As expected, this pce is well guarded. Every entrance has guards and as far as I can tell, the windows as well as the many skylights are enchanted. I can’t tell what sort of enchantment they have, but realistically there are only so many enchantments one would be willing to put on a window. Ah, the entrance ceremony? It was what I expected. “Welcome, we have a long history, we’re super famous, don’t get us in trouble.” You know, the whole nine yards.
Looking at the students, a few of them looked like troublemakers, but maybe they just look like that. Let’s not be so quick to judge people. They could be like a nice biker who likes kittens, or like that alien back on Earth who liked making sandwiches. What a great guy. I miss him. That aside, many of the commoner students looked overwhelmed by everything. I know that I shouldn’t stick my nose into other people’s business, but I should try and help them if they need it. As for the nobles, they look dignified and proud to be attending. Looking at their behavior alone, it’s hard to tell that everyone here is so young. Let’s do our best to fit in!
…
With the ceremony over, we were given our schedules. Rather our names were written on a rge board under cssroom numbers. A few students had trouble reading them so I gave them a little help and suggested that they use the library if they need to study or practice reading. Moving along, I headed to my css. Unfortunately me and Charlotte had different csses, so we parted ways. Given that I don’t know many people, I’m not likely going to have friends there. On the other hand, it looks like I’m going to be in the same css as the Regent Twins, so that’s good. I wonder if we can become friends?
Entering the css, I found that I wasn’t the first to arrive. It seems like it is that girl from before. The one who I rescued from the kidnapper. I hope that she won’t mind it if I went and said hi…

Oh god! Oh fuck! She’s walking towards me! Why so early in the morning!? Is she really going to bully me already!?
“Greetings.” Evelyn smiled, giving me a small bow.
“G-goodmorning…” I stammered.
Why!? She’s just a kid! How can I be so intimidated!? Why is she so tall!?
“It looks like we’re going to be sharing a css together.” She smiled. “My name is Evelyn Eytell. May I ask yours?”
“!?” No! I can’t answer that!
If she knows my name she can go after my family! I can’t tell her. I- Wait.
“I- I’m Nissia Carter.” I said, before hastily adding. “Lady Evelyn.”
“Why hello, Lady Carter.” She once more bowed. “I hope you treat me well.”
“Y- yeah…” I said.
Is she really evil? She doesn't seem evil… No, she is the viliness. I need to be careful around her. Maybe she isn’t evil yet, but she will be in the future. Seeing that I wasn’t saying anything, she took her leave and headed to a seat near the back. It was the type of behavior that a troublemaker would do… Let’s keep our distance from her…

I think that went well! I say that, but she seemed troubled by my presence, so I excused myself. Taking a seat in the back of the lecture hall style cssroom, which got higher the further back you got, I had a good vantage spot of the css. If anyone tried anything, I could easily see it. That being said, it’s not like I can do anything about it unless I transform. For now, let’s check to see that everything in my bag is in order. This morning one of Uncle Aaron’s servants did slip something in my bag, so I’m curious to see what it was.
Opening my bag, I saw normal school supplies as well as a small unassuming box with a note tied to it. Taking it off, it said; “For my dear niece Evelyn, use this in an emergency. I will deal with the aftermath.” What could that mean? Opening the box, I saw a pair of silver brass knuckles. Oh… They seem to be enchanted as well… Ah, more people are coming in. Now isn’t the time to be messing around in my bag. Tucking the note in the box, I put my bag under my desk within easy reach. Hopefully I won’t need those.
…
As the students came in, many already in friend groups, few made their way to come talk to me but it was only pleasantries. Some looked embarrassed and others were intimidated. It seems my reputation is worse than I thought… Maybe I should work on changing that. Eventually. Despite my thoughts, the Regent twins entered. That’s odd. I thought for sure that they would have their retinue with them. Dang. I was kind of relying on them to act as buffers if anything happened. Looks like I’ll need to repn some things. Wait, no time. The teacher just walked in.
He was a tall man with short green hair and green eyes. He was fit and looked stern, but was no match for Uncle Aaron. As for his clothes, well, he looked the way an old professor would dress. He even had some gsses. I wonder if they were for decoration?
“Good morning css.” He said. “My name is Robert Hopkins. You may call me Mr. or Sir Hopkins. I will be your primary teacher for your time here.”
He pced a book bag at the desk in the corner of the room, and walked to the lectern that stood at the center of the css.
“Now, I know that this may come as a shock, but not everyone here is a noble.” He said looking over the css. “Regardless, when you are here, everyone is equal. No using your status to intimidate your peers.”
Did he just gnce at me?
“If anyone has a problem with that, feel free to leave right now.” He said.
Who exactly would do that? Even though we are kids, this school costs so much money to attend. Not only that, but it is famous even outside the Empire. Of course we are all going to stay seated! Seeing that none of us moved, he nodded.
“Good.” He said before continuing. “Now that that’s over with. Today is going to be an easy day. Get to know your cssmates as well as this school. Later on you will have a fitness exam and be tested for your magical type.”
Excited chatter broke out among the students as they all wondered what type of magic they could use. Actually, it was more like they were wondering how strong their magic would be. After all, most people have magic that fits their physical appearance. Take Mr.Hopkins for example. He had green hair and green eyes, so he most likely uses nature magic. Maniputing pnts and such. It seems innocent, but in actuality it can also make various poisons. Like all magic, it is neither good nor evil. It simply is. It depends on who uses it that makes it good or evil. That being said, not everyone sees it that way.
Some people see magic as only good or evil. The most well known examples are light magic, also known as holy magic, and dark magic, sometimes called demonic magic. Light magic is most famously used by saints and known for healing. However outside of medical institutions, torturers are most commonly users of light magic. According to Uncle, the best way to get information from someone is to bring them to the brink of death, and then heal them. Once they know that they won’t be allowed to die, they spill all their little secrets just for a chance of death. Wow, that got dark fast. Why did Uncle tell this to a ten year old? Oh, and for darkness users, they mostly work in theater for special effects. Anyways, magic depends on the user and so on and what not.
Also, I wonder what my magic will be? My hair and eyes are dark, so I might get darkness magic. In all honesty it’ll be very helpful when I’m working for Uncle, but it’ll probably make me look worse to others. As much as I don’t want my reputation to get worse, there's not much I can do about it if I get darkness magic. I just hope that I don’t make Uncle Aaron or Charlotte look bad…
As Mr. Hopkins finished expining what our first day would be like, students were already talking among each other. No one sat next to me, so I didn’t have anyone to talk to. It’s okay. I’m prepared for this. Reaching into my bag I pulled out a book and started to read. There was nothing special about this book. No secret orders or info on any other students. It was just filled with simple fairy tales that I enjoyed from some time ago. Let’s spend our time reading…

With various students gathered around us, I wanted to compin. It was obvious that these people only wanted to be near us because of our status. Luckily Lloyd seems to be dealing with most of them. That leaves me, Teddy, Andrew, and Scott to deal with the stranglers. Oh and before I forget, those three who I just mentioned are our friends. Teddy Savoy, Andrew Wesker, and Scott Rowan are all of the Marquess rank, and set to inherit the title from their parents. Yes, they are a bit low when you compare them to the viliness, who currently holds the title of Duchess herself, but given the fact that there are three of them who are backed by the Regent heirs, they are quite powerful themselves. None of them are reincarnated like us, but they are smart for their age, so we should be able to use them to contain Evelyn.
Speaking of her… Gncing behind me, I saw her sitting in the back of the css by herself. Looks like her evil deeds are already coming back to bite her. From the looks of it, no one is so much as daring to look at her. Serves her right. I turned back to the crowd and suppressed my sigh. It seems that more people have joined in the moment I looked away. Looking at Lloyd, I saw that he was surrounded by girls. Looks like he’s going to be popur. Okay… Let’s get this over with…

Looks like it’s time for our tests. Although I’m worried about our magical test, I’m excited for the physical test. Being able to run around after being stuck in css is going to be so great! With the css leaving the room, I waited to go join them. Alot of them seem uncomfortable with me, so I didn’t want to cause them distress by jumping in the middle of them.
“Lady Eytell.” Mr. Hopkins called me.
“Yes.” I said, waiting to join the css.
“I am aware of your past and health issues, so there is no need for you to join in the physical examination.” He said. “We’ve prepared a pce for you to stay out of the sun.”
Ah.
“I-it’s fine.” I said. “I can participate.”
“No, we wouldn’t want you to feel unwell on your first day. You should rest.” He strongly recommended.
“I understand…” I said.
Okay. Let’s not cause them to worry. Taking my pce at the end of the line, I followed the css to the field where Mr. Hopkins pointed out a shaded spot. They set up a chair, so that’s nice. At the very least, let’s cheer on the css.
…
Having been separated from the css, before even the physical exam ended, I found myself in the headmaster’s office. With a small obsidian mirror on his desk.
“Please pce your hand on the receiver.” Headmaster Holdcroft said.
It seems that I am receiving some special treatment due to my past. Well, I appreciate it but I think this will only distance me from the rest of my cssmates. Still, they are trying to be nice, so let’s allow them to feel good about themselves. Doing as he said, I pced my hand on the obsidian… Huh? Nothing’s happening? Do I need to do something? Maybe I didn’t put my hand on it hard enough. Lifting my hand, I pced it down on it again… Again, nothing happened. What if I try pushing magic into it…
Huh? Why can’t I feel anything? Pulling my hand back, I look at it and try my magical girl powers. Yep, that still works, not that anyone else can tell. Looks like I can’t use this world’s magic? That’s odd. The spark rocks that I used- rather the magic ore that I needed magic to use. Aura and the doctors she had said that I could use magic, so why not now? Well… I suppose this will make helping Uncle Aaron more difficult. Also, good call on not testing me in front of others. It definitely saves me some trouble. That being said, I can’t use magic at a magic academy… So, what’s the pn?
