My name is Jeremiah. I’m not leading the best of lives at the moment. Two days ago, my pregnant husband and I were in a car accident. She died along with my child. The funeral just ended yesterday, and right now I’m going to end it all. I’m standing on a bridge, and with one last glimpse at the blue sky, I back up and fall into the cold abyss. As I hit the water, it hurts, but then I feel nothing. My vision then fades out.
I’m gone, and then I start to hear something. It’s a song. It’s so sweet and soothing. I then wake up and find myself floating in a void. My clothes have completely changed. I’m wearing all white clothes, and I look up and see some sort of angel. It’s odd; she’s so beautiful. She then comes closer to my body, and she smiles, saying,
“It’s not your time yet; there is still so much you need to do!”
Then the next thing I know, I’m in a room with three pedestals in front of me, and then a voice rings out, “This world is filled with many challenges. How will you face them, visitor? On each pedestal is a different colored flame: red, green, and blue. My favorite color is red, but I’m going to pick green. And the green flame transforms into a rather cute-looking green parasol. I quickly look at the details of this parasol, and it has a rather regal appearance. The other flames quickly go out, and a door opens. I walk through the door to the next room, and I find myself in a room filled with eggs in rows of three. In truth, there are nine eggs, so three rows.
I take a deep breath and choose the center row with a white egg and two yellow eggs. The room then fills with light, and I find myself within a cabin. I look around and see the eggs I picked earlier; they are sitting in a large crib. I walk around the cabin and discover that it’s been fully furnished. Strangely enough, the cabin has child-proof furniture.
There was no front door for some reason, but there was a backyard big enough to grow crops; in fact, all I needed to grow crops had been provided. This was a very strange place. I then went back to explore the house some more. There was a living room, a kitchen, three separate bedrooms, and a bathroom. It’s very odd to be in a place like this. I then felt hungry, so I went to the kitchen, and to my surprise, the kitchen was fully stocked. I made a sandwich. When I had finished it, I drank some water and then walked to the living room and watched TV.
I worried about the eggs upstairs. I went back upstairs, and I began to hold one of the eggs. It felt so warm, and it was the size of an actual baby. I wondered what would hatch from it. For the first few days, I cared for these eggs, cleaning them and keeping them warm.
Then one night, as I was getting ready for bed, I heard some cracking. I turned towards the eggs, and they were starting to hatch. I was so excited. One of the eggs hatched, and out came what I thought was a ball of slime with piercing red eyes. He looked mischievous, but at the same time, he was babbling like a baby. He quickly started to grow on me.
The next egg to hatch was the white one, and inside it was the cutest little creature I had ever seen. She looked like a tiny angel, and plus, her little wings were absolutely adorable. The last egg was the other yellow one, and what hatched was a tiny yellow ball with a fox tail.
I was amazed by these creatures, but my amazement was short-lived when my little friends burst out crying. I quickly ran downstairs and made three bottles. I then ran upstairs and started bottle-feeding each of them. I started with the slime ball; he instantly calmed down as soon as the bottle went into his mouth. I smiled and sat on my bed as I cradled my little friend.
Funny thing about him is that his slime barely left a stain or a mark on my clothing. Once my little Gooball was fed, I placed him on my bed, and then I fed my little Fox. As I was feeding my little Fox, her tail was wagging happily, and I even started to hear some soft purring. I chuckled and placed my little Fox on the bed next to my little Gooball, and then I walked over and held my little angel. As soon as I held her, she stopped crying and tried to nurse on my arm. I chuckled and gave my little angel the bottle, and she started to suckle it down like she was starving.
I chuckled and sang to her, and slowly she started to get tired, and she eventually fell asleep. I smiled and held my little angel in my lap as I messed with my other two friends, and from their behavior, I discovered that they were no different than babies. It did make sense, though; they did, after all, hatch from eggs.
I was never able to sleep that night because my little friends were busy either eating or having accidents. This was something I had expected, however, but I was prepared. I had attended so many parenting classes; it was unreal. I knew how to take care of babs and growing up, I learned a lot while living on my family’s farm, so I considered myself a master caretaker, but it was early morning when my friends and I were able to sleep, but even that was short-lived.
When I woke up, I found a strange device on my nightstand. I gently sat up and picked it up. The device was the same shape and size as a Game Boy Advance SP. It had a crimson red color, and it had a golden inscription on it. The inscription was written in strange Characters
I open up the Game Boy, and it instantly turns on. Then a voice is heard: “Greetings, Master. I am Arina, your personal Digipedia and Scanner A.I. I will be in charge of collecting data that you can use in the future.”
After seeing my blank, confused expression, Arina started my education on Digimon and other topics. While I was learning, I tended to my kids. You couldn’t believe how hard it was to take care of three Fresh Level Digimon with appetites that could rival starving sharks. It got to the point where I had to use the backyard to grow crops, but all this work was worth it just to see the smiles on my little ones' faces, and yes, I have adopted these three Digimon as my children.

It was through Arina that I learned their names. My little Gooball was a Zurumon, but I’m going to call him Zuru for short. Then we had my little Angel; she was a Puttimon, but I’m going to call her Princess, and lastly we have my little Fox; she is actually a Relemon, and I’m going to refer to her as Kit.
Eventually I had retained all knowledge of Digimon lore, and that just left raising my kids until they Digivolved. Along the way I would be teaching them how to talk and other skills. Also, Arina informed me that my parasol was actually a type of weapon; it was a magical weapon, and Arina then suggested that I should practice with my parasol. So while my kids were asleep, I went out into the backyard and pulled out my parasol. At first I didn’t know what to do, but I held my parasol in the air in front of me, and I started to act on instinct. My parasol then started to glow brightly. I then released a bolt of magic. I was incredibly surprised.
I then began to practice some more, and eventually I got the hang of it. I then tried to cast a spell. I had no idea what I was doing, but soon a spell circle appeared around my feet, and I performed a spell that cured my fatigue. I was so proud of myself, so whenever the kids were napping, I would go outside and practice my magic. One day I decided to celebrate my kids' birthday. I had baked a cake, and I decorated it with all sorts of treats. I then asked Arina to film the event, and she was more than happy to do so.
I sang happy birthday to my little ones, and they soon dug into the cake. I chuckled and watched on. Then I gave each of my little ones a bath, and then we spent some time together in the living room. As I was watching TV, I began to sense something. It was like a shift in the air. Then I looked over to my kids, and I saw that they were being engulfed in a bluish-white light with white ghostly cubes swirling around them. I jumped up, greatly concerned.
However, Arina spoke up and said, “Wait, Master, let this happen; this is perfectly natural.” The light quickly faded, and my kids had taken on a new form. Zuru had changed into a purple creature with long ears and the same red eyes. He smiled and hopped into my arms, nuzzling into me and saying,
“Daddy, look, I’m bigger. I’m a Pagumon now.” I smiled and hugged him, and then I said, “Did you get older, kiddo?” Pagumon nodded his head, and then I heard some yipping. I looked down and saw that Princess had changed as well.
Princess now looked like a puppy. She smiled up at me and said, “Daddy, i wanna a hug too.” I smiled and scooped up Princess after placing Zuru down on the couch. Princess then proceeded to nuzzle into me, purring slightly. “Daddy, I became Salamon because of your love for me.” I smiled and said, “I can see that, sweetheart.”
Then I heard some laughter. I looked down into the playpen and saw that Kit was anxiously fidgeting. I placed Princess on the couch, and I opened my arms, and Kit jumped into my arms, and Kit burst out laughing. I chuckled and said, “Daddy, I’m Viximon now, and I love you so much!”
I was amazed by this. I then sat on the couch, and each of my kids nuzzled into my lap. I smiled and wrapped my arms around all three of them, and we spent the rest of the day talking, and by talking, I mean my kids were asking me questions while I answered them to the best of my ability.
Then I realized that I needed to make dinner for these three hungry children. I ended up making a nice soup with carrots, beef, potatoes, and peppers. Once it was done, I served my kids, and they quickly scarfed it down, and I gave them seconds, then thirds, followed by fourths, and so on.
Once my kids were full, I took them to the playroom. My kids happily began to play with the various toys. I then went to the kitchen and cooked dinner for myself. Arina then told me that when my kids go to the next stage of their lives, I won’t be able to stay here in the house. Another thing that Arina told me was that Princess was already at the right stage. Now I had to wait for Zuru and Kit to get to the next stage, which would be the rookie level.
When I had finished cooking, I began to eat. Since I first woke up in this cabin, I noticed that there is no way to leave and there are no windows. Hell, even the backyard is covered by a dome that projects images of the natural sky, and it can somehow create rain. It’s incredibly interesting, but once Zuru and Kit reach the Rookie stage, we’ll be allowed to leave.
So now life was interesting, mainly due to the fact that I was hard at work raising my kids and making sure they were safe. I cannot tell you how hard it is to raise Digimon, mainly due to them trying to use their powers to get their own way and getting into fights. I was very overtaxed, and that’s putting it lightly, but there were good days, like, for example, that cold winter day when we were huddled together to get warm. It was a loving moment; our bond had deepened that day.
Or the time all three of my little ones had gotten sick, I let them stay in my bed while they got better. I made them soup and curry, and according to my kids, the curry was the best thing I’ve ever made, so we decided to make it a staple for special occasions.
When my kids got better, they quickly ran to the playroom, and I joined them. The moments I spent playing with my kids were a true gift, but then came the day Zuru and Kit Digivolved, and I was greatly surprised by the forms they took.
Zuru was now the size of a child, and his skin was a pale blue. He wore a mask that only covered his face, leaving his mouth revealed, and he now had fangs. He had eyes in the middle of his hands; one was red, the other was green, and he had long red nails.
I was very alarmed at first, but I simply chuckled because even though his form had changed, he was still the small little Gooball I had raised and comforted whenever he had a stomachache. Zuru was now a Dracmon. As soon as Zuru got a good look at himself, he smiled and broke out into evil and wicked laughter.
Zuru was so very happy, but then Kit digivolved into a Renamon, and Kit was notably taller than her brother, and soon Zuru was incredibly mad and started to throw a fit. I chuckled and told everyone that we were finally going to leave the cabin, and as soon as I said this, all three of my kids looked incredibly nervous; they each had a look of distress plastered to their faces. I gathered my kids together and told them that it would be all right. I said we wouldn’t leave until tomorrow. This did bring a sense of relief to my kids.
It also meant that there would be curry tonight. I didn’t tell them this little tidbit, but I started cooking curry, and once the smell was in the air, all three of my kids quickly ran to the table.
I then brought the plates over to my kids, and we happily ate dinner together, and like always, I made extra. After the third helping, my kids couldn’t eat anymore. I was incredibly surprised. My kids then went to bed. I smiled, and once my kids were asleep, I began packing for the trip. I grabbed medicine, food, and some of the produce from the crops. I then packed our family photo album and some other essentials.
Once everything was packed, I went to bed, and I made sure to set an alarm so we could get up early. As I slept, I had a vision of the future. I saw events that would play out, but they were never clear. When my alarm went off, I cleaned myself up and began to wake my children. Once they were awake, I told them to wait downstairs.
Once everyone was gathered together, I grabbed our bags, and I smiled at my kids and said, “Ok, everyone, this is going to be the start of our journey. Let’s embrace it.” A door appeared and slowly opened up, and we all walked out together, and on the other side of the door was a beautiful field of wildflowers. Things seemed brighter. When I looked behind me, I saw that there was no cabin. Hell, there wasn’t even a door; there was just an open space. But either way, my kids and I started traveling. Arina started to guide us, and you know what? I was excited.
