Alberta: Lost province, largely destroyed during the Orc wars of 3247. Alberta capital city of Pfieldorf was abandoned, and its lands incorporated into the province of Wurtland.

  Alternate Earth: Alternate Earth is the name of a tabletop miniatures game depicting an Earth which differs from our Earth in one significant feature. A second moon of unknown origin entered Earth orbit some 3500 years ago in a highly eccentric orbit. This moon is pale blue in color and exerts a magical influence on the inhabitants of Alternate Earth. The game is a complex tactical battle game and played with plastic models on a user made scenic mapboard. Inhabitants of Alternate Earth include humans, dwarfs, elves, demons and other humanoid species.

  Badendorf: Capital city of the Empire. The Empire’s wealthiest city.

  Battle of Valdez Cavern: Decisive victory for the charismatic Orc Leader, Gorfiend, during the Orc incursions of 3247.

  James Blair: A young man in his final year of public school. James is an accomplished amateur astronomer.

  Kaiser Willhelm Fredrick: Ruler of the Empire. Willhelm succeeded his father, Gunther Fredrick upon his death in the year 3756, and has ruled the Empire for 20 years.

  Oakleaf Gilderwood: The world’s oldest and most powerful human wizard. Sir Gilderwood is the Patriarch of the College of Emerald Wizardry.

  Olden Reik Theatre: The preeminent Empire opera house, featuring the best performers from every corner of the land.

  Sapphire Wizardry: A magical doctrine based on the study of animals. The practitioners of the Lore of Animalia (as it is otherwise known) usually shun the civilized world and prefer to pursue their craft in the wildlands of the world.

  Stalsburg: The Empire’s second wealthiest city. Known for weapons manufacture. Located in the province of Wurtland.

  Trochenheim: Independent trading city with a navigable river to Badendorf, and to the Norgeland Sea.

  Wurtland: Southern Empire province, ruled by Empress Viktoria.
