23 years ago. Multiple meteors crashed into the African and North American continent. With these meteors came a virus-like organic mass that infects every living organism. Plants, marine life, everything can get infected from it. The mass created its own biomes and eco systems with the infected organisms. From this infected biomes came about monsters and creature that are extremely hostile to most forms of life. The monsters themselves can't spread the infection apart from a few exceptions, but infected plants and vegetation can spread to an organism if it's touched or eaten. Majority of Africa is covered by this biome and majority the north America is taken over apart from northern America and Canada because of the freezing temperatures. People soon found out 5 year after the break out that tungsten blocks the progression of the infected mass and biomes. Cities built multiple giant walls of tungsten split the cities into sectors to help stop the spread to large populations, but it isn't enough to completely stop the horrors of the biomes from getting into cities. To protect the population, special military groups, militias, and solo contractors fitted technology and weapons to fight the horrors are highered by the government. Many die to the horrors fighting them, even so, many joins the against the horrors with hope of making a living in their unstable economy.
