Episode 47: The Confession of Glass Shoes
"Uncle Li, is the bone soup done yet that you ordered the kitchen to simmer yesterday?"
Ye Xiu adjusted his crystal cufflinks as he walked down the stairs.
"Young master, it's ready now, less oil and less seasoning."
"Uh-huh."
Mo Si walked in: "Young Master, there is an important high-level meeting at 9 o'clock."
Her slender fingers paused, her thin lips pursed, and her beautiful eyebrows furrowed.
Mr. Li said, "Young master, shall I send the soup over to the young lady?"
"It doesn't matter."
Xiǎo Zhēn turned around and took the thermos from the servant's hand, his long legs striding as he walked towards the entrance.
"Go to the hospital first."
"Yes, young master."
"Nurse, do you know the name of the person who asked me to give you this note?"
"I don't know, but he's really handsome."
The nurse blinked her eyes, and Yu Luo looked at the unfamiliar words on the note in confusion - "Hospital lawn, don't see or scatter".
After hesitating for a moment, Yu Luo decided to go take a look. The gauze on her knee hadn't been removed yet, so she could only hobble along with the help of her crutches towards the hospital lawn directly across from her building.
The morning sunlight is the most beautiful, warm sunshine shines on the green lawn, where a group of children are chasing and playing.
Yu Luo stood under a big tree, looking around in all directions. Everywhere were some playful little kids and individual patients sunbathing, but she didn't see anyone who seemed to be the person delivering notes to her.
After waiting for over ten minutes, still no one came. Yu Luo was getting tired, leaning on her crutch and standing on one foot. She couldn't hold out that long, so she decided to head back to the ward first. Maybe the nurse had sent the wrong person after all.
Just turned around, heard the cheers of those little kids behind.
"Wow, what a big and beautiful kite!"
Yu Luo turned her head, following the children's line of sight to look up. In the sky, a huge butterfly kite was slowly flying towards her. As it got closer, she discovered that under the kite was tied a colorful thin rope, and at the other end of the rope was attached a pair of shoes - exquisite red crystal shoes. And this pair of shoes happened to be the ones she wore to the party that night.
"Do you like it?"
Yu Luo was so shocked that the kite flew in front of her, and a sultry voice sounded beside her ear, she came back to herself, one hand reached across her body, accurately taking off those red crystal shoes.
"Is it you?"
Nie Shao Tang casually tossed the kite string aside, and in Yu Luo's stunned expression, he stood opposite her, left knee bent, slowly kneeling down, palms open, and those exquisite crystal shoes were presented before her.
"Hello Miss Yu Luo, I'm Nie Shao Tang. Seven days ago, I picked up a pair of crystal shoes. May I ask, are they yours?"
"What are you doing?"
It was seven days ago, the night he took her to the party.
Yu Luo's eyes widened, his every move making her mind a complete blank.
Nie Shao Tang's lips curled up in a charming smile, he lowered his head, gently lifted her injured foot, took off her original shoes, and put on the crystal shoe for her, fitting perfectly.
A low laugh came over, Nie Shao Tang raised his head, meeting Xiang Yu Luo's astonished eyes.
"I've found you, my Cinderella."
