Chapter 16 One Mans Work

Chapter 16 One Person Working Alone

A door opened in front of Jin Hu, and he was immediately stunned by the scene before his eyes. The entire space was a large passageway that could accommodate three trucks side by side, with three glowing plates on the top and sides at intervals of several meters, illuminating the passageway brightly. The walls around were made of unknown materials, emitting a faint blue glow, giving Jin Hu a feeling as if he had entered a science fiction world.

While Jin Hu was stunned, a floating cool car-like thing floated over, and a long triangular-headed robot with two eyes on it said to Jin Hu: "Commander! Please get on board!"

Jin Hu looked at the transparent cover on the car opening, and crawled in with his hands and feet. Then he found that No. 1 was still standing below and asked: "No. 1! Why don't you come up?"

"I don't have permission to enter the command cabin," Number One replied.

Jin Hu thought for a moment and said, "I allow you to follow me!" As soon as he finished speaking, a platform extended from the car, and Number One climbed onto it. A transparent canopy came down, and Jin Hu only then felt that the space was a bit cramped, making him sit uncomfortably.

The lights around flew rapidly towards the back, in less than a minute, the car stopped in front of a tall iron gate.

Jin Hu got off the vehicle and followed No. 1 to the front of the door, which slowly opened with a metallic sound: "Commander Byakuya, boarding!!"

As the large gate slowly opened, Jin Hu saw an unforgettable scene: more than a hundred robots were staring at him, their right mechanical arms uniformly leaning against the left side of their bodies. In the center of the entire hall was the metal chair that had appeared countless times in his dreams, standing out from everything else by a big margin, clearly holding a unique and singular position. A few meters away on either side was another chair of the same size.

"Commander, please return the courtesy," reminded Jin Hu.

Jin Hu looked at No. 1: "How to return?" No. 1 fiddled with Jin Hu's fingers, and soon Jin Hu understood, thumb and palm forming a ninety-degree angle, the tiger's mouth of the right hand facing the heart position was fine.

Jin Hu returned the courtesy, and all the robots began to bustle about. Number One led Jin Hu to the high platform, and when they reached the chair, Jin Hu plopped himself down without needing Number One's prompt.

He shifted in his seat a couple of times, and Jin Hu felt that the chair was a bit small, pinching his own butt a bit uncomfortably. Just as he was about to complain about the chair, it began to adjust itself. Two seconds later, Jin Hu's butt felt comfortable again. He looked up at the surroundings, which were all lower than him by a big margin, and his heart swelled with pride: "Ah, we've finally got our day too!" No wonder the emperor's throne was always higher than everyone else's! This is indeed majestic!

He put both hands on the wide armrests: "Damn, it's so comfortable!" As soon as the words fell, a faint blue light appeared in the palm area, and more than a dozen transparent screens of the same color appeared in front of him. Fortunately, they were all in Chinese, and Jin Hu looked like he was still fine.

"Commander! The Byakuei warship is requesting activation!" A mechanical head stretched out a long distance towards Jinhu.

"Let's go! Let's go!" Jin Hu said with a swing of his leg and a wave of his hand.

"Flight officer! Power officer absent! Unable to start, please commander appoint flight officer and power officer!"

"Damn it!" Jin Hu looked at the room full of metal heads and cursed, then turned to No. 1 and asked: "Can you do something official?" With only two subordinates, Jin Hu's bandit leader mentality was already showing, using people only for personal gain, and No. 1 had actually brought himself over, this theory of rewarding merit would not work, or else how could he bring his younger brother along.

"I don't have a module," then pointed at the robot with three eyes below and said, "The humanoid Type C can."

Jin Hu looked and pointed at the two robots with three lenses on their heads, saying: "You two, you are the flight officer, you are the power officer!" After the appointment, when the two robots walked over, Jin Hu found that they didn't have caterpillar tracks under them, but rather feet like humans, with metal toes.

"Power system energy insufficient! Backup power cannot be connected! Suspected damage"

"Flight systems, inertial dampeners offline, magnetic shielding grid inoperable!"

Jin Hu's two younger brothers, whom he had just promoted, were repaying him like this. Jin Hu furrowed his brow as he stared at the screen in front of him, which had quickly changed from a light blue to yellow and then rapidly turned red. As he gazed at the sea of red on the screen, with countless warning messages flashing before his eyes, Jin Hu was left speechless: "Damn it! Are you guys trying to play me to death?!"

Felt depressed for half a day, and finally came to realize: "Is there any solution to this situation?"

  "Energy!"

  "Energy!"

The two little brothers who had just been assigned by Jin Hu said in unison.

"Alright! Where can we find fuel? Can this ship run on gasoline?"

"No fuel is used; the warship uses solid energy. You will see available energy on your screen," said Lieutenant Commander Jin Hu.

The screen in front of him finally got rid of the all-red screen, and one by one usable energy was projected onto Jinhu's screen.

After a glance, Jin Hu knew that there were only two kinds: crystal and diamond. The rest, such as secondary crystal, five-faceted crystal, and other messy things, he had never even heard of.

"Alright! Then you tell me, where did you get all this stuff from? I only know of two kinds, crystal and diamond!"

"There's enough energy on this planet for a mid-level Five-Ton Crystal!"

Jin Hu was overjoyed upon hearing this "What are you still standing there for? Hurry up and dig!"

"Medium-grade ore requires a mining drill to process, but we don't have one and our current energy isn't enough to manufacture one."

Jin Hu thought for a moment and asked: "In other words, the only ones that can be used now are diamonds and crystals? How much energy is needed to manufacture a mining machine?"

"A batch of about five tons of diamonds or two thousand tons of crystal, in order to maintain the balance of energy, it is best to mine three batches first."

Jin Hu was taken aback when he heard that there were five tons of diamonds, thinking to himself that diamonds are usually measured in carats, but here they're talking about tons. With five tons of diamonds, he'd be set for life. Fortunately, crystal could also be used, although it was a bit more expensive, but compared to diamonds, it was still acceptable. It seemed that the first comparison would have to be made on Earth.

"I've thought of a way to make some money quickly," said Jin Hu, "let's find two people to follow me to Earth and see what we can do. First, let's get some energy, then we can talk about it later. We need to be in high spirits, run fast, and know how to use weapons! And the firepower on our ship is quite fierce, right?" Jin Hu thought of three ways to make money quickly: first, sell powder; second, sell arms; third, rob a bank. The first two options didn't seem suitable for Jin Hu at the moment, as he had no goods or connections. Only the third option seemed promising! Banks wouldn't run away, and they stood still every day. Even if it was in their own country, big banks were always crowded with people, making it impossible to escape after robbing them. Moreover, the money wasn't even worth that much. It would be better to rob a bank in America, where the money was more valuable. Countless Hollywood movies had provided Jin Hu with a good model for his idea, and he thought American banks were worth robbing.

"Armed infantry has no energy activation! Now your request can only be reached by yourself, now the ship is all service robots, cannot reach your request!"

Damn it! Jin Hu almost spit out a mouthful of old blood: So you all squat here, and let me, the commander, do the work? Looking at the metal heads around him, Jin Hu thought for a moment: This is also true, based on what he had seen so far, these robots walked neither fast nor slow, even if they robbed a bank, an old man could catch them, it's not worth bringing them along.

Just thinking about having to find so much money on his own made Jin Hu a bit anxious, he stood up from the chair: "If there's something to report, speak now; if not, then withdraw!" If he was going to do hard labor, he might as well show off with language first.

"Commander! Your internal protection source system is unable to provide you with sufficient protection, you can go to the medical bay for a replacement!" The newly appointed power officer suggested.

Finally, there's some good news. Jin Hu thought about the changes in his body over the past month and was sure it had something to do with this person's protection source system, so he became happy: "Hmm! I know, Number One, take me!" He turned his head to look around: "When I'm out, don't slack off! When you really have nothing to do, Flight Officer, organize a team and bring some pickaxes, shovels, etc. to dig up some energy mines, it's not like we're going to lose anything!" As soon as he thought about himself going to work while these people had nothing to do, Jin Hu was filled with resentment.

"Commander! Their forms can't withstand the outside. If they go out, you'll have to produce some more to replace them in under five minutes," Number One said.

Jin Hu was taken aback: "Forget it, let's pretend I never said that." He waved his hand at Number One and walked towards the door.

Just out of the gate, another sound came from inside: "Commander Byakuya Kuchiki, exit the cockpit!"

Jin Hu turned his head and took a look at what was behind him. This formation was indeed satisfying, but it made this commander work alone, which was somewhat unpleasant.

Sitting in a small vehicle with No. 1, they arrived at an iron gate entrance. Upon entering, the entire space was empty, with a metal table surface and five or six robotic heads, each resembling the shadowless lamps found on hospital operating tables.

"Come over here!" a robot said to Jinhu.

According to the robot's request, Jin Hu put his two palms up on the table, and soon a mercury-like substance emerged from his palms. After it was fully out, it formed into a metallic sparrow egg that Jin Hu had seen at the construction site before.

A smaller pale golden pellet was placed in Jin Hu's palm, and as he looked at it slowly dissolving into his body, he moved a few times: "Isn't there any difference?"

"Storm Type 7 can protect your body and brain faster and better, the reception of training mode is also faster, please follow me to provide you with sufficient protection."

Followed by a spotlight to a transparent door, the door opened, and it was a spacious empty room.

Something like an octopus was clamped onto Jinhu's head, at first Jinhu was a bit bewildered, but after two minutes he was ecstatic. The tentacles stretched to Jinhu's various joints and then moved his body, unleashing a series of powerful moves, a complete set of combat skills.
