Location: Second Floor Apartment, Meguro District – Three Months After the ‘Choice’
This morning… is a chaotic one.
“Are you really eating rice with coffee?!” Kana yelled from the kitchen, entering with a plate, her expression a mix of surprise and disbelief, as if witnessing an ancient deity rise from the dead. “You know that doesn’t match, right?! It’s like mixing two different worlds!”
“But it makes me feel more creative,” Fitran replied with a cheeky grin, scratching under his chin as if pondering deeply. “Or maybe I’m just trying to create the worst breakfast ever?”
Kana shook her head, chuckling softly at Fitran's culinary choices. “Well, congratulations! That mission has already succeeded!” she said, her voice gentle yet teasing. “However, we really need to choose food that at least lets you function, okay? Balanced meals are essential for both your creativity and health!”
Fitran, wearing a worn-out gray t-shirt and with messy hair, simply gazed nonchalantly.
“I think I’ve experienced worse things in another dimension.”
“If you're feeling tortured, don’t hesitate to leave,” Fitran replied, his eyes sparkling with sincerity.
“For love, I will endure! Perhaps I just need to learn to cook without fire so we can share recipes,” Kana retorted, glancing nervously at the stove yet maintaining her enthusiasm.
Kana sighed. “I've turned down three dramas, one series, and two commercial offers just to be able to live with you... so it's not an option!”
“In that case, let’s practice making new dishes together. Every experiment is a small step toward our togetherness!” Fitran suggested, his eyes gleaming like a child’s.
Their days… are a small battlefield.
Fitran tried washing the dishes but ended up breaking two bowls.
Kana was attempting to cook, but she forgot to turn off the stove as she got lost in writing a song. “Whoa, be careful! We could run out of all our utensils if you keep this up!” Kana exclaimed while laughing, trying to help clean up the broken pieces.
They complemented each other beautifully, turning domestic blunders into inside jokes. “As long as we live here, it seems there’s always an ‘explosion’ coming from the kitchen,” Fitran teased, while Kana huffed in mock exasperation and gazed at him affectionately, a smile flickering on her face.
One night, they were sitting on the couch, watching a documentary about the universe. “You know, we’re just dust among the stars,” Fitran said while gazing at the screen. “But I feel lucky to share this dust with you.”
“If you could go back to your old world,” Kana asked softly, “would you choose to leave?”
Fitran turned to her. “Why do you ask that?”
“Because… sometimes I feel scared... that I’m just a stop along the way. Would you still want to spend time with me if our time runs out?”
Fitran grasped Kana’s hand. “If you see yourself as a stop, then I don’t need a journey. Every second with you is a destination I want to reach.”
Kana blushed. “That sounds really sweet, you... and I truly appreciate it.”

Episode 1: Kana insists that Fitran learn to dance like an idol.
“You can definitely do this, right? We might become guest stars in another dimension,” Kana says with a gentle laugh, her eyes shining with enthusiasm. “If I can do it, you can too, even if we’re in a different world!”
Episode 2: Fitran cooks ramen with a magical twist (using dry ice).
“How can you turn this into drama? It’s as if this ramen has a story to tell,” Kana mused, resting her chin in her hands, captivated by the swirling steam rising from the noodles. “Yeah, maybe we are cooking for a shooting in another dimension!”
Episode 3: They argue because Fitran forgets their anniversary… though Kana intentionally didn’t remember either.
“How can we celebrate when you forgot, huh?!” Kana exclaims, slightly pouting before Fitran’s gentle hair ruffle makes her laugh again. “You really need to set reminders, even for our love!”
Their popularity skyrocketed. The hashtag #Kantran was trending on social media.
“I bet many people are getting emotional over us. It’s funny," Fitran joked while glancing at his phone screen. He simply nodded with a smile, adding, “Maybe they need a love tutorial from us, right? After all, everyone could use a little guidance in relationships!”
But on the night after filming, they embraced quietly in a room that was just enough for two small futons.
Not because of the audience.
“Sometimes I feel like we are a great team in this world, as if we can conquer anything together, right?” said Fitran, winking with enthusiasm. “Even in another dimension, we’d still be a team, overcoming any challenges that come our way!”
But because… they found a home in each other behind the scenes.
“To be the woman ‘chosen’ by an extraordinary man. To be the name that’s always mentioned in interviews as the lucky woman.”
Fitran gazed at her intently, a mischievous smile on his face. “What if I weren’t Fitran… just an ordinary man… would you still love me, or should I look for a portal to another dimension to find the answer?”
Kana smiled gently, trying to respond to his joke. “I love you even when you don’t know how to use a rice cooker.”
Fitran laughed, “Alright, we can learn together. Who knows, maybe we could even open a cooking class with an alien theme.” He took her hand, “I’ll be a dutiful student if it means you’ll guide me.”
Kana returned his smile with a wide grin, “And I’ll be a patient teacher, as long as you don’t attempt to make pancakes from outer space.”
“Can we start by learning to mix the spices for dinner?”
“Deal! But you must be ready to take responsibility if the result resembles food from another planet,” Kana replied playfully.
Finale of the variety show: Fake Marriage.
The final episode featured Fitran and Kana dressed in wedding attire. Fans cheered, cried, and created millions of memes.
In the closing scene, they exchanged vows.
Fitran said:
“I vow… to always look into your eyes, even when the world doesn’t believe that ‘kanarima’ can love an alien.”
“Because you are not a choice...
…you are the end of the search.”
And for a moment… everything felt real.
Even the cameras forgot to cut.
Years later, they lived in a small house with a backyard. Kana wrote songs, while Fitran taught children about the stars.
They weren't the perfect couple.
But they laughed every morning.
“You don’t believe I can make pancakes, do you?” Fitran asked while stirring the batter, a mischievous smile on his face. “Who knows, maybe this will turn into pancakes from another dimension.”
Kana replied, arching an eyebrow, “If the outcome is like pancakes or mud cake, that will be our concern, not just mine!”
“Don’t worry; I’ll close my eyes when eating it,” Fitran replied with a broad smile, trying to ease the tension. “Maybe it will taste like a flavor adventure, one we can remember and laugh about later.”
“And I will sing a brave pancake song,” Kana said cheerfully, adding a gentle touch to her voice. “Maybe we can craft the lyrics to a sweet melody.”
Every night, under the vast sky illuminated by countless stars, they would sit and name a star with a name they created together, symbolizing their unique bond:
"Kana-san."
"A place where time stops, but the heart keeps moving."
"This morning, I made your favorite coffee," Fitran said with a smile, carefully serving a cup of coffee. "As if it will transport you to a better universe."
“Ah, how lovely! But don't forget, I like it sweet," Kana replied, playfully pinching Fitran's cheek. “Just like my sweet hopes for every day we share together, filled with love and laughter.”
"Are you sure you don't want more sugar?" she asked, laughing shyly, her tone full of concern. "Because this is a moment we should fully enjoy."
“One spoon is enough. The important thing is having you here,” Fitran replied, gently taking Kana's hand, feeling the warmth of their togetherness permeating the moment.
