Golden Era- Prolouge
With a heavy echo the wall dented.
BOOM.BOOM
With bone crushing bangs, the dents expanded.
A soldier by the name of Ronny Kerr couldn't help but suddenly realize if the wall fell now then all those under it would meet an untimely end.
He looked around, surely someone would object right. Surely the commanders had to see what was happening and would jump in to drive the order any second now. Push for a retreat , save the lives of the dying soldiers . Surely....
.....They had to know this would happen before they sent them. They were sending them to death and they knew it. Why? Ronny Kerr pondered the matter with sweat pouring from his brow and sticking his helmet to his head. Still, he couldn't figure it out. He resigned himself then, to his fate. To join the parts of history that don't get glanced at much in the textbook.
The battle where the heroes lost a valiant battle while holding the wall.
It wouldn't say they were sent to die there. It wouldn't tell of Ronny Kerr. He looked to the left after hearing a sniffle. A young lad was crying. His helmet seemed too big for his head and his boots seemed too big for his feet, but nonetheless he stood as firm as he could make himself.
Courageous, but not enough to be able to stop the tears.
He would die here today, along with Ronny Kerr and everyone here.
Why ?
Why did there have to be
WAR
The wall caved in with a phenomenal explosion. Solid heat melted out a hole in the center. Jagged ice pierced through in several spears with the thickness of a well fed man. Chunks fell away into melted goo at the feet of a human slime. A gargantuan section simply turned to ash as a dark haunting shadow armed with scepter rose from somewhere unseen.
The rest of the wall gave way to stampede and as it did the sound of hope was lost. Then the call of the Ogre began.
WE ARE THE BEAST. WE ARE THE BEAST.
OUR MIND IS OF A SIZE THAT ONLY THE GODS WOULD DECREE.
IF YOU DONT WANT TO END UP IN MY BELLY AS MY FEAST.

FALL UPON YOUR KNEES. FALL UPON YOUR KNEES.
IN THE NAME OF THE ONE WHO COMMANDS ME FROM THE EAST.
DO YOU DARE DEFY THE BEAST.
And so the battle began. Lightning flashed from the sky cindering the giant ogres where they stood. Giant metal disc ripped through the air and severed the heads off a pack of flying imps.
The air appeared thick with a blue haze before ripping into an explosion that disintegrated tens of the stampeding giants.
A scepter in the hand of a reaper increased 20 fold in size before cleaving down encased in a fuming smoke that drifted up and blot out the sky above.
Confronted with the unfortunate reality of death happening at a such a large scale and rapid pace, the men beneath the shattered remains of the wall chose to close their eyes and embrace death.
The reapers scepter descended again and made it through three such men, it seemed to simply pass through them , until a line of smoke ripped out of their belly and their body dissipated into ash. Before the fourth man could meet the same fate, a lucky Ronny Kerr if you could believe it, a hammer ripped the air and struck a mighty blow stopping the scepter in it's tracks.
The ground beneath the blow cracked with the pressure, an ogre standing too close, fell to the ground blood pouring out of his eyes and nose.
As a heavy wind rushed over the battle field, eyes turned to witness the warrior. The Giant hammer was held by an equally giant man, of great height and armor to match the most valiant heroes of legend. Each limb bearing the emblem of the dragon.
"Do you mighty heroes really intend to fall to terror!" His bellow echoed across the battlefield.
"You intend to meet the devil's due without a fight? Fine then! You scaley yellow bellied cowards are free to roll over and die and leave your wives and daughters to the hands of hell spawn! Free To Let The Earth Burn To Cinders! But if ya have a backbone!" He finished with spittle flying out of his mouth and a hammers strike to the earth. Then opened his arms wide and gathered as much air as he could.
FOLLOW ME!!!!!
With a roar the soldiers followed him into battle, swords drawn to reach the enemy.
"_'"_'
Way up into the sky, on top of a cloud above lay a tower hidden from sight. It's owner, a tall woman with hair of green and skin of white reclined her body onto a throne of pearl. In the dimly lit light of dawn her twin tattoos of stormy hearts seemed to breath life into air, as if a storm was echoing beneath her skin.
With her finger curled around a small teacup she gently rose her finger and took a sip before glancing at a guest that seemed to be hidden in the shadows. With a glance of amusement towards them she began a monologue.
"Do you suppose ? ...That that speech would've worked no matter the enemy? If say those weren't demon spawn but other humans, would it have went the same? I'm inclined to think so. Troops stop them , do you want to let them get to your wives and daughters." She finished the last part with a mock imitation of the man below.
"But what about the other sides wives and daughters? Will they not now suffer at the hands of the same men who screamed in outrage when the same offense was offered to their own? "
The woman felt a sour smile work its way on her face. " That is why I don't fight in your wars. Even if you are one of my favorites. I simply don't believe in your people. I don't believe in the causes of humans. "
"Stay as long as you want though Titan. " She leaned over seductively. "As I said you are one of my favorites. "
The shadowed figure seemed to emit maximum concentration suddenly, sending the woman on her gaurd. Slowly he pulled something out of his pocket.
In the woman's mind although she felt confusion and hurt she immediately prepared a twelve stage spell in the back of her mind and began to close off her heart to the act to come.
The shadowed warrior, item in hand, lowered himself to the floor and revealed a small flower tied in a circle.
"Marry Me."
