Almost right off the bat I found my first element, which would be my most offensive element being

  Mythril, whole most would choose something like fire or lightning or something, they are useless

  without pre-existing knowledge of the elements full potential, and even knowing that it makes me

  aware that their potential for damage output pales in comparison to the damage Mythril can do If

  used right. Next up I need some for restriction and general crowd control, but it also needs to be

  common so I can attack my weaker opponents with it, for this I awakened the Ice element cause It’s

  the most convenient , now for my specialised one I have to be considerate here cause while I can

  always get the rest later they all have their uses to me currently.

  I have to choose between, the particle element, the string element, the portal element, the curse

  element, the nightmare element and the summoning element, the rest are too restrictive for my

  early development. Particle element is nice and all but there are way to many factors to consider for

  it to be a reliable trump card, the same goes for string so those two are out; nightmare magic only works when I have a pre-existing advantage and allows me to grow off of that too It can’t be my

  trump card, while having a summoned beast would be nice, developing it would be a hassle so no,

  leaving me with the curse element, if works similarly to mythril so that’s also a no-no, out of the

  bunch summoning seems to be the best option but it take too much to develop a summon who at

  the end of the day might end up just dying, alright then I’ll settle for the much more convenient

  alternative, the soul element, that allows me to manifest my soul animal and can even help me

  contract with beasts of the same animal type as my soul beast, I link up with that and detach myself

  from the awakening world.

  I spent a total of 5 minutes in there and the only element I was shown to awaken was the ice

  element which the rest of the people here seemed surprised about, as I thought they don’t believe I

  actually only awakened one element seeing as I have the blood of two people who awaken two

  elements per stage flowing through my veins, as a compromise I show the mythril element as well

  seeing as they have a rough understanding of it anyway and release the awakening crystal. “If you

  have anything to pass onto me leave it at my door before the end of the day, I will be leaving the

  household tomorrow night for my own personal development”, I say before I walk to my private

  section of the training hall and lock myself inside.

  For the next 4 hours I constructed two pairs of braces for my hands and feet that were hidden S rank

  grimoires and I made myself a storage ring that was able to store an amount equivalent to a high-

  rise building, after that I moved to the family forge and locked myself in there and began forging my

  armour and such. 9 o’clock the next day my stuff was ready, I had made myself light armour that was

  infused with powerful mana shields, the armour consisted of a silver chest plate over a light silver

  slim-fitted armour top with chain mail under my armour top, I also forged myself a sword that I

  could channel magic through, and it by it’s lonesome if used even only decently could strike down a

  mage as a normal person.

  I move to my room which seemed to have the richest mana in the household and began to cultivate,

  I only barely managed to get my elements to the entry level since I had less than a day to cultivate,

  even at that I had to use up a good portion of the mana I had saved up over the years, seeing as I am

  short on time I will have to settle for this and solidify my current base while I wait for my send off.

  Once it was 6 in the evening I broke my mediation, took a long shower and changed into my new

  permanent clothes, I wore a plain black T-shirt underneath all of my armour along with a pair of

  black leather pants and black boots, I wore sheathed my sword at my hip and wore my storage ring

  with a smile as I admired my developing form, I had already worn my braces under everything so I

  was worried about defence, but until I got my spells going I would have to focus mana techniques.

  Reader's P.O.V

  Adam stepped out of his room and was greeted with a plain white mask, a black coat like robe with a

  hood, a bag of what he assumed to be just under 500 gold coins and another bag of pure mana

  crystals for cultivation, there were over 1000 mana crystals in the second one, “So the old man

  actually does care about his kid... that or this is an overly trusting investment", Adam muttered with a smirk as he dawned the hood and mask before putting the bags in his storage ring and walking

  back into his room, he leapt out of his window and made dash across the court yard to the gate of

  the Mansion, he could see the guards on duty making light chit chat so he decided to leave them a

  little parting gift, As he ran Adam shot a wave of ice at the 20+ guards freezing everything but their

  faces, even the gate behind them was frozen, he then skid across the frozen ground and leapt over

  the Mansion gate, he ran for the streets and cut into a back alley not too far from the mansion.

  Adam cut into a narrow path within the alley and came out at a different portion of the dukedom,

  once he was out he did a quick scan of the area and made his way straight towards the exit of the

  City, if he was going to train, a city of any standard would only serve to make him lazy, he enhanced

  himself with mana to increase his sprint speed and made it past the city guards without them

  noticing, he then dashed the plain fields and into the forest.

  Two weeks Later

  Adam was meditating on a tree as he had burnt through his like 300th mana crystal, he had spent a

  good amount of it improving his mana techniques and enhancements but did not neglect his magic

  elements, he had already saved 10 spells for each element that he found to complex for him to spam

  continuously in a real fight and had built a solid foundation for all three elements, he had raised both

  his Mythril and his Ice elements to Basic stage 5 , his soul element however was improved to basic

  stage 7, though he had yet to actually discover his soul affinity he didn’t plan to until he was at least

  an intermediate mage, a feat that required him to get all three elements to the half intermediate

  level without making a useless foundation.

  Adam stopped his meditation and drew his sword to start practicing, while his swordsmanship was

  impeccable, he was still trying to balance all three energies of qi elements on his blade as he couldn’t

  do so as naturally as he could in his previous body, he worked on his basic swings with each

  elemental energy individually first, when he was confident in that he practiced balancing two

  energies and mastered all of the combinations till they became second nature for, now he was trying

  to master the balance of all three elemental energies the same way, he could already do it properly

  but he could feel something missing.

  He channelled the energies through his sword and began his basic swings, over time (2 plus days) he

  finally felt at ease with his basic swings, he wasn’t satisfied with the results until after almost a week

  of sword training, he then spent the next week mastering the various uses of his spells and applying

  them to his own style of swordsmanship ((BTW he uses a yukata blade just so you know )).

  I finish with my training and make my way back to the city, I’m not going to lie I’m surprised that I

  used so many mana crystals fr such meagre progress, even if I am supporting three elements I doubt

  only three would take up 345 mana crystals and still all be basic elements. I sheath my sword and

  began to stroll back to the city, after being out here for a month I cannot say I am surprised that the

  dukedom is failing, there are way too many magic beasts that have access to their primal nature

  running around they are too much of a threat to the Royal family to receive external support, From

  what I can tell now within a 15 kilometre radius of the City none of the beasts are above soldier rank,

  and even further out there are hardly any captain rank beasts that would be willing to leave their

  immediate territories.
