It's been a minute since I've posted an update, but I promise that I've been busy working on this story in the meantime!
With all the amazing new friends following Callie on her journey, many have made some really good points about different parts of Book 1. They were so good, in fact, that I simply had to go back and make the edits. Book 1 is undeniably better for it, and I can say that I'm proud of those changes. All of those edits are denoted in the Author's Note for each chapter, for anyone curious.
If you do not want to go back and reread all of Book 1 (which is totally fair) there are two main plot changes that you'll need to know moving forward:
1. Callie's relationship with Alex: They begin as friends before it evolves into a romantic relationship.
2. Leo's Betrayal at the end (honestly it would be best to just reread Chapters 28 & 29): He sells her out to his father's company. Her bio-screen is deactivated because someone tried to hack it, and she has to meet with Leo's father to get it back up and running (so she's manipulated, but not exactly forced). At this meeting, Leo's father offers to develop her app in exchange for her working for his company and playing spy on the Organization. She agrees.
Unauthorized usage: this narrative is on Amazon without the author's consent. Report any sightings.
3. Callie's motivation at the end is creating her app to reach out to help people. This will be a major factor moving forward.
Now...with those changes to Book 1 (among others)...I started going through and fixing Book 2. In doing so, with the first chapter, I kept a whopping 250 words and rewrote the rest. It makes the most sense to take down Book 2 and repost as it's rewritten, especially becomes some of the chapters are going to be completely scrapped anyways.
Moving forward, updates will be on weekends! I hope to be able to build up to start post 2x per week, but life keeps getting in the way (like almost having to put my dog down, finally being diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, getting a new roof on Tuesday, etc.) so I can't make any promises that I'll get there before the summer.
And finally...thank you all so much for your patience! I know it's not easy sticking with a book when the author doesn't write and post new content. But I truly believe I made the right decision for the future of this series, especially as the trilogy is under contract to be published. I can't wait to share more details with you as it gets closer!
Tomorrow (Sunday, March 9) will be the first post of Book 2! See you tomorrow!
