There is an old saying that cannot be refused

There is an old saying that goes: "When a superior gives you something, it's impolite to decline."

There was a cunning rogue who didn't go to eat Tang Lin's powerful fists and feet, but instead waited until Tang Lin had beaten the person half to death, then snatched the money bag that the rogue leader had thrown on the ground and ran away.

"Don't run!" Tang Lin hit the last thug and then chased after the escaping thug with all her might.

When the Holy Lord entered the crowd, he glanced at the scene in front of him and then looked towards Tang Lin who had already gone far away. But only a glimpse of Tang Lin's cold back could be caught by his eyes, while her face was not seen at all, which evoked a sense of loss in his heart. He knew very well that he would never feel lost because of anything, but because he did not see the face of the owner of that green back, he... felt a slight sense of loss.

With a glance at the scene, Yuzi Dust walked up to the old strong man and asked, "Old sir, what happened? Why are there so many people lying here?"

The old man's eyes suddenly ignited with anger, pointing directly at the group of thugs on the ground who were crying and wailing, "This gang of bullies specializes in bullying us ordinary people, always collecting taxes, and even snatching our money bags. If it weren't for that powerful martial arts girl who saved me earlier, I'm afraid I would have been beaten to the ground by this group of people and wouldn't be able to get up!"

His Majesty's eyebrows were tightly locked, and a sharp light flashed in his cold eyes. "Under the bright sky, you dare to bully the weak under the emperor's feet, this is simply rebellious!"

The young master understood what the old man meant and asked him, "Who is the official in charge of this place?"

"It's Zhang Shichong, Lord Zhang!" The old man replied.

"Yes, thank you, old man. Here, take this," Yuzi Chen pulled out a silver ingot from his sleeve and placed it in the old man's hand.

A single glance was worth a piece of white silver, and the old man's eyes were filled with fear. He was overwhelmed with gratitude and repeatedly pushed back with both hands, "No, no, no! The little old man can't accept it, sir, please take it back!"

The young master gently pushed him out, showing the noble and dignified air of the imperial family, "Old man, it's an order from a junior, you can't refuse!"

The old man smiled wryly and said, "Since there are elders who bestow gifts that cannot be refused, how can there be juniors who bestow gifts that cannot be refused? Young master, please take it back. This old man absolutely cannot accept this silver!"

A middle-aged woman wearing a simple dress, with a flower basket slung over her waist, walked in and came to the old man's side. "Liu Laobo, just take it, your money bag that girl may not be able to catch up with you, but your wife is still waiting for your money to buy medicine, so take this money, don't disappoint this young man's kindness."

After the middle-aged woman's words, Yu Zi Chen took out another two silver ingots from his sleeve and put them into the old man's hands. "Old sir, don't decline, take it, let me show my filial piety!"

"This," the old man looked embarrassed, and didn't dare to accept the silver, pushing away the hand of Yu Zi Chen again, "It's not possible, it's too much, I really can't accept it!"

The Holy Lord took two steps forward, took the two silver ingots from Yu Zi Chen's hand, and then grasped the rough, calloused hands of the old man. He personally placed the silver into the old man's hands, and then closed his fingers around it. His piercing eyes, black and white as ebony and ivory, locked onto the old man's gaze, conveying an unyielding intent that no one could refuse. His tone was equally resolute: "Old sir, take this! This is what we are returning to you on behalf of those who have been extorted by the corrupt officials. You should accept it!"

With the sufficient reason of Yu Sheng Jun, Lao Zhuang Han indeed no longer declined, but he was not grateful to those rascals, instead he was grateful to the two people in front of him, "Thank you, thank you two gentlemen, old man thanks you!"

The holy lord's lip corners rose with a warm arc, and he patted the old man's shoulder. "Old fellow, don't be polite, take the silver to buy medicine for your wife."

"Alright, I'll go now," said the old man as he left with the support of a middle-aged woman.

"Let's go too!" After glancing at Yuzi Chen, Yu Sheng Jun walked towards the street where Tang Lin had disappeared.
