After briefly recalling the cabin’s layout, Yun Yi led Princess Xiyue to the room where the administrator of Cabin B2582 lived.
"I’m busy. If this isn’t important, I swear I’ll throw you off this ship."
Before Yun Yi could even see who was inside, a loud, irritated voice rang out.
"Sorry…" Yun Yi pushed the door open and entered. The room wasn’t large, and he couldn’t see much of the interior, but the outer area was a small office of less than twenty square meters. A tall, burly man sat at a desk, checking a computer. When Yun Yi entered, the man reluctantly looked up.
The administrator paused for a moment. Perhaps it was Yun Yi’s demeanor, or perhaps it was Xiyue’s sweet and adorable appearance. Whatever the reason, the usually gruff administrator softened his tone and asked calmly, "What can I do for you? The ship is packed, and I’m swamped with work."
Yun Yi flashed a bright, sunny smile—a trick he’d learned from a computer tutorial and was now using for the first time. He gestured with his hands to draw the man’s attention.
"I’m really sorry to disturb your work," Yun Yi began, instantly earning the man’s goodwill. "Here’s the thing: my sister and I aren’t comfortable with the people in our current room. Could you help us switch to another one?"
"Hmm…" The administrator frowned. While there were still empty cabins, the ship was scheduled to stop at several planets in Iserlahn, and most of the available rooms had already been pre-sold. The reserved rooms were meant to be sold at a premium to wealthier passengers. In the administrator’s eyes, this young man seemed out of the ordinary, and the well-dressed little girl clearly wasn’t a commoner. Such people naturally disliked crowded spaces. But was it worth giving them one of the reserved rooms?
Seeing the administrator’s hesitation, Yun Yi quickly stepped forward and discreetly handed over two hundred dollars, careful to shield Xiyue from the transaction. He didn’t want to taint her innocent world.
The administrator’s eyes widened, and he swiftly pocketed the money, grinning broadly. "No problem! There are plenty of empty rooms. Hand over your tickets, and I’ll make the changes. A private room, right? You’ve got it. No one will disturb you until we reach your destination." Though he spoke casually, he was inwardly shocked. Most of the passengers were refugees with little to spare, yet this young man had just handed him two hundred dollars. For context, a ticket from Iserlahn to Tairsey cost less than a hundred.
"Tickets?" Yun Yi’s heart skipped a beat, but his expression remained calm. After a moment’s thought, he said, "That’s actually the second thing I wanted to discuss. You see, my sister is young and loves to play. She accidentally lost our tickets…"

The administrator relaxed, realizing the two hundred dollars also covered the cost of replacing the tickets.
After all, passengers were required to present their tickets upon disembarking. If someone couldn’t produce a ticket, they’d have to pay for a full fare from the ship’s starting point, which would be a hefty sum.
The administrator nodded with a smile. "No problem, that’s an easy fix. Just give me a moment. By the way, what’s your destination?"
Yun Yi had already studied the ship’s route. It departed from Nanjoist Star, near the southwestern border of the Lichma Federation, passing through the Shilfanst Empire, the Iserlahn Confederation, the Tairsey Republic, the Roderia Dominion, and the Meinlan Republic before crossing half of the Lichma Federation and returning to Nanjoist Star. The journey normally took two months. Most passengers were headed to Tairsey, with a smaller number bound for Roderia or Meinlan. A very few were traveling to the Lichma Federation, though it would have been faster to take a ship on the opposite route.
To avoid suspicion, Yun Yi chose Berick Star, the first planet in the Lichma Federation after leaving Meinlan, as their destination.
"Berick Star? That’s a bustling commercial hub. You’ll find plenty of good things there." The administrator connected to his computer and quickly issued replacement tickets—one adult and one child—to Berick Star.
This way, he could pocket most of the two hundred dollars without anyone noticing anything amiss.
After inserting the tickets into the wrist computer on his left hand and gaining access, Yun Yi allowed himself a small smile.
Leaving the administrator’s room, Yun Yi muttered to himself, "Prince Zhao’s advice really came in handy…"
With access secured, Yun Yi could now move freely within Cabin B2582. Leading Xiyue, he quickly found their assigned room and stashed their bags in the cabinet under the bed. The room and cabinet were relatively secure, protected by password locks that could only be opened with a wrist computer activated by the ship’s tickets.
Finally, everything was settled. Yun Yi let out a long breath of relief.
"Meow… Yun Yi, you liar! Xiyue is so hungry…" Xiyue pouted, clearly skeptical of Yun Yi’s promise to take her to eat immediately.
Hearing Xiyue’s complaint, Yun Yi felt the sharp pangs of hunger in his stomach. After all, he hadn’t eaten anything in three days.
Now that he had the tickets, Yun Yi felt a weight lift off his shoulders. Playfully, he ruffled Xiyue’s smooth, jet-black hair and laughed. "Let’s go get something to eat…"
"Meow…" Xiyue covered her head with her small, delicate hands, pouting as she followed Yun Yi, clutching his sleeve to ensure he wouldn’t leave her behind.
The interstellar train crawled slowly through the stars, picking up countless passengers at several planets in the Iserlahn Confederation. A month later, the ship reached the Tairsey Republic, where more than half of the passengers disembarked.
After shedding many of the empty cabins, the ship’s speed increased.
Another half-month passed, and the interstellar train finally crossed Meinlan and arrived at Berick Star in the Lichma Federation.
The original plan was for the two of them to stay on Berick Star for a while, waiting for the princess of the Shilfanst Empire to send someone to contact them. But a week after leaving the interstellar train, Yun Yi received news that forced him to change his plans.
