Flames, Conquests, and Invitationsal [15]

  Riser Phenex's Private Mansion

In the silence of his room, Riser stared at the four golden tickets in his hands. He tore open the first. A bzing aura enveloped him with brutal intensity, as if an ancient fme recognized him as a worthy heir.

["Congratutions! You have acquired: Vermillion House Fire Magic / Character Model: Mereoleona Vermillion."]

Energy surged through his veins. The crimson fme pulsed in his blood. It was different from demonic fire—instinctive, wild, natural. He felt the knowledge settle in his mind: absolute control over combustion, the flow of mana, and the fury of the Vermillion lineage.

"So this is how she fought…" he smiled.

He tore open the second ticket.

["Congratutions! You have acquired: Rokushiki – Six Techniques Combat Style."]

A new wave of energy coursed through his body. Riser felt his muscles adapt, his reflexes sharpen, his perception expand. Now, Soru, Tekkai, Geppo, Rankyaku, Shigan, and Kami-e weren't just names—they were instincts.

  "Perfect for a versatile vilin."

The third ticket dissolved in his hands.

["Congratutions! You have acquired: Gold-Level Summoning Card."]

A golden card floated before him. Its mystical glow revealed its power—a summon capable of altering the course of any battle.

  "Another weapon for my arsenal."

He opened the final ticket with a hint of nervousness.

["Congratutions! You have acquired: Bdes of Chaos. Enchanted weapons of devastating power."]

Two fming bdes materialized before him. The heat was ancient. The energy raw. Chains wrapped around his arms, and he understood: he was now the bearer of Kratos's own weapons.

Satisfied, Riser activated the summoning card. A golden circle glowed. The energy swirled until it reached its peak. From within the light, an imposing figure emerged.

"Nana Shimura…" Riser murmured, surprised and impressed.

The woman knelt before him. "It will be my pleasure to serve you, Master Riser."

  Riser took an Evil Piece.

"You'll be my Rook, Nana. Welcome to my Peerage."

Before the moment could linger, the door opened. Romina Phenex entered with a stern expression, interrupting the scene.

"Riser. Was that kind of bachelor party downstairs really necessary?"

  He turned, confused.

"You misunderstood. She's my new Rook."

"Hmph. I don't care what you do with your group, but pick a suit now. The wedding is tomorrow."

  Riser merely sighed.

Occult Research Club – Gremory Mansion

Rias sat motionless on the sofa. Freedom gained, status lost. The Gremory name was still hers, but it carried a bitter taste. Her pride was tarnished, her public image in ruins.

"I escaped the marriage, but I lost everything in the process."

Issei tried to comfort her: "President, don't let this get to you. Riser will never touch you again."

She gave a faint smile. Forced. Empty. "Thank you, Issei… but now I need to look forward."

At that moment, a fsh in the center of the room revealed Grayfia. Her face was pale. Serious.

"Grayfia? Did something happen?" Rias asked.

The royal maid extended a dark envelope, sealed with the Sitri crest.

"An invitation to a wedding. See for yourself."

  Rias read. Her face paled.

  "Sona… is marrying Riser?"

"Sirzechs confirmed with Serafall. It's official."

"That's… betrayal. She was my friend."

Grayfia was direct: "You are forbidden from attending."

  "What?"

  "Orders from Sirzechs."

  The room's atmosphere froze.

"From today, your training will be with me."

Rias fell silent. Tears streamed down her face. Not just because of the wedding. But because, deep down, she knew all of this was the consequence of her choices.
