Chapter K: The Giant Elephant Crosses the River

Karu was indeed unlucky to the extreme.

Bandits on the wasteland, each dividing their own territory, those with weak forces can only wander around the most dangerous border of the wasteland, fighting for autumn wind, and also dealing with the regular siege from the Mongolian army.

Inside the wasteland, it's a different story. The vast and endless wasteland is the best hiding place, and the beastman army doesn't have the time or energy to clear out the goblins and cannibals in such a large area. So, the bandits inside the wasteland are multiplying like flies, treating the wasteland as their own paradise. Therefore, the goblin and cannibal tribes inside the wasteland are all composed of the bravest and strongest warriors. For someone like Kalu, who is physically weak and relatively old, the only choice is to leave on his own accord or wait for his fate to be killed by his own kind as food.

When the band of goblin thieves appeared, the withered grass on the wasteland blocked their follow-up troops, and Karu only saw two goblins who were scouting ahead as vanguards.

These two goblin bears obviously inherited the nature of the wasteland bandits, and as soon as they saw so many "Lolis" (PS: The meaning of "young girl" in Aeolian Common Language), their eyes immediately widened, and saliva flowed from the corners of their mouths.

The corners of the goblin's mouth have two vertical slits, and there are always shiny traces hanging on them. They are the products of slobbering and nasal mucus intertwined. The goblins will show this demeanor as long as they see their drooling prey.

The aesthetic views of all living things on the mainland are almost consistent, and this point does not produce a gap due to differences in race.

When the two goblins emerged from the tall grass, they walked with a big stride, and on the red earth under their feet, there was a white line that dripped.

Karu initially thought they were just two wandering goblin thieves on the wasteland, and when Karu was younger, he had also been like them, forming big or small gangs with his companions to roam around the wasteland.

Like Hakaaru, all the busy porcupine herders and skunk herders who were gathering their beasts also saw the two sturdy bear-like creatures, and their whips slipped from their hands to the ground.

Among the vassal tribes, their weakness is obvious. When facing an unbeatable strong enemy, these vassal tribes are often the fastest to collapse. These weak tribes can't even go on the battlefield, and apart from being logistics, they basically have no fighting spirit at all.

These weak and small races are also the pitiful insects on the verge of extinction in the Mongoloid race, even the snail-like cow-headed people among the Boers, the bear-like people among the Poles, although they are among the powerful races, but because of their own weakness, they are also becoming increasingly sparse.

It's strange that when they appear in front of a weaker and smaller race, they still like to show off their bravery.

Looking at the two bear-like creatures holding giant mallets, the hedgehog herders and skunks all had their eyes slanted like fighting cocks. Fortunately, there were only two of them, and the hedgehog herders who came to their senses picked up the thorny spears beside them, retreating while shouting loudly, hoping to scare away these two ill-intentioned robbers.

Kalur thought it was time for him to show his face, although he was at a disadvantage fighting two bear goblins at the same time. However, with so many hedgehogs and skunks around, Kalur felt that he could win this battle.

At this time, Karu's awareness was very high. His own Richard and several old bosses were so powerful, and they also had such strong panda warriors and Mastiff warriors following them. Karu felt that no matter what, he couldn't lose this coarse leg.

Although he didn't have a suitable club in his hand, Kalu still rushed forward with a withered tree branch that was beside him. He only ran half of the way before his heart sank to his buttocks.

The long weeds were brushed aside with a "swish, swish" sound, and a large group of bear-like creatures wearing tattered leather armor, carrying spiked clubs and holding coarse shields emerged one after another from the tall weeds.

The densely packed gnomes caused Karl's legs to cramp up.

The earth spirit tribe on the wasteland can coexist with the man-eating demons and divide the land, which already represents their strength.

Two goblin guards didn't give Karu a chance to open his mouth, the stick swung out with a "whooshing" sound and smashed onto Karu's ugly head.

With a dull thud, two gaping holes were smashed out of Karu's head, one on the left and one on the right. Karu immediately threw away the withered tree branch in his hand, covered his head, and felt that his head was suddenly dizzy, as if a bee had flown into his ears, buzzing loudly, and he couldn't hear anything else.

Karu felt that besides the big chunks of stuff gushing out from between his fingers covering the wound, there was something particularly sharp.

Spread out his hand and took a look, in the palm full of blue bloodstains, there was a wooden thistle.

That was just when Xiong Di Jing's nail-headed stick came crashing over and he swung it with too much force, causing it to break off.

Karlo suddenly collapsed, turned his head and ran away, leaving a long blue bloodstain on the soft red earth.

Karu didn't run for long before stopping, panting. The goblin didn't chase after him. Karu knew they definitely wouldn't give chase - with so many lolis and beast groups around, no goblin bandit would be willing to attack a fleeing man-eater.

Karu scooped up the dirt from under his feet and slapped it onto his forehead, finally stopping the bleeding.

A daze of confusion, the cold night wind slowly blew dry the bloodstains on his face, and Karu peeled off large pieces of dried scabs from his hair and face.

"Should I go after Guder to deliver the message, or should I save my own life?" Karu's brain was stimulated by the cold wind and he finally came to, starting to consider this serious question.

Karu decided that escaping with his life was the priority after careful consideration. With so many bear-like creatures, Karu thought that even if Good and the others came back, it would be hopeless.

Dragging his tired body, Karu arrived at the banks of the Sanggan River when it was already dark. Looking at the sparkling Sanggan River, Karu felt like crying. How hard it was to get close to a big shot, and yet he slipped away from him again.

That must be the lascivious party of the Kuma no Tejin on the red earth hill. Karu looked back with a little envy, lowered his head to search along the riverbank, wanting to find the vine boat left before.

The huge moon "Champa" hid behind thick clouds, the ogre's eyes were notoriously poor, Karu squinted and searched for a bamboo raft to cross the river, accidentally almost slipping into the water several times. The ogre was notoriously afraid of water, Karu covered his chest and sat on the riverbank.

He walked and walked but couldn't walk away, went back but couldn't go back. Kalu's big eyes were blurry with tears, dripping drop by drop, wetting the reeds in front of him.

When Kalu's blurry eyes lifted again, a group of black dots on the vast river surface were getting closer and closer.

Is it a ship? Kalu rubbed his eyes and felt that it didn't seem quite right.

Those black dots were getting closer and closer on the vast river surface, and faintly heard the sound of laughter and conversation coming from above. Karu lay in the reeds, frightened to death, not daring to move.

On the wasteland, for a lone man-eater, any living thing would be his enemy.

The surging waters of the Sanggan River, although in a state of winter hibernation, still had a very powerful current. The melting ice from the snow-capped mountains could toss any boat about. Kala, hiding in the reeds, discovered that the group of black dots in the water were like motionless boulders, slowly advancing forward no matter how turbulent the waters around them were.

The moon "Champa" quietly revealed a face from the cloud layer, the dark clouds in the sky floated slowly, wrapping around the moon's clear and cold light.

The "gurgling" sound of breaking through the water's surface grew louder and louder, Karu quietly parted the reeds in front of him, his two large eyes, still shining with tears, stared wide-eyed, even forgetting to breathe.

On the river surface, there were over a dozen huge wild beast heads floating, each with thick and sturdy noses pointing towards the sky, and on their broad backs sat countless robust Bameng chatting and laughing.

A huge halo of light, like a "champagne" shining brightly, dispelled the mist on the water and enveloped them.

The night on the prairie is cool as water, especially since the Sanggan River is still icy from the melting of glaciers. The steaming mist carries a chilling cold that pierces to the bone. Yet these Mongolian men are baring their broad chests, chatting and laughing with ease.

The giant beast walking in the water stepped onto the increasingly shallow beach of the riverbank, and its massive body finally emerged from the surface of the water bit by bit.

Karu stuffed his hand into his mouth, stifling his chattering teeth.

He saw a group of gigantic, terrifying long-haired elephants with bodies over five meters in length, covered in thick layers of long hair that glistened with silver droplets sliding off their slippery coats. The soft mud on the riverbank was marked with huge deep hoof prints. Looking at the spiral-shaped tusks protruding from the elephant's mouth, Karu almost went into shock.

These long-haired elephants were at least a dozen steps away from Kala, but Kala had already completely lost the feeling that there was still sky in front of him.

Gigantic long-haired elephants with wooden frames on their backs occasionally jumped down a group of sturdy and tall figures, Carlu estimated that those strong figures were at least twice as stout as him, the man-eating devil.

Good heavens! Who are these guys? Even the warriors of Orphen aren't this huge! Kalu was gasping for breath, his body trembling with fear.

"Obis Laichi! We've finally arrived at this godforsaken place!" A loud and rough shout brought Karu's dazed soul back.

A long-haired elephant gently bent down its legs as thick as Doric stone pillars, and two human figures slowly descended from the ear of the long-haired elephant that was like a windmill, from its wide nose.

One of them was slender and the other was robust.

Karu's eyes couldn't hold back the surging tears anymore, this voice was just too familiar.

What was once a nightmare is now called heavenly music by Karu.

"Master Richard......" Kalu exclaimed with a sob, suddenly standing up from the reeds and wailing loudly.

A group of tall, dark figures immediately closed in, the long knives in their hands gleaming with a moonlit sheen that made Karu's words abruptly cut off. These long knives were too terrifying, their curved blades having a fearsome arc, and the oppressive chill they emitted instantly turned the wasteland into an icy tundra.

"It's me, Kalu! Master! Lady Helen! I'm Kalu! Your cannibal slave Kalu!" Kalu jumped up and down, letting out a miserable cry like a slaughtered Gisa beast.

The dark figures that had gathered around stopped, Karu's chest heaved with tension as he crouched on the ground, staring in shock at the group of faceless Bimon beasts before him.

Too strong! Karu looked at the beastmen's arms and then at his own, he felt like a quail that had run into an ostrich nest.

A soft ray of light pierced through the darkness, Liu Zhen's hand raised the Night Pearl, and he appeared beside Luoke Carlu.

The fresh blood on Kalu's face made him narrow his eyes.
