Chapter 9: The Rise of Men

Chapter 9: The Rise of Men

The two young men from the Han family are reasonable and logical in what they say, but they are much more difficult to deal with than the two old people from their household.

Ma Baoquan's mouth twitched twice, his eyes flickered twice, and he forced a smile: "Look at you, kid! What are you talking about? How is this bullying? This is really the rule from above. Alright, tell me what compensation you want, I'll apply for it!"

"A new housing site!" Han Yu said in a soft voice.

"No problem, we'll let out three or four rooms on the foundation of the village committee for your family!" Ma Baoquan said generously.

  "One million in compensation!"

Ma Baoquan's smile on his face suddenly stiffened into a ball, his eyes slightly bulged outward, and he stuttered: "One million?"

"One hundred thousand! If you're one cent short, you can't even demolish this house!" Han Yu said with a sunny smile on his face.

"Second little one, are you kidding me and your second uncle? 100,000, how much did it cost to build a house for your family?"

Ma Baoquan got angry, he glared at Han Yu for a moment, then turned his head to look at his grandfather: "Brother Han, let me tell you, this time it's his son who wants to come to our village to invest in building a factory. This is agreed by the township! The land of your family is planned for the factory, and this house must be demolished!"

"Must be demolished, whether or not it must be demolished? The toad is eating the sky, what a big tone!" Han Yu's face still had a smile on it, but his eyes flashed with cold light.

"Ah..." Ma Baoquan's whole body began to tremble, his face turned pale and white by turns, he suddenly retreated a step back, and shouted: "Take it down for me!"

The few people standing under the excavator immediately sprang into action, some got on the cab, and the rest tried to get up to stop Han's family.

Mrs. Han moved forward to block the bulldozer, but Han Yu stopped her and she dodged out of the way just in time.

Grandpa Han had just taken two steps with the iron ladle when Han Yu had already jumped onto Changhe's car. With a quick kick, a big man's head was heavily knocked against the rear cover of Changhe's car.

Han Yu's body suddenly flipped over, and with a reverse elbow strike, he smashed into the abdomen of a large man. The big man couldn't withstand the force, stumbled backward one step, and sat down on the ground with a thud.

Han Yu's body lightly touched the pedal of the excavator, and he suddenly appeared beside the driver's cab. The driver, who had just started the machine, felt a sudden darkness beside him, turned his head to see Han Yu, and was shocked with wide eyes.

Han Yu Ke didn't give him time to react, reaching out to grab his neck and with a slight exertion of force, threw him out of the driver's cabin, thudding onto the ground.

The new house of the Han family was nearly one meter higher than the ground, and the big man had just arrived at the front steps when he heard a commotion behind him. He hastily turned his head around, only to discover that all three of his companions were lying on the ground. In an instant, four people were left with only him remaining.

He shuddered in his heart and hadn't had time to run, when Grandpa Han swung the iron shovel behind him and slapped it on his back.

He let out a low grunt and stumbled forward a few steps before falling heavily to the ground beside Ma Bao.

From Ma Baoquan's order to dismantle, to four people being knocked down, it was just a matter of a few breaths.

The onlookers who were watching the commotion didn't even see how Han Yu made his move, they just saw him suddenly rising and falling, like in a movie, and the three big men fell to the ground, their eyes wide with shock, and for a moment, they all fell silent.

Han Yu's grandfather and grandmother were also looking at him in surprise, Grandma Han smiled like a flower, full of pride.

Grandpa Han furrowed his brow with some worry, and Han Yu walked to his side: "Grandfather, are you okay?"

"Grandpa Han sighed and said: 'You are a soldier, you shouldn't hit people!'"

"What's there to be afraid of? Let them come and arrest me if they dare! I'll go to prison for my grandson!" Granny Han snorted.

Grandpa Han glared at him: "Nonsense! If I catch you, who can you fight?"

He took a deep breath, looked at Han Yu, and said in a soft but firm tone: "You leave now, go back to the troops! Anyway, I've taken a photo, with me here, they're afraid of making things big, so they shouldn't bother you at the troops!"

"Grandma Han said in a trembling voice: "My grandson didn't break any laws, why should he run? Besides, our house..."

"The house is gone, it can be rebuilt!" Grandpa Han coldly swept a glance at his wife, lightly swept a glance at Han Yu, and said calmly: "Do well in the army, don't worry about home! As long as your grandfather's old bones are still here, our family's sky won't fall!"

Han Yu pursed his lips, and his nose suddenly felt sour and a bit hard to breathe. He quietly looked at the old man in front of him, his grandfather.

His face was deeply wrinkled, as if carved by a knife. He wasn't tall to begin with, and the weight of years had also made his back slightly hunched.

But he still stands upright, like a green pine, striving to shelter this family from wind and rain.

His gaze was calm, but it conveyed an inexpressible kindness and a hint of hidden worry.

That's his grandfather, an old man who would unconditionally sacrifice everything as long as he could live a good life!

A person who is still worried about him until now, but has never thought of himself!

If I can't even protect someone like her, what kind of man am I?

Han Yu suddenly roared in his heart and questioned himself.

He said something in a low voice that only the two of them could hear, and Grandpa Han was taken aback, looking at him suspiciously.

Han Yu nodded firmly, stretched out his hand and said softly: "I've grown up. Grandpa, from now on, let me handle the life-and-death matters of our family!"

Grandpa Han looked at him quietly, and his eyes even showed a glimmer. He handed the iron ladle to him, and heavily nodded his head with his white beard.

Han Yu carefully took over the iron ladle and suddenly turned around and swung it out.

The iron spade brought a whistling sound, turned into a cold light and was inserted under Ma Baoquan's foot, the spade handle emitted a humming vibration!

Ma Baoquan's face turned pale and his body began shaking again, but this time it was out of fear.

"Ladies and gentlemen, elders and uncles, the village forcibly demolished houses, taking action first. Han Yu defended his family's property, acting in self-defense afterwards. I hope that when necessary, you can speak up for the Han family with justice!"

As he spoke, Han Yu walked up to Ma Baoquan's front. The four men who had been beaten earlier had already gotten up and quickly retreated a few steps back when they saw him approaching.

Han Yu didn't even glance at them, he knew these people were just farmers who followed orders, so they didn't use much force. Although the four of them had bruises all over their faces and looked quite intimidating.

"As long as there are still men in the Han family, they will never be bullied or oppressed!" Han Yu quietly stared at Ma Baoquan.

Ma Baoquan's mouth twitched, he tried hard to squeeze out a smile, wanting to ease the atmosphere that made his mouth dry and tongue-tied, but didn't know that this smile of his was even uglier than crying!

"You can fight, but you also cannot go against the government..."

Han Yu burst out laughing, his smile full of disdain and mockery. He reached out to help Ma Baoquan tidy up his somewhat disheveled clothes, saying softly: "Can you represent the government? Or is it that son of yours?"

"I know this has nothing to do with the village. Isn't it just his son who wants this land? Alright, let him come find me himself! As long as you don't take sides, you're still my second uncle!"

"Of course, if you want to be a good village head, I have nothing to say!"

Ma Baoquan's whole body trembled slightly, and a chill rose from the bottom of his heart.

He stared blankly at Han Yu, who was quietly adjusting his clothes with a calm expression, and slowly closed his eyes.

When he opened his eyes again, a smile appeared at the corner of his mouth. He said softly: "After the house is done, come home for dinner! It's only been two years since we last met, and you've grown up so much, Second Master wants to have a good chat with you!"

Han Yu's mouth curled up into a faint smile, he took a step back and nodded: "Alright!"

After finishing speaking, he pulled out the iron shovel and turned around to walk towards his new house.

Ma Baoquan looked at his back and felt a strange feeling in his heart, as if he had seen the rise of a man, step by step to the peak!

He smiled at the corner of his mouth and shouted, "Leave." The machine roared, and the noisy demolition team retreated with a rumble.

The onlookers who had gathered to watch the commotion also dispersed, but in their hearts, they were all suppressing a thrill of excitement.

Unexpectedly, the second son of the Han family became so capable after serving in the army for two years!

They were even more curious about what Han Yu had said to the village chief that made him leave so smoothly.

They have a feeling that this young man named Han Yu will become another capable person in the village after his son!

What's most important is they know the matter of Han's house isn't over yet because his son hasn't appeared!

The encounter between the two strong men in the village is definitely worth looking forward to!

  It's still free...
