The man awoke the next day, ready for a new test. He wandered around his room of metal and thought about why they had the grapple test if they were working on testing human limits and not new technology limits. He couldn’t reach any conclusions, so he just decided to ignore it.
The man instead worried what the next test would be. Itecould use tools once again, or it could be something physical he had to do. He did not know and couldn’t find out unless he was super intelligent or the voice from the microphone telling him, so he waited. He sat down on the metal and waited for the microphone to come on.
The ringing started, and then the voice. “This next test is going to be dangerous. Some may even call it deadly, and it is very different then the tests you’ve had before, as it will be with other subjects. Your goal, to eliminate the others. It’s life or death in this test, and if you fail, you die. Good luck. By the way, we don’t care who wins.” The way of talking sounded more careless, and sad, most likely because this test was much different.
The man could not think about this though, since he was about to do the most dangerous test yet. The test would include other people trying to kill him, and he would try to kill them as well. There would only be one remaining winner, and he wanted it to be him, for survival.
He could not think nor prepare for the upcoming test, as a random wall in his room opened up to reveal a huge box, bigger than any of the other tests, and it was filled with things to hide behind, and weave through, or even just to hide behind.
Looking around, he saw a table with tools on it. The tools were labeled weapons on the side of all of them, and were like the grapple gun but without buttons on the side. There were triggers below the start of something that looked like the grapple launch tube, so he pulled it, and immediately it shot something out. It damaged the table, and went straight through it. It was a gun, with live ammo.

The man grabbed more guns and decided to use one that could shoot faster, and was slightly bigger than the others, an assault rifle. He walked out of the gate behind the table, into the arena where the other subjects were. The gate closed behind him, no turning back now. He wandered around the confusing maze of objects, and found another subject.
The subject he had found was dead. Someone had gotten there before him, meaning they must be close by. He continued on the path he was walking to find the subject, or man who had killed the other subject he found.
The man was fast on the trigger, and shot first. The man missed however and yelled in anger and frustration at his early lead in the fight. He began to run away after he missed, but he was too late.
The man aimed his gun at the other subject, and shot. Bullets came flying out extremely quickly, and soon they hit him. The bullet went through his back bones into his heart, and he was dead. His body fell to the floor, and bled out.
The man felt nothing when the man died, if anything he felt good. Good that one more subject was gone from his victory. He continued on his path, ready to fight again.
Deep into the arena, another subject that was much different from the man was hiding. The man was afraid and wanted out, and he screamed for freedom when he was first awoken in his metal box and the tests began. This subject had emotion, something that most other subjects did not, including the man with an assault rifle.
The man would scream out on and on in his cell for them to let him out, but they only continued the tests just like for the other subjects. He didn’t want to be there. He never believed them, and his life in the cell was much different. Much much different.
