Chapter 8: What is Silver Needle?

The shopkeeper of the pharmacy looked at Qianjiu as just an inconspicuous little girl, and was about to say something when he saw Honglian standing beside her.

Although Hong Liang was just a maid, she was also a maid of the royal palace, and her temperament and demeanor were not simple at all, so Xiao Er treated her with great courtesy.

"You two wait for a moment, Ill be right back."

The little servant went to find the shopkeeper, and Qianjiu saw the expression of the little servant and secretly felt depressed in his heart.

Shes the real mistress, okay? Okay, this mistress is too much of a failure, not even having one maid with any presence, she sighed to herself.

Hong Liang looked at Qianjiu Jiu and wanted to call Wang Fei, but suddenly remembered her instructions before coming out, so she coughed twice before asking.

  "Whats wrong with you, Xiaojiao?"

  "Nothings wrong."

The shopkeeper arrived soon and looked at the two women in front of him, guessing which one was a maid from a wealthy family.

"What brings the two young ladies here?"

"Ah-choo! Ah-choo!" Qianjiu coughed twice: "Its nothing major, I just wanted to ask if you sell silver needles here?"

The shopkeeper heard Qianjius words and looked at her with some curiosity before shaking his head.

"May I ask, miss, what is Silver Needle?"

Qianjiu suddenly felt as if something was stuck in his throat. Could it be that there were no silver needles here? That couldnt be, could it?

He took a glance at Hong Liang and pulled him aside: "How do these doctors usually diagnose illnesses?"

Hong Liang looked at Qianjiu with a puzzled expression: "Take his pulse and prescribe medicine."

Is that so? Doesnt that mean the Silver Needle technique hasnt been discovered in this dynasty yet?

In 1999, she suddenly felt a thrill in her heart, as if heaven had left her with a golden finger.

He glanced at the shopkeeper and said, "Shopkeeper, never mind if you dont have it. Can you help me gather some medicinal herbs instead?"

Saying so, Qianjiu took out a list that had been prepared long ago: "Just grab the medicine according to this."

The shopkeeper looked at the medicines on the shelf: Angelica dahurica, White Paeony, Pyracantha...

Moreover, there are still many medicines, including some Daqingye, Beidougen, Baishashecao, Gancao, and Zihuadiing.

They look like ordinary medicinal materials, and the shopkeeper wanted to ask more questions, when he heard Qianjiu say.

"These are what our master wants, if you have them here, hurry up and pack them."

The shopkeeper understood as soon as he heard this and thought that he was being asked too many questions. The medicine was quickly wrapped up, and the shopkeeper looked at Qianjiu.

  "How much does it cost?"

  "One hundred and twenty-one catties."

Qianjiu muttered a sentence, "How can it be so expensive?", and still called Hongliang to pay the money happily.

"Shopkeeper, send these to the Xiao Wang Fu."

After saying goodbye to Qianjiu, he took Honglian and left, taking a glance at Honglian.

"Red Square, where is the blacksmiths shop here?"

The iron shop, Hong Liang thought for a moment, then took Qianjiu to an iron shop.

"Xiao Jiu, this is the best ironwork shop in all of Kyoto. Are you here to have a silver needle made?"

  "Right, lets go in."

Carrying red buns, the shopkeeper looked at the two people who were dressed unusually well, and they were two girls. Such people rarely come, so he personally came up to receive them.

"What would you two ladies like to buy?"

Qianjiu walked up to the shopkeeper and said, "I want to order a pair of silver needles. Do you have paper and pen? Ill draw it for you."

The shopkeeper was surprised, but still led the two inside, laid out paper and pen, and Qianjiu began to draw silver needles on it.
