Luke entered Lunaria's underground prison without any problems. The guards' level was not too high, so they would never be able to detect him. Evero Lunaris iy-state might not be able to detect him if he passed by them using his camoufge teique.
He slipped through the shadows and quickly reached the cells where some of the prisoners he had saved were being held.Looking at their expressions of desotion and uainty, he got an idea of ??how they had spent the st few days ihe prison.
Luke was about to tinue moving in the dire he already knew, where the cell where he had been held was. However, just as he was about to move in that dire, something caught his attention. They were small particles of light that were floating in the air, moving so uniformly that they had transformed into a river of light that flowed through the air.
"Divine power of light?" Luke said almost whispering.
Sure enough, the air in oion of the prison was filled with divine energy particles. This caught his attention, since wheered the underground prison, all the divine particles had suddenly disappeared. Luke guessed that this was because there was almost no natural light underground. The only method of illuminatiohose magic torches that were distributed at strategic points. But there were no divine energy particles around those torches; they were probably posed of atribute.
He followed the dire in which the particles were heading and soon arrived at a se of the prison that he did not know. Several cells exteo the side of the long corridor. The vast majority were empty. He looked closely and saw that the light particles emerged from a cra the floor of one of the empty cells.
"Is there a lower level in this prison?" He thought.
It was logical to think so, after all, this was the only prison in the a city of the Lunaris. Although they lived apart from the world within the sacred forest, and did not veside its territory, they had flicts with various species that attacked them regurly. More than ohey had been involved i wars with other tribes within the forest, and had eveered into bat with the human kingdoms, before signing the peace treaty that was still in force to this day.
Seeing the light ing from below, he could not help but think that perhaps he should have asked Zara for information about the prison! He had e without much preparation, partly because he did not pn to make any big moves, but also because he was in a hurry to see what dition the child he had saved was in.
He tinued following the trail of light particles, until he reached the most remote area of ??the prison. There, he could see that the cells were no longer empty. Groups of small children inhabited the damp, dark cells. The dition of the children was not very good. They had probably en in days, and they showed clear signs of weakness. The life force of some of the children was extremely low, if this tihey would probably only st a few more days before dying.
Luke approached silently, without deactivating the camoufge teique, so the little children in the cells did not notice his presence. He tinued walking to the pce where the light particles verged. He could finally see the little boy who had asked him for help that day in the spider queen's cave.
Flynn was sitting on the floor of the cell with his eyes closed. The light particles around him were entering his body at high speed. However, Luke noticed a peculiar detail, the divine light particles entering his body were not pletely absorbed. The light entered his body, but Luke could feel how Flynn expelled an invisible energy that he was not abs.
Curious, he extended his hand, putting it ih of the expelled energy. An arm sounded in his mind.
*Ding*
*ral divine energy has beeed*
*This energy be used tthen the system*
*Do you wish to absorb the surrounding energy? Yes/No*
Luke answered affirmatively without hesitation, and a rge su force immediately affected the ral divine energy that was floating around Flynn without dissipating, occupying a good part of the small cell. The system absorbed all the energy in just a few seds. After the process was plete, it did any warning. Perhaps the amount of energy collected had not been enough to cause any ge. However, Luke discovered for the first time that there was a way tthen the system.
"Syzy, what is this energy and how it strengthen you?"
*ral divine energy is energy that has been stripped of its attribute. In nature, suergy ot be found, since all divine energy has a certain attribute. This energy is the fuel that the system uses to operate, but the amounts avaible in reserve are not very high. By abs more energy, the system is able to increase its ability to influence reality. This is especially reflected in the development of new missions and the decrease in ued errors*
Looking at the rge amount of densed information that the system had provided him, Luke jumped slightly. Avoid errors? Was it referring to the usual bugs in the system? Luke was especially ied in that point, sihe irregurities of the system were frequent and annoying. He immediately inquired about it.
Luke hoped to get answers about the erratiing of the system, but the only answer he got was: *Error. No data*
Luke sighed. Obviously he wouldn't get the answers he wanted, at least not today.Anyway, he tio inquire about another doubt he had.
"Syzy, is the ral divine energy being purified by this child?"
*Yes, the particles of divine light are being separated into two parts by him. He is abs the light attribute, and releasing the excess divine energy. His mortal body ot absorb divine energy*
Luke raised his eyebrows in surprise. If a mortal body could not absorb divine energy, how could it be expihat both he and Zara could absorb and use it?Luke sulted with the system about it, but he did not get any answers.
"The reason why I cultivate divine energy must be because of the existence of the system, but… Zara?" He wondered uainly.
He did not know much about the Lunari queen's past, when he saw her agaiime he would ask her about it. Perhaps he could obtain new information that would help him better uand this world in which he had lived for more than a tury, ting all his lives.
Fly a presenear him and opened his eyes. He looked around in fusion, he had clearly felt that someone had approached him, but when he opened his eyes he found that there was no ohere.
He followed his intuition and looked in the dire where he felt there was an anomaly. Small particles of light began to gather in his eyes without him realizing it and little by little he could make out a figure that was being clearer and clearer.
The silhouette that noeared before his eyes was familiar to him. He would never fet the young human who had saved him and his brothers from suffering a horrendous death at the hands of the magical beast.Still with some uainty, he looked straight at the silhouette that was in the hallway, in front of his cell door, and said
"Is that you? I'm not halluating, right? Have you e to help us once again, sir?"
Hearing the childish voice of the little Lunari, Luke couldn't help but feel his heart soften. This poor boy and his siblings had e out of a terrible situation only to end up locked in this prison and on the verge of death. Thinking about this, Luke felt a mixture of pity and rage.
Seeing that he had been discovered by the boy, he deactivated the camoufge teique, appearing without disguises in the corridor of the underground prison.Seeing him appear, Fly a little heat in his eyes . It was him, he had really appeared once again to help them! Never in his life had he felt the affe of a stranger, most people only looked down on him for his orphan status. No one had ever cared about his well-being, not even the caretakers of the orphanage. Luckily he had his siblings, who were his true family and gave meaning to his existehey were his only ray of light in the darkhat was his life, a now, his entire precious family was locked in this prison, on the brink of death.
"I am surprised that you were able to discover my presence. Last time, in the Spider Queen's cave, you were also able to discover the existeny golem despite the fact that you do not possess cultivation. I must say that your senses are truly very keen."
Flynn ighe ents about his sensitivity. He was too excited to stop and think about it. He stood up so quickly that he lost his band almost fell face downwards. He steadied himself as best he could and quickly walked over to the door of his cell. Holding on to the bars, he looked Luke in the eyes. There was an indescribable firmness in those eyes. The little Lunari's eyes were not those of a child. They were full of vicissitudes, they were eyes that had seen all the bad in the world, ae everything they were still alive, without losing their shine. For a moment, Luke's mind began to wahere was a strange for the boy's eyes.
"Sir! Please help us!" "We have been unjustly imprisoned! My siblings will not be able to hold out much longer. We have en for days, the guards have only given us a little water to make sure we do not die too quickly, but spending days like this is torture. My brothers are small and their physical dition was not good to begin with. Please help us! I will do anything you ask me iurn!"
Little Flynn g to the bars and asked for help with all his being, his voice breaking from the g that had invaded him as soon as he began to pour his emotions into the words.
Seeing the small child dirty, hungry, g and begging for help, Luke felt a fire light up inside him. He was not made of wood, seeing the injustices of the world firsthand, his entire being loo do something about it.Still, he did not let his emotions take trol. Of course he would help these children, but he would do it without causing an i. After all, with the power he currently possessed, freeing these children from the prison without anyone finding out wouldn't be that difficult. He had promised Zara that he wouldn't cause any is, and he po keep his promise.
He put a hand on Flynn's shoulder and said with a smile. Don't worry, I'll get you out of here safe and sound.
Flynn tio sob, but a big smile appeared on his face. He felt that finally, the light had e to dissolve the darkhat enveloped him and his siblings.
Luke observed the situation of the cells. They had a formation engraved ohat worked like an arm. If he opehe cell door or simply destroyed the bars to get the children out, it would definitely alert all the staff that were present in the prisht now.
It was time to use some dark sorcery. Even though dark magic was frowned upon in the human realms and its practitioners were persecuted. Luke had no choice but to admit that it was one of the most useful branches of magecraft there was, mainly due to its practicality and multi-fun. For example, it could be used to gee bondage seals, but it could also be used to corrode aroy seals. The inscription that was engraved on these cells were simir in structure, even a simpler version, so dark magic could be used to undo the arm fun that was in a in this prison.
Without wasting any time, Luke took out some magic cores that he had obtained from the beasts of the forest, using his spiritual power he ground them aracted the power within. There was no other way, he currently hadn't had time to start increasing his mana level, and with the basia of his body he couldn't remove the arms from all the cells the children were imprisoned in.
He dissolved all the arms little by little, and theroyed the bars of the cells, allowing the children to go free. The children were in a terrible state and most of them could barely stand.Luke was deg what would be the best way to move them out of the prison, when Flynn, who had been standing indecisive at the side, finally made a decision and timidly approached Luke.He pulled at his clothes and said in a low voice
"Umm. Sir, the novice that you asked us to find for help… He has been captured and is also in the prison"
Luke turo look at the child, and listening to his words he remembered that he had iold them to find Elian for help. Luke hoped that the young novice could get in touch with the priestess who would surely not deny him her help.
Had the young novice been captured?
"Where is he? Since I am here I will also free him"
Flynn shook his head.
"I don't know. He was in that cell over there, but a few ho the guards came and took him away."
Luke looked at the cell Flynn ointing to, and saw only a rge pool of dried blood on the floor.Seeing the pool of blood, Luke had a bad feeling.
