Chapter 29: Initial Completion

Volume 2: Mysterious School Doctor Chapter 29: Initial Success

The earliest cultural origin of Huaxia is derived from Taoism, which is native to the land and can be considered a native religion of Huaxia. The influence of Taoism on Huaxia culture has been long-standing, and if we must count it, Xuanmen can also be counted as Daomen.

The name "Mystery" first appeared in Laozi's Tao Te Ching, which says: The Tao that can be told is not the eternal Tao; the name that can be named is not the eternal name. The Nameless is the origin of heaven and earth. The Named is the mother of all things. Therefore, always desire to observe its wonders without desires; always have desires to observe its boundaries. These two come from the same source but differ in name. The Mystery of Mysteries is the door to all wonders.

From then on, there was the name of Xuanmen. In fact, it is also Daoism. The education of Daoism to all beings, apart from various legends, naturally also has various means. The five techniques of Xuanmen are mountain, medicine, fate, physiognomy and divination, which are also the methods of Daoism.

The Taoist emphasizes the resonance between heaven and man, the oneness of heaven and man, the naturalness of all things, and the governance without action. It follows the most primitive law of nature, and the so-called mysterious door technique is actually also a response to heaven and earth, and an intuition of nature.

The true cultivation, Ning Yuan didn't know, but his own practice of the mysterious method was just like this, emphasizing the comprehension of heaven and earth, cultivating the spirit, the spirit merging with heaven and earth, comprehending the natural law, and thus borrowing from the natural law. Whether it's Feng Shui or divination, it all boils down to one word - borrow.

The word "borrow" is a very interesting word in Chinese culture, everything can be borrowed, borrowing money, power, soldiers, momentum, people's hearts, the world, and even heaven and earth for one's own use.

It's called borrowing, but in plain language, it's taking advantage of loopholes. Of course, here it's actually taking advantage of the loopholes of nature. Rules, whether man-made or heaven-sent, all have patterns to follow and can't help but reveal a thread of weakness.

The Taoist says: The Great Way is fifty, heaven spreads forty-nine, man hides one, and everything has a thread of life. This is exactly the same principle, in the thinking of Taoism, nothing is absolute, human beings can conquer nature.

The principle is similar to Tian Xing Jian, Junzi Zi Qiang Bu Xi, both of which teach people to be strong and never give up, holding hope for the future.

Buddhism emphasizes reincarnation, while Taoism focuses on this life, without seeking cause and effect, teaching people to be self-reliant and strive tirelessly.

Nature has its own laws, and where there are laws, there are loopholes. The Taoist arts are all about finding these tiny loopholes and using them to our advantage by borrowing from the natural order of things. However, in order to borrow from this natural order, one must first understand and appreciate the underlying rules that govern nature. It's just like being a lawyer who wants to find loopholes in the law - you have to be thoroughly familiar with the law itself.

However, the laws of nature are not like man-made ones, and they change at any time, leaving no trace to be found. To grasp its trajectory, sometimes it's not just about intuition, but also luck, which is also the reason why Zhengyuanmen's secret skills are difficult to learn.

The secret method of entry is the same as the method of warming up the instrument. Whether it's a killing instrument or a treasure instrument, to warm it up as an instrument, you must first merge and communicate with the object.

The object that can become a magic tool, either gathers good fortune or evil energy. No matter which one it is, it's not an ordinary object. Only when fully mastered can it be used as a magic tool; otherwise, before harming the enemy, you'll harm yourself first, and that would be the Seven Injuries Fist. (The above explanations are just interpretations of the mysterious methods in this book. Although there's some exaggeration, after all, it's still within the world of this book, so I need to provide a reasonable explanation.)

At this moment, Ningyuan had to use his own blood as a guide, draw talismans on the Blood Qilin, build a bridge between him and the Blood Qilin, and then slowly nourish it.

This method is different from the blood recognition in Xian Xia, it's not that a drop of blood falls on this thing and then you have a spiritual connection with it.

Using one's own blood as a guide, drawing talismans and charms is just the first step. This is like coaxing a child with candy, you must first offer them a lollipop, but that doesn't mean they'll follow you just because they ate your candy. To truly move someone, you must put in effort to touch their heart.

The method of warming up is the same, and drawing talismans is not a simple task, nor can it be successful in one go. Some children don't like lollipops, so you won't succeed.

At this time, Ningyuan sat cross-legged on the straw mat, concentrating his mind and spirit, carefully drawing on the Blood Qilin with his fingers. At the same time, his spiritual consciousness was infused into his own blood, only to see that the originally bright red Blood Qilin had become even more eerie, with a power that seemed to capture people's souls.

Ning Yu drew for a full half hour, the faint red glow on the Blood Qilin suddenly became dazzling, as if a small universe had burst forth in an instant. However, this lasted only for a brief moment, like a fleeting glimpse of a meteor, and then the light dissipated, taking with it the original faint red haze that had disappeared without a trace.

As the light converged, the cold and eerie aura that had been floating in the room was instantly absorbed by the Blood Qilin. The Blood Qilin, which had originally looked strange and unusual, now seemed completely ordinary, no longer having that eerie and heart-pounding quality, and became a common blood jade carving of a Blood Qilin.

At this time, Ningyuan finally let out a deep breath, stood up, and wiped the sweat from his forehead. After several attempts, this first step was finally accomplished. The Blood Qilin's killing aura was retracted and would no longer actively attack people on its own. As long as Ningyuan, the half-owner, did not provoke it, anyone could touch it without being affected by the killing aura.

Put the blood qilin randomly on the eight immortal table in front of the old Taoist's portrait, Ningyuan first went to the bathroom to take a shower, changed into a set of clothes, then came out and tore off the surrounding talismans, only then picked up the blood qilin and entered the bedroom, putting the blood qilin on the headboard and leaning against the pillow to sleep.

The method of tempering the artifact requires time to communicate, and this kind of spiritual artifact cannot be used like an ordinary sword, which can be picked up at will.

Uh, actually it's the same, even with ordinary swords, there's a saying that goes "it feels right in the hand" or not. The longer you use it, the more familiar you become, and the more comfortable it is to use, naturally, magical tools are no exception.

At this time, the Blood Qilin was actually already half a magic weapon for Ning Yuan. It could be used to attack, but it would take some time to grind and bring out its greatest power.

The best way to get along with a magical tool is to carry it with you at all times. On the one hand, you become familiar with its characteristics, and on the other hand, it becomes familiar with yours. To put it bluntly, it's similar to raising a watchdog - once you've fed it and it's familiar with you, it won't bite you.

This night was absolutely not a good one for Ning Yuan, the first night of warming up the artifact, and also the first close contact between the master and the artifact. Even though the evil energy had been completely retracted and would not harm others, it was still an absolute nightmare for Ning Yuan as the master.

Not long after falling asleep, Ningyuan saw a Qilin beast bathed in blood light approaching him, roaring towards him with a thunderous voice that shook the sky. When he opened his eyes at dawn, he still felt a buzzing sound in his ears.

He glanced at the time on his side and found that it was already 7 o'clock in the morning. Ning Yuan yawned, got out of bed to wash his face and brush his teeth. His two eyes stared at the heavy black eye circles, which were obviously a sign of lack of sleep. Last night, he had heard the Qilin's call, a treatment that was absolutely not available to ordinary people.

After washing and dressing, Ningyuan changed into a new set of clothes, casually putting the Blood Qilin into his pocket. He went out to buy some fried dough sticks and soy milk, eating while walking towards school. Since he got up late today, he didn't have time to go to the park for martial arts practice anymore.

Arriving at the duty room, it was already past 4 o'clock. Qi Ruizhe and Liu Siyu had begun their shift handover. Cheng Puming was sitting behind his desk drinking tea. Seeing Ning Yuan come in, he hastily stood up and smiled as he greeted: "Doctor Ning has arrived?"

"Here." Ning Yuan nodded to Cheng Pu Ming and casually asked: "How was it? Not busy last night?"

"Not busy, not busy, I slept in the infirmary all night." Cheng Puming chuckled and suddenly picked up a piece of paper beside him: "Did Doctor Ning write a prescription for someone last night?"

"Uh, while strolling around, I met a girl from the sophomore campus who was frightened and prescribed a calming prescription." Ning Yuan nodded and asked in surprise: "What's wrong with the prescription?"

"There's no problem." Cheng Puming smiled and said, "I just didn't expect that Dr. Ning, being so young, would have such good handwriting. I spent a long time looking at this prescription before I could recognize it."

Ning Yuan suddenly broke out in a cold sweat, only then remembering that he hadn't paid attention when writing the prescription last night and had subconsciously used the crazy script again...

PS: Some people say that the explanations in the book are too much, affecting the plot. I'm speechless. The explanations in the book are the flesh and blood of it. Without these things, the plot would be very monotonous and dull. Although everyone reads books for fun, some things also need to be understood. Mysterious cultures are also interesting things.
