Chapter Thirty: You guys continue, I'm here for a heroic rescue.
This matter is nothing in the vast campus, except for a few people involved, it may not even be noticed or remembered.
This matter was nothing more than a small episode for Ling Fei, and it was soon thrown out of his mind.
But the bespectacled man harbored a grudge in secret, remembering the two words "Ling Fei" firmly in his heart, so that later Ling Fei almost lost his life in order to deal with his revenge...
Pushing his cart, Ling Fei called out to a student and asked the time. There were still less than 30 minutes until school let out. After some deliberation, Ling Fei decided not to return to the office after all.
She glanced up at the school gate, pouted, and pushed her bicycle towards the entrance.
As he walked up to the school gate, Ling Fei glanced at the registration room and was startled.
The usually fierce security guard was gone, replaced by an old man who sat in the registration room with a thermos cup in his hand, sipping steaming hot tea one mouthful at a time.
One hand holding a newspaper, wearing reading glasses and reading with relish.
That white-haired temples, a face full of wrinkles, the dim eyes flashing with light made Ling Fei think of an old man, a pair of eyes that were equally dull, yet flashed with the light representing wisdom...
Ling Fei shook his head with a bitter smile; "How could I have thought of him..."
He took another look at the old man in the registration room and finally decided to strike up a conversation. He walked closer, looked through the small window on the glass, and saw that the old man still hadn't noticed Ling Fei, still intently reading the newspaper.
"Excuse me, sir, where is the person who was originally in charge of registration?" Ling Fei knocked on the window and asked politely.
The old man raised his eyes and looked at Ling Fei, his eyebrows forming a "three" shape, which made Ling Fei secretly sigh in his heart: "At such an advanced age, still doing registration work, can he handle it..."
"Are you the teacher or a parent?" The old man looked at Ling Fei for a few moments, then took out the registration form and flipped through it page by page.
Ling Fei shook his head; "Uncle, don't look at me like that, I'm the teacher here, and it seems I've never registered either."
"Haven't you registered yet? Young man, remember that without rules and regulations, nothing can be accomplished. These rules are to be followed and cannot be broken just to save a little time." The old man said with a serious tone to Ling Fei.
Ling Fei didn't mind, older people like to talk nonsense, as long as you go along with him it's fine.
"Yes, sir, you're right. Next time I'll definitely register. Sir, but you haven't told me where the original person in charge of this registration room went." Ling Fei chuckled and skillfully steered the conversation back on track.
The old man took off his glasses, pulled out a white handkerchief from the pocket of his gray jacket, wiped his glasses and put them back on; "You mean those little rascals? They went out drinking again today, leaving me to cover for them. The school knows about it too, but they still care about my old face, so they didn't say anything."
Ling Fei's heart suddenly became clear after hearing this, and he couldn't help but take a few more glances at the old man. What kind of insignificant person could make even the renowned Ba Gao school lower its guard and have some small movements?
He clenched his heart; "Old master, why did they ask you to take over when they went out for a drink?" Ling Fei asked with some curiosity.
"Today's shift is my grandson, he's already in his twenties but still doesn't know how to do a proper job. I arranged for him to take this position so he could hone his skills, but who knew he'd still be so idle? As an old man, I couldn't just leave the post empty, so I dragged this dying body of mine to manage things..." The old man said with a smile, his tone calm and natural.
Ling Fei nodded slightly, thought for a moment, and felt that there was nothing more to say. He looked at the bicycle he was holding onto and raised his head, saying: "Old man, do you have an air tube?"
……
He borrowed an air pipe, inflated the tire a bit, and the old man took out a rag. Ling Fei thanked him and ran to the public toilet on the other side of the playground to get it wet, then ran back, quickly wiping the dust off the car clean, and then ran back to the toilet to wash the rag clean.
Return it to the old man; "Old man, thank you, I'll go first."
The old man nodded, looked at Ling Fei deeply for a few moments; "Young man, remember, next time you have to sign in. My surname is Han, if you have any difficulties in school, mention me, they will give me some face."
After finishing speaking, the old man seemed unwilling to say more, took a sip of tea, and then shook open the newspaper to continue reading.
Ling Fei nodded in agreement and didn't say a word, straddled his bicycle and pedaled away.
The old man sighed after Ling Fei left, put down the newspaper, and his eyes became distant; "When will my useless grandson be as promising as this young man? Ling Fei... a very interesting kid..."
After finishing speaking, the old man smiled and continued reading the newspaper with his head down.
……
Riding his bicycle out of the Ba Gao school gate, Ling Fei increased his pedaling speed, stepping down harder and harder. After gradually getting familiar with the bike, he began to speed along the wide streets.
A motorcycle was parked by the side of the road, a young man sat on it with a cigarette in his mouth and a mobile phone in his hand. A smile hung at the corner of his mouth, as if he were texting his girlfriend.
Suddenly, before the young man could react, a strong gust of wind swept past him, almost blowing him off his feet.
The young man sat firmly on his body, jumped off the motorcycle, and pointed at the figure that had already gone far away, scolding: "Damn it, are you in a hurry to go?!"
……
This figure was indeed Ling Fei. Of course, Ling Fei did not hear the young man's curse and continued to pedal his bicycle at high speed along the side of the road.
Unconsciously, they had already run a long way. After checking the time, it wasn't early anymore. Squinting ahead, about a kilometer away was a big highway. Ling Fei let out a sigh; "Let's stop here for today, this bike feels pretty good."
Just as Ling Fei was about to turn the car around and leave, a faint humming sound came from the corner of two shops thirty meters away. Normally, people couldn't hear it, but Ling Fei's physical condition had almost recovered in recent days. Although his spiritual energy still couldn't be felt, his keen sense of hearing had returned.
She furrowed her brow, judging from the voice that it was a woman. Ling Fei wasn't stupid enough to go and act out some heroic rescue scene for no reason, nor would he be like some foolish guy who thought that just because he saved someone, they'd stick to him like glue.
After some thought, Ling Fei still felt that it was better not to get involved in such matters. When he saved Mu Rong Shu Mei at the bar earlier, he had already taken on the trouble of being a teacher; if he were to interfere again this time, who knows what would happen?
Just as Ling Fei was about to ride away, a sudden cry for help rang out; "Save me!"
The sound was abruptly cut off, possibly because someone immediately covered his mouth.
Ling Fei heard the cry for help and stopped in his tracks. If he had continued walking at that moment, although he could have saved himself, it would have been a bit too heartless.
In the midst of a fierce battle between heaven and man, with no other choice, he put the car aside, took a look at the already broken lock head, glanced around and found no one. Only then did he quickly walk towards that alley. At the same time, he thought to himself: "Damn it, why do I always get stuck with this kind of thing?"
He wanted to go back, but since Ling Fei had decided to save that so-called "beauty", he couldn't be late. He searched around and found a suitable white brick, then quickened his pace towards the alley.
……
In the alley, more than 20 non-mainstream thugs blocked the entire alley, unable to see the situation inside. Only faintly heard that there were women's sobbing voices and several men's obscene voices; "This little bitch is really tender, damn it, I said Xiaoqiang, you're really bold, daring to commit a crime in broad daylight?"
Another shrill voice impatiently replied, "Cut the crap, if we can still get such a high-quality chick at night, I'm gonna have a great time!"
The man called Xiaoqiang shouted after finishing: "Brothers, let you guys have fun after we're done!"
A dozen or so non-mainstream thugs standing outside immediately shouted excitedly, fortunately it was not yet rush hour and the road was empty, otherwise they would have been reported to the police.
But judging from the excited expressions on these thugs' faces, it can be guessed that the woman inside is indeed a beauty.
Suddenly, the thug standing at the outermost edge of the alley felt a pat on his shoulder and immediately turned around vigilantly, only to see a handsome face before he knew nothing.
One hooligan fell, and thousands of hooligans will stand up. This famous saying is not spoken in vain. As soon as this hooligan was knocked down by Ling Fei with a brick, the several hooligans in front immediately reacted, shouted loudly, and turned to attack Ling Fei.
Ling Fei shot out her hands like lightning, grabbing the ears of two thugs and slamming their heads together with a dull "thud", sending them crashing to the ground.
Inside, Xiaoqiang and another man also felt something was off, squeezing out of the crowd. A sharp-mouthed, monkey-cheeked man with a sly glint in his eye looked at the three thugs lying on the ground, knowing that Ling Fei was not here to make friends. He looked at Ling Fei standing calmly and said in a low voice: "Brother, where are you from? This isn't right, is it?"
Ling Fei curled his lip, took a glance at the densely packed crowd, and couldn't see the woman inside, guessing she was being held up. Without another word, he said, "You guys continue, I'm here to rescue the beauty."
