Immortal baby

“Miya,” a coarse male voice called. Miya lay on the floor. Her phone had fallen to the other side. She appeared to be in the middle of her labor. But she had fainted. The baby would just die. In the house there were no traces of food. She must have been starving.

He quickly carried her to the police car he had come in. He was there to ask her why she had left her little kid to work in the streets. A four-year-old is searching for jobs to help her mother get food.

Michelle was still in the police station. She and her boss had been arrested. She was a genius and therefore had become a cashier at the newly launched firm. With her aptitude for computers. That was a walk in the park. That day, she was to earn great money and make her mother proud, but someone caught a glimpse of her and reported to the police.

“I did this to help my mother and little brother. "My mother can't do heavy work,” she said. They had actually slept without eating anything that day. This pushed Michelle to find a job with her skill. Luckily, she found the new firm and joined it.

They went to the hospital. The ambulance was speeding and so the wind made Miya get up. She was in extreme pain. Beds for the emergency room were already there. Before General Charles got out of the police car, they had already taken her and pushed her bed towards the emergency room.

Wilson hospital had been dedicated to service. They had both automated and manual emergency services. If the doctors went on strike, work would go on as usual. But which doctor would turn against the highest-paying firm, like Wilson hospital?

It was midday, the sun was hot, and General Charles went to purchase some water in the canteen before returning to the waiting room. Patients and doctors passed through the hallway. Most of them headed to the pharmacy. There were also people who had gone to visit their relatives in the hospital. Since it was near lunchtime, nice aromas could be smelled. Food for the patients was brought in with bowls. The hospital ensured all patients were fed well. If it was a school sick bay, many children would be faking illness to just get the salivating food.

General Charles bumped into someone as he walked towards the canteen. He didn't care. However, the person turned back to look at him. His heart was burning in rage.

As General Charles walked back to the recipient's room, he saw a familiar figure also sitting on the bench. The man seemed to be in unrest. He was wearing a big hat and a vest. Tattoos could be seen on his huge left biceps. He was well-built compared to General Charles. What was he doing here?

The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement.

When General Charles reached where the man was, he punched his forehead. The man groaned, “What do you think you are doing?”

“You broke my decree, tell me why I shouldn't punish you,” he roared as he held the man by the neck.

Rajel wanted to fight back but remembered how General Charles had taken all his men down with single punches. He wanted to tell lies, but how could he frame them? He had discovered it all and that's why he was in hospital.

“Rajel, I'm not a kid. And I feel like throwing you in the fire. "Have you ever tested hell before?” General Charles said as he gripped his neck more firmly. His eyes were turning red and his iris darkening..

“Please don't kill me!” he said. Most people who were passing by had stopped to watch the drama.

“Why did you break my decree,” General Charles roared. They were then interrupted by a doctor. He was a young man, perhaps in his twenties. He held a file in his hands. He invited them to his office. They could not resist.

Rajel's heart jumped with joy as he anticipated to hear the child had died during birth. On the other hand, General Charles hoped for a miracle to happen. He wanted all of them to survive. The chances of all, especially the baby was nearly zero, but he kept hope.

After greetings and knowing each other, the doctor went on to inform them why he had called them. He looked sad. Something wasn't right.

“I'm sorry to…” he had begun, but his phone rang.

“What?” he answered the phone with amazement.

“Are you sure?” his face lit up.

“I'll be there soon!” He hung up the phone and left the office without saying a word. Charles and Rajel stared at each other. What news did the doctor have?

The doctor didn't go to the room that Miya had been admitted to. He trailed to the gate. He was going to meet his family. Their hopes were restored to where they were.

“If something happens to any of them, I'll kill you,” General Charles said to him, punching him in the face and walking out of the office.

Six hours passed, they hadn't received any news. General Charles had begun growing impatient. Even Rajel also. He had anticipated it for long until he began to doubt himself. What if the doctors decided to do a heart transplant for the baby? The doctors could do anything to save the baby in the presence of General Charles. He was like a god.

As they all sat down deep in thought, a wheelchair stopped in front of them. They looked at it in disbelief. It was Miya. She was accompanied by two nurses. All dressed in white. One of them carried a baby wrapped in towels. General Charles' face lit up. At least his efforts were not in vain at all.

Rajel felt unhappy, but to hide his hypocrisy, he faked a smile. He hugged his wife. Miya hugged him tightly. He had missed him too much. He had missed it too. It was seven months since he had felt a woman in his arms. He felt how her full breasts rubbed across his chest. They gave each other a kiss. It appeared they had forgotten all of their past. But tears were falling from Miya's eyes.

The same doctor who had called them walked in happily.

“If you are human beings, your child must be immortal. No one has ever survived that,” he said, shaking hands with the Rajel and the general.

  “Immortal?” Everyone asked in disbelief.
