Chapter Eight – Part Three

  Chapter Eight – Part Three

As narrated by the God of Fire

I initiated the attack, and my opponent was unmistakably Nikolai. He had transformed and was charging toward me, laughing. I couldn't help but smile, knowing he understood that I embodied death for him; thus, he chose to face his end with a radiant smile.

He bore no weapons, so I discarded my swords as I ran toward him. We engaged in hand-to-hand combat, and he proved to be a true expert. I punched him in the face, causing him to fall, but he stood up again. I then ignited my fists with flames, setting the surrounding trees ablaze. I jested, "You won't need your clothes now," to which he replied, laughing, "You're right, but I wasn't wearing any to begin with."

We fought amidst the fire, my punches scorching Nikolai's face each time, yet he remained unfazed, continuing to laugh. Then, he delivered a powerful punch that sent me flying through the entire forest. He chased after me, knocked me down, and grabbed my head. His face was the most terrifying I'd ever seen. I kicked and punched him wildly, but it had little effect. I punched his face and unleashed a burst of fire so intense that his face charred beyond recognition.

He stood again with a huge smile while his head was all burnt, I smiled but inside me was pure fear, this thing is not stopping ever

I ran and grabbed his face, he is smiling, I burnt his face again with a 1000c degree heat and he is still smiling

His face is melting and still smiling

He grabbed my hand a started punching me so hard in the stomach non stopping

I kicked his leg and created a huge fire hands crushing him and punching him into the ground over and over

I was in fear, this thing is not stopping

He grabbed the fire hands with his burnt hands and started to get up again

With a smile he said "you know what? I know now…….death is not you….the death is me"

He was right, I was the one in fear

He got up and started walking slowly to me…….slow…real slow

He got near me and stood in front in me, I was so afraid of him

I fear him, I punched him so hard on the face and he stood still, he grabbed my hand and punched me so hard on the face, with every punch he punched me he was killing himself more

He was bleeding so hard with every punch, I started to cry in fear, yelling, I punched him and kicked him attacked him with fire and still he was just dying, he was never in pain, he didn’t feel a thing

I punched him with a huge fire fist until

He fell to his knees, touching his disintegrating face, and began to pray. I didn't understand his words, but fear gripped me. I tried to approach him, but ghostly arms restrained me. I attempted to burn them, but it was pointless.

He was enveloped in light, chanting as if offering himself in sacrifice. He said:

"O Goddess of Wisdom, I offer you my life and challenge my time. I fight for my death; grant me the strength to protect my family."

He transformed again, now with six arms and seven eyes, floating in the air. His face lacked features—no nose, ears, or eyes—yet he radiated light. The arms vanished, and he approached me. I felt his power as he drew near. He punched me, driving me five meters into the ground.

The earth around us began to crack. I leaped into the sky, firing flames at him frantically, but he walked through the fire as if it were nothing. He ascended toward me as if the air had become stairs. Terrified, I stopped flying and fell to the ground. He walked toward me, his white aura angelic.

He pointed at me, and suddenly I was beside him, as if summoned. He grabbed my neck, and I heard a voice say, "I won't kill you in such a gruesome way; you're a true warrior." He reached for one of my swords, which instantly appeared in his hand.

I fought back and punched him so hard, he felt nothing.

I created a fire sword and attacked him, and nothing happened, I was yelling and crying, this is not him, this is not a human, this is a god, a real one, a real one, not like us.

He attempted to behead me, but his body began to tremble, and he collapsed to his knees.

I stood up, barely able to move from his single punch.

I felt like all my body was broken.

I saw him revert to his normal form and believed I had won—or so I thought. As I tried to navigate through the forest, I felt something pierce my chest. Looking down, I saw my sword impaling me. I fell to the ground, gazing at Nikolai one last time as he returned to his normal form and died. In that moment, I too died, the last thing I saw being my killer—the same one I had slain.

Suddenly, I found myself in a white place. A man in a white robe approached, holding a bouquet of flowers. He neared me, and I felt no fear. He said, "Don't worry, Stain. You're going to a much better place now. The agreement is fulfilled." He then took my soul and departed, and I drifted into slumber.
