but still couldn't get them down pat, and he had struggled with two or three math problems that he just couldn't solve. Before he knew it, the night had slipped away to 12 o'clock. The boy could only let out a helpless sigh, his tired eyes heavy as he fell into a deep sleep.
In the early morning, the woman got up early, cooked something for her son to eat, and then rode a tricycle to the vegetable market. Today she felt that her son was not quite the same as usual. Every time she woke up, her son would get up to help her tidy up the dishes on the car, but today the sun had almost risen, why wasn't he awake yet? The woman wondered in her heart.
"Get up, Pong Er, or you'll be late!" The woman urged. Then she arranged the vegetables to be sold on the cart.
The boy, in a daze, heard his mother's cry and suddenly jumped out of bed. When he felt something was wrong, his body hurt so much that he broke out in cold sweat. He involuntarily took a deep breath to calm himself down and prevent himself from crying out. In his heart, he vowed fiercely, "Lin Shangren, you will definitely regret this! If I don't take revenge, my name is not Chen Pengpeng!"
Hearing her mother's shout, she quickly finished washing up, hastily drank a bowl of thin porridge, and grabbed her textbook to rush out the door.
"Mom, I'm running late, I won't help you push the cart to the vegetable market today." He said while running and turning his head back to the woman.
"You child, don't be so flustered, you'll trip and fall again in a moment." The woman said with concern. She shook her head impatiently and began to rearrange the vegetables she was selling once more.
All the way, Chen Peng ran non-stop until he reached the school gate, where he was already drenched in sweat. The guard at the door pointed to the clock as soon as he saw him. Before he could catch his breath, he saw that there was still one minute left on the clock on the wall and rushed to his classroom again.
When he ran to the classroom door panting, the bell had just rung. Just as he was about to step in, he saw his class teacher, Jiang Rou, staring at him with her beautiful eyes. Chen Pengpeng only then realized that he was done for.
A handsome man sitting in the class was gloating at Chen Pengpeng with a sly smile on his face. The person was none other than Lin Shangren, the mastermind who had called a group of thugs to beat Chen Pengpeng up last night, leaving him covered in injuries.
Chen Pengpeng inadvertently met Lin Shangren's gaze, and Lin Shangren glared at him fiercely. The implication was a warning: "Dare to move my woman, you know the consequences, be smarter next time!" Chen Pengpeng ignored his gaze and was about to return to his own seat when...
"Chen Peng, come to my office for a minute after class! Alright, you can go back to your seat now." Class teacher Jiang Rou called out to him. After finishing speaking, she turned back to that slender figure, her slender hands flipping through the English textbook. A standard "S"-shaped curve.
"Alright, classmates. Today we're going to learn about the usage of preposing objects." A sweet and melodious voice caused every cell in the audience to relax. The beautiful teacher's influence was indeed great, as all the male students below were entranced by her heavenly voice, unable to extricate themselves. Modern beauties are truly harmful, aren't they? Chen Pengpeng sighed sincerely.
Chen Pengpeng stared at the beautiful female teacher on stage, talking incessantly about the lesson, his gaze fixed on her chest. A wave of heat hit his brain, his face turned bright red, and he couldn't stop swallowing saliva as a torrent of dirty thoughts flooded his mind.
