Chapter 33: Deserted Island Adventure (Part Two)

  Lin San squatted down and helped Gu Jialan up, putting the leaves to Gu Jialan's mouth. The rainwater slowly slid into Gu Jialan's mouth.

  Gǔ jiā lán greedily sucked up the rainwater from the leaves.

  "Drink slowly, don't choke." Lin San said softly.

  Gujalan drank the rainwater and his complexion improved significantly. He let out a loud breath and slowly opened his eyes.

  "Ah, Miss Gu, you're awake." Seeing Gu Jialan open her eyes, Lin San's heart was instantly filled with joy.

  "Where am I?" Gu Jialan opened her eyes and looked around.

  "Oh, we are in a cave on a deserted island." Lin San said hastily.

  Gu Jialan turned her head and looked at Lin San: "You saved me again."

  "Hehe... I'm your security guard, saving you is my duty." Lin San said with a chuckle.

  Gu Jia Lan gazed quietly at Lin San, her eyes showing a complex expression.

  "Miss Gu, what's wrong?" Lin San asked with concern as he saw that Gu Jialan was a bit off.

  Gujalan shook his head: "I'm fine, just a bit of a headache..."

  "Miss Gu, let me help you up and warm yourself by the fire." Lin San said as he helped Gu Jialan to her feet.

  Gujalan glanced at the fire and exclaimed in surprise: "You lit it?"

  "Yes, I just so happen to have a lighter on me, waterproof and still usable, so I found some dry branches to light up for warmth." Lin San explained.

  Gujalan leaned against the cave wall, feeling the warmth of the fire: "Lin San, we need to think of a way to get out of here quickly."

  "When I was picking up the withered branches, I had already surveyed this deserted island. The geographical location of this deserted island is extremely remote, and there is no sign of human habitation at all. I reckon that normally nobody would come to this deserted island." Lin San furrowed his brow.

  "Right, I have a mobile phone, can call for help." Gu Jialan's eyes lit up, and she reached out to search her body, finally pulling out a small, exquisite red mobile phone.

  "Then you go try." Gu Jialan handed her phone to Lin San.

  "Wait for me for a moment, I'll be right back." Lin San took his mobile phone and ran out of the cave.

  After a while, Lin San returned to the cave.

  "What's up?" Gu Jialan asked with an expectant face, looking at Lin San.

  Lin San shook his head: "There's no signal outside either. It seems that this deserted island is more remote than usual."

  Gujalan's face showed a look of disappointment: "What can we do? We can't make an emergency call, and no one will come to rescue us."

  After a long silence, Lin San broke the silence: "A road will always appear before a mountain, we will definitely leave this deserted island safely. For now, the most important thing is to take care of our bodies and wait until our injuries heal, then think of a way to leave here."

  Gujalan nodded slightly and said helplessly: "It can only be like this for now."

  "Miss Gu, are you hungry? I'll go find some food," said Lin San.

  "Food? What kind of food could there be here?" Gu Jialan asked.

  "I don't know, let me take a look," said Lin San. "Miss Gu, wait for a moment, I'll be right back." After finishing speaking, Lin San stood up and walked towards the outside of the cave.

  "Be careful."

  Lin San smiled: "Miss Gu, don't worry, I'll be fine." After finishing speaking, Lin San bowed and walked out of the cave.

  After Lin San left the cave, Gu Jialan slowly took off his clothes and hung them on the fire to dry. After they were almost dry, Gu Jialan put them back on and leaned against the wall of the cave, quietly waiting for Lin San to return.

  Time passed bit by bit, and before he knew it, night was falling, but Lin San still hadn't returned.

  At this time, Gu Jialan's heart became somewhat anxious, secretly worrying that Lin San might have encountered danger.

  After waiting for a while, Lin San still hadn't returned, and Gu Jialan couldn't sit still anymore. She slowly got up with the support of the cave wall, intending to go outside to look for Lin San.   Outside the cave, a sudden and urgent footsteps sounded, followed by Lin San carrying two dead rabbits into the mountain cave.   Gujalan shook her head: "I went to university at the Royal College in the UK, and during my four years there, the college never held any summer camps. Occasionally they would take us on trips to museums or aquariums for observation and learning."
