Three days have passed.
Gu Hou, in the ghost king's stone chamber, his complexion had changed from its initial calmness to unease and then to anxiety, now it was full of irritation and impatience. For him, although he had expected that this star disk was not an ordinary treasure, deciphering its secrets would require a considerable amount of time for mental preparation, but he absolutely did not expect it to take three days. What's more, at this moment, it seemed that the three days' effort had been spent in vain, and Gu Hou still didn't seem to have made any progress.
According to his original idea, when Mr. Gui first came into contact with this star plate, it triggered a strange change in the star plate. It should be that he had some insights about this treasure, and after a few days of contemplation, it would not be difficult to understand its secrets. But unexpectedly, during these three days, he followed Mr. Gui around, only watching him turn the divine instrument over and over again without stopping. Not to mention becoming extremely familiar with it, Ghostly even felt that Mr. Gui should have memorized every single ancient character on the small jade blocks in the center of the jade plate.
However, Mr. Gui apparently fell into a predicament, or rather, he encountered an extremely difficult problem in comprehending this treasure, and after several days, he made no progress at all.
The stone room where the King of Ghosts lived was naturally much more spacious than the others in the Fox Spirit Mountain cave, divided into two sections. The larger outer section was where Gui Li and Mr. Gui meditated on the star chart, while the smaller inner section was the King of Ghosts' bedroom. Although the King of Ghosts was not there, neither Gui Li nor Mr. Gui had stepped foot in the inner room for three days. With their cultivation level, they could easily go without sleep for ten days and nights, let alone three.
The hardest part is still the two words "waiting".
For three days, Gui Li has not left this stone room, and Xiao Hui has also been waiting here. However, being a monkey, Xiao Hui is restless and these three days of not moving have almost suffocated him. At the moment, Gui Li and Gui Xiansheng are still staring at the star plate treasure with wide eyes, and after three days, they have also become lazy and ignored Xiao Hui.
Xiao Hui ran around the stone room, and after three days, it had already become familiar with every corner. At this time, it jumped onto the ghost king's usual large desk, which was something that no one in the Ghost King Sect dared to do, but now, since the heavens were high and the emperor was far away, there was no one to stop it.
Little Grey was bored, lying down on the big desk for a while, then crawling up again, dancing with his hands and feet, and then turning over with four legs in the air. In the end, he was too bored to be alone, so he sat up again, stretched out his hand to scratch his head, and made low "squeaking" sounds with his mouth, looking around for something fun to do.
This stone room was spacious, but not exaggeratedly large, so it felt natural. Its gaze fell on the inner chamber. Xiao Hui scratched his head and turned to look at Gui Ye, only to see that Gui Ye's face was gloomy, with a hint of anger floating on his face, clearly in a very bad mood. Meanwhile, Ghost Mr. was intently studying the star plate in his hand, which emitted a soft white glow, occasionally raising his eyes to glance at Gui Ye before withdrawing his gaze again.
The two of them obviously focused their attention on the star chart, even if they had a little extra vigilance, at most it was just a glance at each other, no one paid any more attention to this side's monkey. Xiao Hui shrugged his shoulders, pouted his mouth, "tsk tsk" muttered twice, wagged his tail twice, turned around, looked at the inner room for a while, then jumped down from the desk and slowly walked over.
The interior of the stone chamber where the King of Ghosts resided was not luxurious, but rather simple and unadorned. This showed that the master of this place did not care about worldly pleasures. The outer room was like this, and so was the inner room: a wooden bed, a round table, three round stools, with four paintings hanging on the stone walls around them. The first painting was a landscape in ink, with a lot of white space left blank, giving it an otherworldly feel; the second painting was of flowers and birds welcoming spring, with birds flying among the blossoms, full of the joy of spring; the third painting depicted a tiger sleeping in the bushes, but its atmosphere was different from the first two paintings - the tiger's energy was fierce and powerful, with a heroic air that seemed to dominate the world.
Xiao Hui naturally didn't understand the meaning of calligraphy and painting. To a monkey, mountains, water, flowers, and birds were no different from white cloth. However, the third painting, "Reclining Tiger", was quite realistic and imposing, and Xiao Hui was taken aback at first sight. He quickly reacted, made a face at the tiger on the wall, stuck out his tongue, and spat out water.
These three calligraphic paintings are hung side by side on the stone wall of the inner chamber, reflecting each other. Although the artistic conception in the paintings is vastly different, they seem to have a harmonious and unified style. On the opposite side of the stone wall, however, only one painting hangs alone.
The painting is not a landscape or flowers and birds, but a beautiful woman. This scroll is a meticulous work of art, extremely detailed, the beautiful woman's body, down to the ring and earrings, is incredibly lifelike, let alone her dignified and elegant facial expression, making one involuntarily feel admiration and adoration, it can be said that this is a rare treasure in the world of painting.
It's a treasure in the eyes of humans, but in the three eyes of the monkey, it naturally has to be greatly discounted. Xiao Hui looked at it with an expressionless face, glanced at it a few times, and then turned back to look at the tiger's painting again.
I don't know what a good painting looks like in the eyes of monkeys, maybe it should be to paint a few monkeys vividly and lifelike?
The monkey's fondness for painting is unknown, but at this moment Xiao Hui is most concerned about the painting of a tiger hiding in the bushes. It blinked its three eyes, jumped to the bottom of the painting and looked up at it. The tiger in the painting was majestic and powerful, with bold brushstrokes that seemed to make the tiger leap out of the painting, letting out a long roar that made all the animals tremble with fear.
Xiao Hui looked for a long time, then suddenly turned around and glanced outside again. He saw that the figures of Gui Li and Gui Xiansheng were already blocked by the stone wall, and he couldn't see what was happening inside. After such a long time, there was still no movement outside, apparently no one had noticed Xiao Hui's movements.
The monkey turned around, scratched his head with his hand, and after a moment, as if he had suddenly made up his mind, he jumped up from the ground. These three scrolls were all hung on the stone wall, below which there was nothing but the stone wall that could be climbed, and ordinary monkeys and animals couldn't reach them. But Xiao Hui was no ordinary monkey, and with this one jump, he actually jumped to the top of the scroll, stretched out his paw, and easily took down the scroll.
It was just a long scroll, and as Xiao Hui's body fell down, the momentum couldn't be stopped, and it made a "pa" sound as it hit the ground.
Although the sound was not loud, the two people outside were shocked by it. After a moment of silence, Guī Lì's voice came from outside, calling out in a slightly puzzled tone: "Xiao Hui?"
"Hush, hush......"
As a strange, dragging sound echoed through the air, under the gaze of Gui Li and Mr. Gui, the gray-haired monkey ran out of the Gui Wang stone chamber, holding a painting scroll in its hand, with more than half of the painting paper scattered on the ground, being dragged from the inner city to Gui Li's face.
Guilian and Mr. Gui were both stunned for a moment.
Xiao Hui tightly grasped the painting in her hand and ran to Gui Li, chirping "squeak squeak squeak" nonstop.
The ghost frowned, reached out and took the painting over, unfolded it to take a look, but it was a meticulously painted, vigorously brushed landscape of tigers in the woods. He looked up and down at it twice, then turned to Xiaohui and said: "What did you bring this painting for?"
Xiao Hui jumped up, waving his hands and feet, with a look of great excitement on his face. He waved his hands wildly, either pointing at the fierce tiger in the painting or drawing strange patterns in mid-air. Before long, he pointed north again, busy as can be, leaving Ghost Mr. watching from the side, bewildered. Despite being extremely knowledgeable and wise, he was completely baffled by the three-eyed monkey's language, and with a mind full of questions, he could only turn to look at Jiao Jie.
Who would have thought that Ghostly's expression also had a few parts of astonishment, looking at Xiao Hui's movements and the constant squeaking sounds, Ghostly looked at the painting again, hesitated for a moment, and said: "You... could it be that you think the things in this painting are very similar to Da Huang, so you want to take this painting away and give it to Da Huang later?"
Xiao Hui immediately nodded frequently.
Although Guilian was in a bad mood at the moment, he couldn't help but feel a little amused. The tiger in the painting was vivid and lifelike, its majestic aura unmistakable, even when crouching in the bushes, it still exuded an air of power. How could that lazy dog on top of the bamboo peak, with its shiny fur but gluttonous and sleepy nature, compare to this? Moreover, no matter how Guilian looked at it, he really couldn't see any resemblance between this fierce tiger and Dahuang.
It seems that monkeys and humans are quite different after all.
However, after being shocked and amused, Gui Li also remembered the big yellow in a thousand miles away, as well as the mountain peak that brought warmth to his memories. After a moment of silence, he had a faint smile at the corner of his mouth, and his expression softened a lot. He said in a low voice: "This painting belongs to the master of Gui Wang Sect, it's not convenient to take it away for now, but don't worry, I'll get it back for you later." As he spoke, he gently rolled up the painting of the tiger lying in wait and put it aside.
Mr. Gui couldn't help but ask: "Who is Da Huang?"
The ghost paused for a moment, then looked at Mr. Gui with a faint gaze and said, "A dog."
Mr. Gui was taken aback, unable to speak for a moment, then coughed and fell silent, shifting his gaze back to the star chart in front of him. Gui Lie stroked Xiao Hui's head, whispering two sentences that were no doubt warnings against running wild again, before also focusing on the star chart, after all, deciphering it was the top priority in his mind.
Xiao Hui sat beside the two of them for a while, but soon became bored again. Actually, this can't be blamed on it. Whoever was with these two people for three days and three nights, just watching them do the same thing, would also get annoyed. Not to mention a naturally restless monkey?
At this time, Mr. Ghost seemed to have discovered something, and suddenly pointed at the small jade blocks moving in the center of the jade plate to Ghost Ji: "I think the key to this treasure lies on these constantly sliding jade blocks."
The ghost nodded slowly, apparently also agreeing with this view, but his eyebrows slightly furrowed and said: "But we have been watching for three days, yet still can't figure out why these jade blocks can slide automatically, I wonder if you have any insight?"
The Master of Ghosts pondered for a moment and said: "Have you ever felt that the trajectory of these jade blocks is quite similar to the movement of the stars in the sky?"
The ghost's body shook slightly, and he stared intently at the star chart. After a while, he clapped his hands and said, "Indeed, there is some truth to it."
Master Gui said, "Actually, I don't have any confidence either, but I feel that it is indeed so. Even if these jade blocks are as smooth as the stars in the sky, there are still many unsolved mysteries. I think that to comprehend the most important part of this treasure, one should focus on the ancient characters on these jade blocks."
The demon slowly nodded. The two continued to talk, answering each other, and soon became immersed in the star disk treasure again. Xiao Hui sat beside them for a while before turning around and leaving.
In the stone room, the eerie and intermittent whispers of Gui Lian and Gui Xiansheng kept coming, Xiao Hui looked around for a moment, under the boredom, and quietly walked into the inner chamber again.
The stone wall, from which Xiao Hui had just pulled down the painting, revealed a few marks with a faint color difference from the surrounding walls. It seemed that this painting had been hanging here for some time. However, in this inner room, apart from the four paintings on the stone walls, there was only a wooden bed, table and chairs, and nothing else interesting. Xiao Hui fiddled around, but soon became bored again.
Just as it was getting extremely boring, three eyes suddenly lit up, as if they had discovered something. They jumped and bounced around, and the whole body suddenly jumped onto the big bed of the King of Ghosts. Without caring about dirtying the bedding, they actually started rolling and tumbling on top of it. The stone room was simply but very clean, suggesting that the King of Ghosts himself was also a person who liked cleanliness. It's unknown how he would react if he came back to see this scene - whether he would get so angry that smoke would come out of his seven orifices.
But at this moment, Xiao Hui didn't care about that much. Anyway, no one was taking care of it now, so it was jumping and bouncing on the bed by itself. Suddenly, it seemed to have bumped into something in a certain corner of the bed, causing the whole bed to shake violently.
Then, on the stone wall close to the bed, a large crack suddenly opened silently, and then slowly retreated quietly to both sides, revealing a big hole that could accommodate one person entering and exiting.
Little Grey felt something the moment the bed shook, jumped down, and lay on the ground with a look of surprise in his eyes. He stared until he saw a hidden door quietly appear on the stone wall. He slowly got up and looked inside, but it was pitch black and nothing could be seen. However, no fierce monsters came running out either. The mysterious black hole seemed to have a hint of temptation for the bored monkey, as if beckoning him gently.
Xiao Hui scratched his head, turned around and glanced back at the outer stone chamber. Gui Li and Gui Xiansheng had fallen into another long period of contemplation. San Yan Ling Hou turned around, suddenly grinned mischievously, made a ghostly face, then lightly jumped up and slipped into the dark hole. In an instant, his figure disappeared into the darkness.
A faint, almost imperceptible breeze blew out of the mysterious black hole on the stone wall, carrying a hint of faint bloody smell. As soon as it entered the dark door of the stone wall, the third eye in the center of Xiaohui's forehead flashed with a faint golden light, emitting an unusual glow. Under this faint golden light, the originally dark cave was also vaguely visible.
A passageway that can only hold one person, making it not very smooth to walk on, but for a monkey, it's more than enough. Xiaohui walked in this passageway with a sense of adventure and excitement for a short while before feeling the ground beneath her feet suddenly sink, and the passageway turned downwards.
The stone walls on both sides of the passage, as they gradually descended deeper, became increasingly damp, and in some places, even water droplets fell gently in the darkness. In the extremely quiet passage, only Xiaohui's shadow slowly moved forward, and from time to time, a faint wind blew from the front, carrying a strange, faint bloody smell.
The downhill passage was not steep, but it was quite long. Xiaohui walked for a while and should have been deep in the depths of Hu Xi Mountain by now. It was at this time that Xiaohui suddenly stopped in her tracks. In the distance ahead, a faint red glow suddenly appeared.
The monkey stood in the corridor for a moment, seemingly hesitant. After a while, it turned its head and looked back at the way it came from, scratched its head with its hand, as if hesitating whether to go back and tell its master. But that little red light ahead seemed like a temptation, softly flickering.
At last, the monkey cried out twice and then cautiously moved forward.
As the red glow drew closer, the faint scent of blood in the passage also grew thicker. Xiao Hui's expression on his face gradually became tense, he stretched out his nose to sniff the air, and his eyes were filled with uncertainty. However, until the end, when the red glow was right in front of him, he still moved forward. If you like this book, please go to Lian Cheng Book Alliance and vote for me.
Finally arrived at the front of Hong Mang, it turned out that this was another entrance to the passage. Xiao Hui poked his head out from here and looked around for a few times before jumping out with a leap. After a moment, he was already standing on a wide road several times wider than the previous passage.
This main road, apart from the channel that Xiao Hui came in through, actually had another channel connected to it, right next to the channel that Xiao Hui jumped down from. It was dark and gloomy, and I didn't know where it led to either.
On the other side of the main road, however, it was a stark contrast to the darkness of the passageway earlier. It was very bright, especially with the red lights flashing at the end of the road, shining non-stop. It seemed that what Xiaohui saw from afar in the passageway earlier was this scene.
Still empty and without a single person, even at the end of that bright red light, it was just a flash of light, with no unusual sounds.
Xiao Hui sniffed the air, and the bloody smell here was so strong that it seemed to be unbearable. A moment later, Xiao Hui's gaze suddenly condensed and fell on the entrance of the passage he had just approached. The originally blue stone wall turned dark red at this point, and the wet places on the stone wall dripped slowly in the light, extremely bright red, like fresh blood.
Drop by drop, slow dripping!
The golden light in the little monkey's eyes gradually lit up, and after staring at the blood bead for a while, it slowly turned its body around, looking at the flashing red light in the distance for a while before taking another step forward.
The red mangrove swayed eerily, as if it had a spirit, lightly exhaling, slowly and wildly unfolding, engulfing the slow-moving monkey's shadow.
It was already deep in the night, although inside the Foxi Mountain cave, one couldn't clearly feel the change of day and night. Outside the cave, under the dark sky, countless stars twinkled like numerous past days sprinkling down to the world. On the bare and desolate Foxi Mountain, some places were also illuminated.
Under the starlight, a white figure suddenly floated from afar, light and agile, seemingly weightless, like a leaf falling in the wind, blown by the night breeze between the mountains, slowly landing on the top of Fox Ridge Mountain. With the faint starlight, the white figure turned around, revealing delicate eyebrows and eyes, icy skin and snowy complexion, an air of subtle charm that made one's heart skip a beat, lingering between the eyebrows and eyes, it was none other than the Nine-Tailed Heavenly Fox Xiao Bai.
At this moment, Xiao Bai's eyebrows were tightly locked, and her face was rarely seen with a few points of heaviness. She stood at the top of Hu Xi Mountain, and the night wind blew in, surrounding her with bareness, without a single tree to block the wind, blowing her clothes into a fluttering dance, revealing her plump and seductive figure even more. Xiao Bai slowly looked around, and now on Hu Xi Mountain, everywhere was littered with rocks and gravel, not to mention trees, but there wasn't even a single weed.
Looking at this desolate landscape, who would believe that just a few decades ago, it was still a place with clear mountains and rivers?
Others didn't know, but Xiao Bai did, because the area around Hu Xi Mountain was exactly where the Fox Demon clan's ancestors originated and lived. She had also grown up here since childhood, so the mountains, rivers, trees, and every blade of grass were all different from other places to her.
But then, everything disappeared mysteriously, leaving behind only this desolate scene in front of me.
Xiaobai slowly crouched down, stretched out her pale palm, and gently scooped up a handful of soil - no, it should be said that it was sandy soil. The land on Fox Ridge was cracked and all that remained was gravel. The hard sandstone scattered in her delicate palm. Xiaobai carefully looked at the sandy soil in her hand, her eyes gleaming with an otherworldly light, as if she wanted to see something from these small pebbles.
After a moment, she slowly closed her palms, clenched her fists, and gently loosened them downwards. The gravel slipped silently from between her fingers, but was blown away by the night wind that came from afar in mid-air, reflecting a faint glimmer of light under the starlight, disappearing into the dark distance of the night sky.
The gravel here is no different from elsewhere.
Xiaobai slowly got up, lifted her head and gazed at the starry sky. The starlight fell on her body, like gentle hands gently stroking her figure, comforting her.
She suddenly opened her eyes wide, as if she had thought of something, but what followed was not a big move, but rather a strange sudden lift of her foot, like the action of a little girl in the mortal world when she is angry and stamping her feet, heavily stepping on the ground once.
"Pffft!"
A low, muffled sound arose in the night wind, drifting and spreading with the breeze. A cloud of dust rose up, then gently fell back down in the wind. After a moment, suddenly from beneath Xiaobai's feet on the ground came a strange, rattling noise, "crackling and popping" without cease, lasting for nearly half the time it takes to drink a cup of tea before gradually subsiding.
Xiaobai's mouth corners drooped, her white body floated up like a floating duckweed, as if being lifted by the wind, extremely beautiful. However, her pair of eyes were filled with tears, staring only at the ground beneath her feet. After a moment, she was suspended in mid-air, suddenly her sleeve fluttered out, and she swept past the ground.
This mighty sleeve was not small, and suddenly several piercing whistling sounds echoed through the night sky. As the sleeve swept across the ground, sand and stones flew everywhere, and dust danced wildly. In mid-air, Xiao Bai didn't stop either, his sleeves continuously swinging downwards, sweeping seven times in a row. The dust on the ground had already formed a small gray whirlwind, filled with shattered rocks and gravel, rapidly spinning and swirling upwards under the starry night sky.
The little white figure let out a soft cry, and her body suddenly stretched upwards by more than ten feet. Under the starlight, she was like a floating white shadow, an ethereal beauty that dazzled the eyes. As she rose higher, the whirlwind made of sand and gravel was also pulled up by an invisible force, but it blew out in the opposite direction of the little white figure. The speed of the wind was so fast that in just an instant, the column of sand and gravel had fallen to the ground far away. Rumbling sounds kept coming from the darkness, probably the noise of those rocks hitting the ground.
Under the little white's feet, where the original Hu Xi mountain peak was, a large hole with a width of six feet and a depth of over ten feet appeared. The little white raised her hand and foot, and in the hard-as-iron mountain peak, she dug out such a big hole, which was already astonishing. However, if you look at it from the perspective of her thousand-year-old nine-tailed heavenly fox, it's not unexpected. It's just that the little white obviously didn't come to dig holes on this mountain peak in the middle of the night out of boredom. As she slowly fell from mid-air, her eyes never left the hole again, and her white figure floated directly into the deep pit.
As soon as she entered the deep pit, Xiaobai's body suddenly slowed down, as if something invisible was supporting her feet, and she stared intently at the wall of the big pit, gazing up at the faint starlight above.
Her slender white hands pressed against the rough stone wall, forming a stark contrast, with an eerie feeling, but Xiao Bai didn't notice any of this, she just followed her own palm, following her own body's slow descent, carefully looking at the wall of the pit.
What entered her line of sight was a bluish-gray stone wall, rough and hard, and icy to the touch. As Xiaobai's body slowly descended, her gaze also slowly fell, dropping by one foot, still the same bluish-gray rock, without any change, just like the mountainside rocks everywhere in this world.
She continued to descend, her pale palm against the rock wall, gently falling down, two feet deep, still the same cyan-gray hard rock.
One two feet...
Four feet...
Five feet...
No change at all, still the same strong rock, the cold feeling seems to have been passed down for millions of years, and now suddenly sees the sky and sun, and is coldly emitted from the rough surface of the rock wall.
Xiaobai's face had no expression, her body was still slowly falling, but after a moment, suddenly, her eyes lit up, and her body shook in mid-air, stopping its descent.
On the rocky wall six feet deep from the ground, next to her white palm, finally, an unusual change appeared on the hard rock for the first time.
A faint red mark, like a small blood thread, appeared on the stone block.
Xiaobai stared intently at the small red mark for a long time, then suddenly a cold smile appeared on her mouth, and her body slowly fell down again. Her gaze still tightly locked onto the stone wall. Indeed, as her shadow gradually descended, more anomalies appeared before her eyes. The originally hard, dark gray rock should have been harder as it went down, but instead, the red marks on the stone wall above became more numerous and deeper in color. After reaching a depth of over one zhang, Xiaobai slowly turned around to look, and before her eyes was a vast expanse of crimson-colored rock, with large cracks visible everywhere. The icy atmosphere that had surrounded her was replaced by a strong bloody smell emanating from the stone walls.
That shocking crimson, that kind of terror that makes one's heart devour!
A hint of disgust flashed in Xiao Bai's eyes, and she let out a cold hum. Her figure moved, and the white figure shot up into the sky, flying out of the cave and landing on the ground beside the deep pit. The starlight in the night sky poured down, once again shining on her white figure, like water washing away the scene that had just passed like a nightmare.
Xiaobai's face was calm, she took a deep breath, facing the night wind blowing from afar, and looked up at the sky. After a moment, she suddenly smiled, whispering: "For thousands of years, there have always been some people who don't know their place, wanting to do something foolish, let's see how they end up, hehehe..."
A faint, cold laughter drifted away in the night wind, disappearing into the unknown, while under the starry sky, a lone figure stood atop a mountain, facing the wind with an otherworldly beauty that seemed to transcend the mundane world, standing alone and forlorn.
It was a deep night, and it seemed that many people couldn't sleep either. It was as if something was lingering in their minds, leaving them with an inexplicable feeling that they couldn't quite put into words.
In the cave of Hu Xi Mountain, Gui Li and Mr. Gui were still concentrated on contemplating the star plate, they had already reached a rather critical moment, with Mr. Gui's profound knowledge, he had barely inferred several ancient characters on the jade plate, although it was said that for the time being, he had not yet penetrated the mystery of the star plate, but obviously much better than before.
In the midst of this tension, Gui Li suddenly had an epiphany, his gaze left the star chart for a moment, and he looked around, only to see that there was no one beside him, Xiao Hui didn't know where it went to play or maybe found a place to sleep. His eyes flickered, and his gaze fell on the rolled-up painting next to him, he fell silent for a moment, as if remembering something, and a faint smile appeared at the corner of his mouth.
The smile was warm, but it disappeared quickly. He lightly shook his head, as if throwing away something he shouldn't be thinking about at the moment, and then dived back into that mysterious star chart.
In another place within the belly of Hu Xi Mountain, in a quiet and icy stone chamber, wisps of smoke drifted gently. Bi Yao remained quietly asleep, while beside her, Gui Wang sat silently.
The white hair hanging from the King of Ghosts' head fell down, reminding him that his youth had long since passed, and the sleeping child by his side made his heart ache even more. On such a deep night, he, like countless nights in the past decade, couldn't fall asleep.
He quietly waited for dawn, waiting for tomorrow, and perhaps by then everything would have changed!
His hand, unconscious of its action, clenched into a fist.
Far away in a thousand miles, similarly quiet and silent deep night.
High up on the Qingyun Mountain, at the Small Bamboo Peak, the night wind howled, and the bamboo rustled in waves. Lu Xueqi slowly sat up from her bed, unable to sleep this whole night.
Tossing and turning, for whom?
She quietly got out of bed, without wearing shoes, and walked barefoot on the ground with her soft white feet, feeling a cool sensation coming from the soles of her feet. The floor was as cool as water. She walked to the window, pushed it open, and the starry sky flowed in like waves, instantly illuminating her absolutely beautiful face, making it even more radiant.
Lu Xueqi gazed quietly at the starry sky on the horizon, motionless.
On such a deep night, are people in distant places also under the starlight?
Is that faint starlight sprinkled on his body?
She gazed quietly at the starry sky, no longer moving, as if she too was waiting for something.
The starlight is faint, yet seemingly eternal and unchanging, having witnessed all the ups and downs of human life, and seen through all the entanglements of love and hate.
Maybe tomorrow will be better...
She thought so quietly in her heart.
What will tomorrow be like?
No one will know.
