It cost him fifty-thousand system points to amplify The Green Plague ability! It was expensive, because the power itself was one of a kind, for a start, but also, it was a new ability that had never been amplified before! The cost wasn't light, but he had to pay for it.
The second thing that made it so expensive, was the fact that he amplified it by thirty-percent, rather than his usual twenty! This bumped up the price of the amplification process significantly, but he was enthralled to do so, because it was simply too expensive to use this ability otherwise! With a thirty-percent decrease of mana usage, The Green Plague ability would take seventeen-thousand five-hundred mana points per second to be used, at most, which certainly was cheaper than twenty-five thousand!
Timothy figured that this was the best way to spend nearly half of what remained of his system points. He was a mage, and if he was to survive as a mage, then he had to know how to spend less and less mana, even in the occasion where he had to crank his abilities up to the maximum! He had to be prepared before time, because if he spent half-a-million mana points in some battle, just to fight a few men, then the battle would've already been lost! He felt more ready now.
[45,500 system points remain in your sum,] The system beeped.
Regarding readiness, he did a lot of work ever since he landed here on the shores! He scoped the perimeter, made a den for the dragons, brought his slaves through the portal, and improved his own powers significantly! It was a productive day, and now he figured that it was time to hit the sea.
Although it has only been a few hours ever since he got here, he decided that he'd rather be with his friends right now. His slaves were to hang around here on the beach, to protect the dragons, that was their duty, so he could dip into the sea without worrying what would happen here on the beach!
“I'll visit the beach whenever I can,” He said to himself, as he beamed across the coral reef.
…
Timothy reconnected with his friends. His team had kept busy over the hours, because they helped the hundreds of fish settle in across the reef. It was slow, tedious work, but the reef was looking a bit more lively already!
On another note, Genta was dealing with the Grundus Blobs exclusively, and she wasn't in a talking mood, so he left her alone. She did say that it was going to take a couple of weeks to have the blobs bring the reef to the condition that she needed it to be, and considering that they had that conversation just a few hours ago, he didn’t bother her, as to avoid a quick spanking. She was an old, honed woman, and she wasn't tolerant.
Despite her not being so talkative right now, Timothy still noticed the few, minor changes that the blobs had implemented. For example, a good quarter of the reef was littered with dead coral, because life had been scarce around here for a while now. The blobs were chipping the dead coral away, removing it for good, and therefore making the reef healthier, and easier to navigate through!

The amount of precision these blobs had was unexpected. It would take so little damage to kill off a perfectly healthy piece of coral, but the blobs hadn't done any damage so far, as they removed the dead coral like they were the greatest surgeons to ever swim the seas! He was impressed, and he was more relaxed now, because it was a further affirmation that Genta knew what she was doing!
Anyway, the rest of his team wasn't as busy now, so he gathered them together, and pitched an idea to them. The concept of hollow mana channels has intrigued him quite a bit, so now, he wanted to figure out what else he could do with anything phantom related. He wanted to learn everything he could about the ghostly world.
He pitched, “Do you think it's about time we hit the sky, Skendus? We have to visit the ghost world at least a couple of times, because there's more to that world than what we understand.”
“Ghost world…?” Ortana remarked, “I keep forgetting that it exists.”
“Oh, it exists alright! I got my ass kicked the last time I was up there, so I didn't bother going again, but- bear with me here, we can learn a lot about mana, just by flying around and messing with a bunch of ghosts.” He explained.
“Your idea is enthralling, but it's difficult for the rest of us to enter the ghost world. The Atomic Shifter ability that you and I have, doesn't really let us communicate, or fight with ghosts, it just lets us travel freely in a ghostly form.” Skendus added.
“Oh right… you guys don't have the Explorative Soul ability.” He remembered, “That can be arranged, I think I can replicate the ability for you guys.”
“You've gotten that good, huh? You can create abilities for other people now?” Arvena asked, and she was quite envious of the other.
“I will try my best,” He said, oblivious of Arvena’s sour feelings.
Afterwards he pulled the aforementioned ability out of his body, and studied its contents. The ability featured hollowed mana channels exclusively, and this made it a bit difficult to replicate if, but luckily it wasn't a complicated ability itself. Its channels were easy to understand.
The channels looked a lot like the whiskers of the common house cat. Although he didn't understand the symbolism behind such a pattern of channels, he at least was capable of replicating them! He put the ability back into his body, summoned a blank essence to work on, and started pouring fresh channels of mana within the essence!
In no time, he replicated the ability, and had Skendus absorb it. Although they didn't know if it would work, the ability he absorbed felt like it was useful, and correctly built, so he didn’t challenge it much.
Timothy then replicated the same ability for Gustav, Arvena, and Ortana in no time, so now, they were all ready to hit the sky, where the most prominent features of the ghost world resided on! The most basic way to survive up there, was to fight, but it was also important to improve the quality of their phantomized mana as well, which was another reason why they wanted to hit the sky!
There was a lot to do in the ghost world, and they had little time to do it, but it was good that they wanted to get this process started to begin with! The team was ready to harass the ghosts across the sky, assuming that Timothy replicated the Explorative Soul ability correctly!
