Hiruzen, now enrolled in the frostfang division, heads to his new dorm when he passes Kai and Mai in the hallway.

  Kai: Yup, I've been welcomed to the Inferno unit. It's chock full of flame users like me but they even have some people who can manipulate Lava but only outside sources so they only help out on special missions to Hawaii.

  Mai: I've been invited to join the Black Black unit. They specialize in covert ops and Night missions. They also dabble in works regarding the shadow realm which rare power users like me can access so it was a no brainer to invite me.

  Hiruzen: So the flame guy gets in the fire unit and the shadow girl gets in the dark unit,jeez talk about original.

  Kai:Says the ice guy in the ice unit.

  Hiruzen: Yeah, well anyway do you guys know where all the division quarters are? I've been searching everywhere.

  Mai: Yeah this academy is divided into 4 sections each containing 2 divisions. The frostfang division is in the north section.

  Hiruzen: Got it, thanks.

  Mai: No problem.

  Kai: See ya Ice head.

  Hiruzen, now informed on his division's whereabouts, begins to make his way to the north section but half way there he runs into someone strange.

  Stranger: Well well well, if it isn’t the new student who made quite the spectacle at the placement trials.

  Stranger: I thought it was amazing to say the least, i never expected Rika to lose especially after she received grade 2 amplification from yours truly.

  Hiruzen: Amplification? What is that some kind of drug or steroid?

  Stranger: DRUG!! Absolutely not, my amplifications could never compare to something as primitive as drugs. No no no, my work is something else entirely, something my family started long ago amplification and modification.

  Hiruzen: Well if it ain't a drug then what is it? And I never asked about the other thing you said.

  Stranger: Well allow me to introduce myself and explain. My name is Logan and my family runs this world's number science division A&M=G.

  Hiruzen: Hey I've heard of them they can make almost anything if paid enough. If you're a part of that family, would you have ties to a man named Skyzen?

  Logan: Skyzen? Why do you want to know about him anyway when I can explain to you my family's greatest work.

  Hiruzen: He was involved in an incident with my family a while back and I needed to meet with him. He’s the whole reason I enrolled, (and to get stronger).

  Logan: Well fine but only if you hear my marvelous explanation first.

  Hiruzen: Fine, lay it on me.

  Logan: FINALLY!!! SOMEONE WHO'S WILLING TO LISTEN.

  Logan: Let's start off with amplification. It’s specifically for power users to boost the strength of their abilities way beyond what they would normally be capable of as you saw with Rika at the placement trials.

  Hiruzen: Rika? Oh the girl with the wind powers. I thought that's how they always were. The way she was fighting was like she trained really hard with them for a while.

  Logan: On the contrary actually. Before she sought out my genius all she could muster were small gusts much like an electric fan. Quite pathetic actually.

  Hiruzen: Even the strongest have to start somewhere.

  Logan: Well moving on, when she sought me out I decided to help her out, although you have to pay quite a bit depending on how much power you want to gain. She decided to boost her weak gusts from level 5 all the way to level 2 which allowed to perform the way she did against you.

  Hiruzen: I-uh

  Logan: Before you say anything let me explain what levels are. Level 5 is the lowest of the low in terms of power, it’s usually reserved for weak and useless powers that can’t even be used for menial tasks. Then we move to level 4 and 3 and those are for powers that can't necessarily be used for combat but they have their uses in other ways, more so 4 than 3. Now we're on level 2, this level is for powers that excel in combat, your friend Kai is a high level 2 by the end of the semester he’ll advance to semi level 1 with no amplifications needed. Now level 1, this level is for the best of the best for conventional powers, people with the power of superspeed or can decimate city blocks. Level 1 mostly comprises all our honor students.

  Hiruzen: What level would you say I am currently at?

  Logan: Judging off your performance at the placement trial and recommendation from Asura I'll say you're close to a high level 1 but you have potential to go beyond that.

  Hiruzen: Beyond level 1?

  Logan: Yes, Level 0 is reserved for powers that aren’t in the norm, powers that alter the reality of our world, Gravity manipulation,Chronokinesis,enough raw strength to level continents all these fall under level 0. Your sensei and friend Mei fall under this level and you could someday as well.

  Hiruzen: If i reach that level do i get anything special.

  Logan: Yes, all those in level 0 are usually either on the front lines of protection or are helping out with special grade cases, they also have access to class SS files.

  Hiruzen: Would I be able to access certain files that relate to murder.

  Logan: Yes most definitely.

  Hiruzen: How do I increase my level?

  Logan: By going out on high class missions and putting on a good performance and yielding high results to impress the Dean and council.

  Hiruzen: Trust i will rise to level 0, but that requires strength. So let's just move on to the other thing you mentioned.

  Logan: Yes, Modification is a bit harder to explain so let's head to the east section shall we.
