“When you told us that 'animation' was a bunch of drawings simulating the movements of characters, I still couldn’t understand, but after seeing this show, the only thing I can say is, it’s awesome!” Torun said.
“What’s the title of this show again?” Andrea asked.
“It’s called Solo Leveling,” Blake answered his sister.
“Can we watch the second season?” Soren asked.
“The second season is still halfway completed, and I don’t want to watch it without the whole season being done,” Anton answered.
“We appreciate you allowing us to watch this show,” Torun said.
“It’s fine since I wanted to watch it anyway, and you all just arrived at the right moment.”
Anton and his friends then talked about anime and the different genres that were available for viewing. They spent a couple of hours just talking about animes, and it was mostly Anton who was sharing his favorite shows with his friends. Of course, he also showed them some trailers and video clips to excite them as a tease, and at last, he promised them that if there were opportunities in the future, they would watch some of them. After that conversation, Andrea said that they had to go, even when the three boys complained.
“We have to help our families in settling down!” Andrea guilted the guys, and Anton just smiled.
When his friends were gone, Anton saw that it was already four in the afternoon, and his family was still not back, so he went to his room and entered his Diablo II system to continue leveling up his character.
His Assassin character was already level eighty-five, so it would not be long before he reached its maximum level and hunted for the “Best in Slots” gear for the character. By seven in the evening, Anton’s family returned, so he exited his Diablo II system. His assassin did reach level eighty-eight, so that, at least, alleviated his guilt for not entering his system to increase his power during the past several days.
When Anton joined his family, everyone looked tired, even his sister and the other novice mages.
“What happened to you guys? Why do you look tired?” Anton asked his sister.
He could understand why his father and his harem, Antonia, Lucia, and Philip, were tired but not the novice mages. He still laughed a bit inside when he termed Selena, Belue, and Norma as his father’s harem. He kept that joke private since if he opened it up again, he might receive a beating from Anders.
Nevertheless, Anton thought that everyone already thought the same as him.
“We had to line up and schedule an exam and interview with the elite wizards of the ship. The Supreme Wizards announced that they would hold a wizard school on the Amelia, but the cost is considerable.” It was Frederick who answered.
“It’s fine. We can afford it,” Anders said, smiling.
Anton gasped when he learned the cost of the school and thought that the Norbunians did pay a lot of coins for those movies.
Stolen story; please report.
“I want to join too! I already told Frederick that I want to join classes about general magic, magical history, magical theories, and more,” Anton said.
“You don’t need to worry since the enrollment is extended for three more days. You can come in tomorrow to enroll in the classes that you want to join,” Frederick said.
After that conversation, they went to the dining hall to eat dinner since, according to Antonia, it was important to attend that night. While they were eating, Captain Robertson went to the dining hall stage. He made a speech welcoming those newly joined passengers from Norbuna and made some comments about the ship’s specialties that they could avail of. The captain specifically pointed out the cinema, and everyone cheered, not only the newly joined passengers.
Anton still underestimated the influence of the movies on everyone on board. After dinner, Anton was asked by his father that they would need to talk. He was curious what it was all about, but when they arrived at the suite and sat down at the dinner table, Nemina joined them, so he realized that the talk that he was dreading a bit was just business.
Basically, they wanted Anton to create a list of movies that the cinema would show for the whole year, and while creating the list, they wanted to join him so they would know what movies he would choose.
Anton agreed, but as consolation, Anders allowed Anton to go to the wizards' hall the next day so he could enroll in the classes that he was interested in and would do the list later this week.
After that conversation, Anton went to his room to rest. He felt exhausted that day, and by the looks of his family and friends, everyone felt the same. While showering, Anton thought of how many movies he would need to list, but based on the remaining travel time before they reached the Gale Continent, it would better for him to prepare at least thirty films.
Anton knew that creating the list of films would be a massive undertaking that could take days since he, his father, and Nemina would need to discuss a lot of things, and they might even have to ask the opinion of Antonia, Lucia, Walter, and Philip, who were brilliant businesspeople.
The next day, he joined Frederick and the other mages, going to the wizards’ hall to enroll in the classes that he would be interested in. It took him a short time compared to the normal wizards due to the fact of his rank as an archmage.
Even though Anton expected to be treated as someone unique due to him enrolling in classes that consisted of the basic foundation of a mage, his situation wasn’t that special. Many wizards like him gained power using non-standard magic, and of course, those kinds of wizards usually lack the foundation a normal wizard had, and usually those types of wizards would fulfill that lack when they reach somewhere where they could do so.
It was especially understandable in Anton’s case since Zalnothel, which was considered a wizard city and could fulfill the role of educating Anton, fell to the Undead Coalition. The wizards also understood why Anton chose the classes that did not include spell crafting theories since as a supposed “bloodline mage”, he had his own magic system.
The classes that he took would take him three hours a day, three days a week, so Anton still had plenty of time to concentrate on his own Diablo II system. Classes would start on Monday, which was a couple of days from that day.
The classes that he chose were History of Magic, Basic Magic Theory, and Magic Application. To be honest, Anton was interested in some of the other classes, but he didn’t want to bite more than he could chew. The classes would last a couple of months, and after that, Anton planned to choose other classes that he thought would assist him in expanding his magic knowledge.
Normally, after choosing the classes that he wanted to join, the teacher would want to interview the students who were interested in signing up for specific classes, and that was what Anna and the others did the day before; that’s why they were tired. They also had to do some practical exercises like casting spells.
The fact that Anton was a somewhat well-known archmage meant he didn’t have to do those things, which made him glad.
Just like him, the mages in the family chose to select lessons that would happen in the morning until lunch since everyone still wanted to practice their spell casting in the afternoon since it was still the most important thing they could do to increase their wizardly rank rapidly.
