I had no idea what I was thinking, cheating on the love of my life Alexis with Sarah. Sarah's not even that good in bed. She had been chasing after me for years but I never once looked her way because she's not my type.
Sarah normally comes over every Tuesday. As I looked at my calendar I groaned inwardly at the thought. I had been debating about breaking up with her and dealing with the weight of the guilt of betraying Alexis had been on my shoulders. I was bored and had one moment of weakness and Sarah took advantage of it.
The doorbell rang snapping me out of my thoughts. I opened the door and it was Sarah standing there grinning from ear to ear. She hugged me. "Hey baby, what's up?"
I grimaced at her pet name for me. "Please don't call me baby. You know how I hate that! That was part of the deal when I got together with you in the first place. As a matter of fact I've been thinking about going through with the other part of the deal…"
Sarah's eyes went wide. "You mean that the moment Alexis catches us cheating the relationship is over! Don't do that! Please don't!"
I tilted my head. "And why not? I was only with you because I was bored. I should've found something else to do instead of having sex all the time, but I was stupid. You have no ambitions because you come from a rich family and you're an only child so you're spoiled rotten. Alexis had her own company. She only worked the night so she wouldn't be disturbed with her job. Did you know she worked overtime only when she had to check up on her workers or have someone help her with an audit?"
Sarah shook her head. "No, but admit it. I'm better than her. I have more money than she ever did!"
"But having money doesn't mean you're smart! Ever since Alexis died-" I said.
Sarah cut me off, "Wait! Alexis is dead? When did this happen?"
"Apparently, it happened a couple of weeks ago. They found her body the day after she caught us cheating and kicked us out of her house," I answered. "She was hit by a truck and it sent her body flying across the road. They suspected foul play because they found her car in another city at a lawyers office with the battery removed."
Sarah gasped. But I continued, "Not to mention Alexis left some money for me and I was their number one suspect but I've been cleared. I got that call early this morning."
Sarah just sat there staring at me speechless. After a moment she said, "So what are you going to do with the money?"
I smiled. "I'm going to buy Alexis's company and keep it going in her name. I might even run the company too. It's the least I can do considering how I betrayed her."
Sarah scoffed, "Now you're feeling sorry? You could've stopped it at any-" She paused. "Wait… Did you initially sleep with me around the time that you knew she would be off work so that we'd be caught as soon as possible?"
I smirked and nodded. Once again she sat there gaping at me in silence. She composed herself. "What does that say about you?"
"That I'm an asshole," I said. "And I'm stupid to get together with someone like you. I should've never let you in that night to begin with. Not to mention you were willing to sleep with me regardless if I was with Alexis, so what does that say about you?"
"That I'm clearly better than Alexis. I can give you the attention you were craving. Alexis couldn't because of her job. What woman gets a job and neglects their partner like that?" Sarah said.
"It wasn't neglect that led me to cheat! It was boredom and those are two different things. You'd be tired too after working for over thirteen hours straight just to make sure your company doesn't go under," I sighed. "I really am an idiot."
"Aww don't beat yourself up about it. I have more money than Alexis could dream about! If we continue this relationship, I won't have to work. You can work whatever job you want and I'll be home taking care of the kids and-" Sarah rambled.
I shook my head in disbelief. "Whoa, whoa, whoa! Slow your roll! Who said that I wanted kids? Okay, I'm shutting this down now. Sorry Sarah, but I'm going through with other part of the deal. We've been caught and now we're over."
"You're making a big mistake here!" Sarah growled. "I'm better than Alexis in every way."
I said the one thing that would hurt her pride and make her hate me. "You suck at sex."
"What!" Sarah said.
"You heard me! You're not even good in bed! I probably would've been better off sleeping with a striper instead," I spat.
"How dare you!" Sarah screamed. She stood up and slapped me. The slap wasn't even that hard and I doubt it made a mark.
I laughed, "Wow, you can't even slap someone hard enough!"
"Just you wait, I'm going to prove that I'm better than Alexis in every sort of way!" Sarah sneered. "You'll regret dumping me just like you regret cheating on Alexis."
I snorted. "Yeah I doubt that."
Sarah didn't say anything else as she stormed out of the house and hopefully out of my life. But I would soon find out that having her out of my life would be nothing but wishful thinking.

"I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts, dee da lee dee!" I sang as I sat in my dungeon bored out of my mind. I chuckled. "Well, punishment isn't supposed to be fun."
It's been a few weeks since I died and went to Hell. Well, it makes perfect sense to me when you make it a point to make your enemies life hell while still alive. I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to get revenge on my cheating ex-boyfriend Ryan and ex-best friend Sarah.
I can be too kind for my own good and most of the time I want to see the good in people. But once I've been betrayed they go on my list and I get my vengeance one way or another.
When people that I truly care about betray my trust, it stings. It wasn't until after the latest betrayal by Ryan and Sarah I made a resolve to never care for anyone ever again. Every time I cared it hurt the worst.
"Where's the prisoner?" I heard a loud voice ask.
"Ugh, you mean that crazy woman?" One of the guards said. "She's in one of the dungeons down on the left."
I covered my mouth to stifle a laugh. Hey, it's not my fault that none of their punishments worked on me. I have no idea why that is either.
"Watch it! I am of a higher station than you and I expect you to treat me with respect!" The same loud voice said. I heard footsteps come near my dungeon and I saw a young man who looked like he just turned eighteen. He smiled a creepy smile when he saw me. "Let me introduce myself. I am the warden for this place and my name is Sam."
I snorted. "A human name for a Demon? Interesting."
Sam rolled his eyes. "Yeah, yeah whatever. And you should be afraid of me! Every prisoner here is!"
I tilted my head. "I don't know. I'm looking at you and I don't feel scared. Hell, I took a swim in the Lake of Eternal Fire and apparently it's supposed to be the worst type of punishment in Hell?"
Sam's eyes went wide. "Oh fuck! I've heard stories about you but I didn't think they were real!" He composed himself and cleared his throat. "Anyway, I've been given orders by His Majesty to send you to the Head Steward of this castle to get you cleaned up and looking presentable for an audience with His Majesty."
I rolled my eyes. "Fine."
Sam opened the door and I was put in handcuffs and led away. We walked down the hallway to what looked like a huge bathroom. Two maids came in and had a pair of clean clothes among other things to help get me ready to meet the King of Hell.
After who knows how long I was finally clean and my new outfit consisted of black jeans and a black t-shirt and no shoes or socks. I also had a black collar around my neck as if I were someone's pet. I wasn't bothered by the collar because I am a prisoner here so it makes sense.
I was led to the throne room and bowed as a sign of respect.
"You may rise," a male voice said. He sounded completely bored. I stood up and got a good look at the guy and he was hot. He looked like one of those Greek god statues that you would see at a museum. He had strong jaw lines, and even though he wore a tailored suit as part of his royal attire I could tell he had some muscles.
He mostly looked like a normal human guy sitting on the throne. He gave me an amused look. "So you're the woman who's been terrorizing my guards, huh?"
After he stepped down from the throne I noticed a pair of huge black wings coming out from behind him. He waved a hand in front of my face. "Hello! I know my wings are amazing but my eyes are right here."
I snorted. "Wow, bragging about your wings? I've seen better."
He scowled and snapped his fingers and I felt a surge of electricity go through my body and not in a good way. I stumbled backwards, groaning in pain. Once the sensation passed I laughed, "Aww did I hurt the big bad King of Hell's feelings? My bad."
"How dare you!" He said.
The next thing I know is I found myself doing a hand to hand combat match because the King of Hell lost his temper. I surprised myself about how well I was able to keep up with him.
"Would you two knock it off!" I heard someone else roar.
There was a flash of light that sent the King of Hell and I flying in opposite directions.
I heard another voice giggle. "See Mom! I told you she's perfect for all three jobs!"
"Ugh, being Julius's future wife isn't a job!" the other voice snapped.
"Well it should be considering his temper. Did you see how she was able to keep up with him in combat?"
I looked up when someone held out their hand to me and I took it to help get myself on my feet. The woman was beautiful. She looked like the female version of the King of Hell who I now know is named Julius. She had a crown on her head that was a smaller version of Julius's crown. She smiled at me. "Hello there young sinner, I am Queen Liala."
"Bella, seriously?" Julius said after he stood up. "Being my future wife isn't a job!"
I looked over to see a younger version of Queen Liala grinning from ear to ear. She looked as if she were a kid who got a really cool birthday present a day before their birthday.
"Like I said, it might as well be a job! You need to grow some thicker skin big brother," Bella teased. "You're the King of Hell now and you should learn to tolerate some negative comments. Someone making fun of your wings isn't a 'beat your partner up' offense."
I snorted and bit my bottom lip to keep myself from laughing.
"Alright jokes aside, let's get a good look at you," Queen Liala said. She started to circle me like a shark circling its prey. "Hmm, they definitely weren't feeding you well in the dungeons, which is to be expected. You're really underweight. And yet somehow you have big boobs and nice size child bearing hips…" She paused and tilted her head. "Were you human before you died?"
I raised an eyebrow and nodded slowly. "Yes, from what I was aware of. I was indeed human when I died. Why?"
"You have a very strong magic flowing through you, kind of similar to a Demon's magic," Queen Liala answered. "But if you were human when you died, your magic wouldn't be this strong. Interesting…"
She circled me some more. "Hmmm, I can feel the pride radiating off of you. And from what I just saw you have excellent hand to hand combat skills. Prefect for Julius's second in command too." She looked at Julius. "I don't know. What do you think?"
Julius shook his head. "I already have what job she's perfect for and she will be the new General Pride."
I raised an eyebrow. "Oh? A General? Well I was kind of a business tycoon before I died. I owned several successful businesses and always did my audits with fine tooth comb. Anyone who crossed me got sacked and dealt with accordingly. It's too bad I didn't get a chance to exact revenge on my cheating ex-boyfriend and ex-best friend before I died. That's what I get for not looking both ways before crossing the street."
Julius scoffed, "See, it's that attitude that makes you perfect or the job of being General Pride. I'm going to offer you a deal."
"And that is?" I asked.
"You work for me as General Pride and I'll give you the means to exact revenge on your enemies and when it's necessary you'll lead my army in battle," Julius said.
"That's it?" I paused. "Well, I guess that's not a bad idea. I do have a list of people that still need to be punished because they crossed me."
Julius held out his hand to me. "So, do we have a deal?"
I smiled and shook his hand. "Yes, it's a deal!"
