Ahsoka nods, a look of respect and understanding in her gaze. "I admire your strength, Emilia. It's clear you have a powerful spirit, and I have no doubt you'll use it to make a difference in this fight against the Banished." The ride in the pelican continued until they reached the forerunner compound. A large geometric building loomed, surrounded by what could pass as radar dishes.
Subaru whistled, "These guys know there stuff."
"Sir we've got contact!" Said the pilot, "Banished forces have already penetrated the structure. They've just begun to set up defenses by the looks of it."
"Can you get us down there pilot?" Jerome
"Can a blind squirrel find a nut? Damn straight I can sergeant, everyone hang on! Prep to disembark!" The Pelican dropship descends rapidly, its engines roaring as it maneuvers between the geometric structures of the Forerunner compound. Through the windscreen, Bubba can see Banished forces already establishing defensive positions around the perimeter, their armor glinting in the harsh light.
As the ship touches down, the side hatch opens with a hiss, revealing a chaotic scene. Banished troops are swarming the area, setting up automated turrets and deploying shield generators. The air is thick with the smell of burnt grasses and burning metal, punctuated by the occasional burst of plasma fire. "Alright, we move fast and we move smart!" Jerome barks out, already moving to the exit.
Bubba- "Sub let's hold the rear, Beatrice has limited mana right now, right? "
Subaru nods, understanding the gravity of the situation. "Right behind you, Bubba. I'll make sure nothing gets past us." He turns to Beatrice, who looks slightly drained but determined. "Beatrice, you focus on what you can do best."
The girl gets on subarus' back and shoots a few crystals at the Banished forces. "I suppose I may help, somewhat." She says. As the group disembarks, the cacophony of battle engulfs them. Plasma bolts streak across the sky, and the ground trembles under the weight of heavy machinery. Bubba, Subaru, and Beatrice move swiftly to take up positions at the rear, providing cover for the others as they advance. The Banished forces, a motley crew of armored brutes and Unggoy, are already well-entrenched, their defenses formidable.
Emilia, her eyes glowing with a cold, ethereal light, begins to weave her magic. The air around her shimmers as she focuses on the incoming plasma bolts, the hot balls cooling down and falling out of the air uselessly.
The brutes are stunned by this, and begin to use their spike rifles in a more controlled manner, their heavy armor deflecting the weakened bolts. "Impressive, Emilia! Keep it up!" Ahsoka shouts, her lightsaber cutting through the air as she engages a group of Banished soldiers.
Subaru tenses, his hands quivering slightly as he readies himself for combat. He's never been in a situation like this before, but he's determined to do his part. Beatrice's fingers work rapidly, channeling her remaining magic into small, glittering crystals that she hurls at the Banished forces with surprising accuracy.
Bubba- "Sub just find an opening and wait for them to exit cover. Keep walking behind the marines!"
Subaru nods, following your advice to the letter. He moves slowly, methodically, his footsteps soft on the alien ground as he keeps pace behind the ODST team. The Banished forces seem content to keep their positions, using the geometric structures for cover. Beatrice stays on Subaru, her fingers moving swiftly as she creates more crystals.
Suddenly, one of the Banished brutes spots the group and shouts a warning in their guttural tongue. The heavy machine gunner spins, bringing his massive weapon to bear on your position. Emilia's eyes glow even brighter as she prepares a spell, while Ahsoka leaps into action, her lightsaber humming to life.
"Incoming!"
Jerome kneels down with a large bulky weapon, it glows red hot before a huge red blast is sent out, destroying the gunner battery in a fireball. "Spartan Laser" He says. Anakin gives him a quick smirk of being impressed. The Banished forces, caught off guard by the sudden and precise counterattack, scramble to regroup. Subaru's heart pounds in his chest as he watches the chaos unfold, his grip tightening on his weapon. He takes a deep breath, trying to steady his nerves. He can see the Banished forces beginning to shift their positions, attempting to flank the group. He knows he has to act fast.
"Subaru, keep an eye out for any stragglers!" Ahsoka calls out, her voice cutting through the din of battle. She moves with a fluid grace, her lightsaber a blur of motion as she takes down any Banished soldiers who dare to cross her path. Garfeil is having a field day. Launching earth and spikes into the Banished forces. Sending some flying sky high from earth pillars erupting from the ground. Those brutes foolish enough to get close were swatted away like loose paper.
Jerome lowers his laser and takes stock of their situation. "Alright people, we got the upper hand now but it ain't gonna last long! Emilia, can you keep cooling their guns?"
Emilia focuses her power and nods. "I'll keep doing my best. Her eyes glow an even brighter blue as she channels more power, and the Banished plasma rifles start to sputter and fizzle as they attempt to fire.
"Good job, Emilia! Keep it up!" Ahsoka encourages as she engages a Banished Elite. The massive warrior wielding a energy sword and coming down on her own lightsaber as a duel began. The Banished Elite's massive form towers above Ahsoka, its armor covered in crude runes that pulse with an otherworldly light. The warrior's face is obscured by a tattered helmet, but its red eyes burn with malice as it brings its energy sword down with devastating force. Ahsoka parries the blow with her own lightsaber, the clash of blue and green blades creating a spectacular display of energy and sparks.
The Elite presses its advantage, its superior strength allowing it to drive Ahsoka back. It feints with a low swing before bringing its blade up in an arc aimed at her head. Ahsoka deflects, but the sheer power behind the strike sends her stumbling. Ahsoka regains her footing, her breath coming in quick gasps. She knows she can't afford to be on the defensive for long. She takes a moment to assess her opponent, looking for any weaknesses in its form or technique. The Elite's movements are brutal and direct, but there's a predictability to them. She sees an opening and takes it, lunging forward with a swift, precise strike aimed at the Elite's side. The Banished warrior grunts in pain as the lightsaber cuts through its armor, leaving a deep gash.
Meanwhile, Subaru, seeing the Elite engaged with Ahsoka, feels a surge of determination. He knows he can't let her fight alone. Subaru breathes slowly and takes a shot, hitting the elite in the knee .The Banished Elite staggers, its knee buckling under the sudden impact. Ahsoka seizes the opportunity, pressing her advantage with a flurry of precise strikes. The Elite's energy sword clatters to the ground, severed from its grasp, as Ahsoka delivers a final, decisive blow. The Elite crumples, defeated, and Ahsoka turns to Subaru, a nod of gratitude and respect in her eyes.
"Nice shot, Subaru!" she calls out, her voice steady despite the battle raging around them. Subaru feels a rush of pride and relief, his heart pounding with adrenaline.
He nods back, his grip on his weapon tightening as he scans the battlefield for the next threat. Taking aim and shooting a grunt in the face Subaru grimaces and doubles over, nauseated. The ODST Hawkins pulled up the young man gave him encouragement. Subaru managed to calm down and continue, his heart racing under the unfamiliar ODST armor.
While Subaru is shooting the team presses forward, the Jedi blocking the enemy fire. Bubba manages to grab the fallen energy sword for himself, feeling its weight and power in his hands. The weapon pulses with an eerie blue glow, emanating a strange, otherworldly energy. As he holds it, he can sense the immense potential for destruction contained within the blade. He takes a moment to get accustomed to the new weapon, testing its balance and grip. The energy sword feels foreign in his hands compared to your usual weapon, but he knows it could prove to be a valuable asset in the heat of battle.
Suddenly, a group of Banished Brutes charges forward, their massive forms lumbering towards the allies with unbridled aggression. As the Banished Brutes barrel towards the group, Bubba instinctively activates the energy sword. The blade flares to life, humming with a malevolent energy. Bubba grips the hilt tightly, bracing himself for the onslaught.
The first Brute reaches him, swinging a massive spiked club with devastating force. Bubba parries the blow with his energy sword, the clash of weapons sending a shockwave through his arms. The Brute presses its advantage, raining down a flurry of blows, but he manages to deflect each one, his reflexes sharpened by the adrenaline coursing through his veins. He finds himself in a fierce duel with the Banished Brute, the creature's immense strength matched only by its relentless aggression. As he parries and deflect its attacks, he notices the other members of your group engaging the remaining Brutes and Banished forces. Emilia continues to channel her ice magic, freezing the Brutes' weapons and slowing their movements. Garfeil summons earthen spikes, impaling the lumbering creatures and sending them crashing to the ground. Jerome and the ODSTs lay down suppressing fire, their weapons tearing through the Banished ranks.
In the midst of the chaos, you spot a group of Banished Elite Warriors approaching, their energy swords humming with deadly power. As he parries and deflect Brute's relentless blows, he sees an opening in its defense. With a calculated risk, Bubba releases his grip on the hilt of the energy sword and swiftly draws a fragmentation grenade from his tactical harness. In a fluid motion, he lobs the explosive towards the group of incoming Banished Elites, praying his aim holds true. The grenade spirals through the air, and for a breathless moment, it seems suspended in time as the battle continues to rage around him.
Suddenly, a deafening explosion rocks the battlefield as the grenade detonates, showering the area with lethal shrapnel. The blast tears through the ranks of the Banished, sending bodies flying and scattering their resolve. The explosion creates a momentary distraction, giving him the opportunity he needs to turn the tide against the relentless Brute he is locked in combat with. Seizing the opening, channeling all his strength and focus into a single, decisive strike. His energy sword, still glowing with an otherworldly power, slices through the air and impacts the Brute's spiked club with a blinding flash of energy. The weapon shatters into a thousand razor-sharp shards, which embed themselves deep into the creature's flesh, drawing a bellow of pain and rage from its gaping maw. Finally free to strike Bubba slams the energy sword straight into its belly
The energy sword pierces the Brute's thick hide, sinking deep into its flesh. The creature lets out a deafening roar of agony, its eyes wide with shock and pain. Bubba feels the sword's energy pulse through his arms as it cuts through the Brute's internal organs, the creature's life force draining away in an instant. With a final, shuddering breath, the Brute collapses to the ground, its massive form twitching spasmodically before falling still.
Bubba swiftly withdraws the energy sword, the blade slick with the creature's dark, viscous blood. The banished forced retreat into the structure as a familiar ship lowers down, Ratchet and Clank emerge. "What did I miss?" He asks as the team regains their breath. Ratchet and Clank approach the rest of the team as they take a moment to catch their breath. "Looks like you guys have been having quite the battle," Ratchet remarks, his eyes scanning the carnage left in the allies' wake. The bodies of the fallen Banished lie strewn across the battlefield, their once proud forms now reduced to lifeless husks.
"Not much, just the usual- banished, and some elites. We did alright though, and I'm getting better with this thing," Bubba replied, giving the energy sword a little twirl. "Did you have any luck?"
Ratchet grins, patting his robotic companion on the back. "You could say that." Clank, "We managed to map out the structure with our scanners before the Banished arrived, but we're unable to enter without a reclaimer. We had to lose some banished ships before we could head back."
"Well the structure is open now, let's head inside. I'll take point with the Jedi, Emilia and Garfeil can come behind us.", Jerome said. Bubba and the team cautiously enter the structure, weapons at the ready. The interior is dimly lit, with strange symbols etched into the walls. They can feel a palpable energy emanating from deep within the complex. As they delve deeper, they encounter a series of locked doors and barriers that Jerome and his UNSC team must disable with their high-tech equipment. The Jedi, using the Force, help guide them through the twisting corridors and stairways.
Eventually, they reach what appears to be the central chamber. The air is thick with an otherworldly energy that makes the hair on the back of Bubba’s neck stand on end. The banished are set up inside, seemingly trying to use the comms array As Bubba and the allies step into the central chamber, the hum of ancient technology fills the air, pulsating with a rhythm that seems to resonate within his very soul. The Banished forces, caught off guard by the sudden intrusion, scramble to form a defensive line. The chamber is vast, with towering pillars of shimmering crystal stretching towards a ceiling lost in shadows. At the far end, a massive Forerunner console dominates the space, its surface adorned with intricate glyphs that seem to dance and shift in the dim light.
Bubba- "Ratchet! Can you get me and Clank to the console?"
Ratchet nods, his hand already reaching for the tools strapped to his utility belt. "Clank, open up and let's get them there. Looks like the Jedi and the UNSC can hold the line for now."
With a hiss of hydraulics, Clank transforms into a hover platform, his repulsor fields glowing with an intense blue light. Ratchet boosts Bubba up, and they quickly scramble onto the platform, crouching low to maintain your balance. "Alright, here we go! Hold on tight!" Ratchet calls out, his voice barely audible over the hum of the Forerunner machinery and the cacophony of the battle raging around them. Clank surges forward, his repulsor fields propelling them swiftly across the chamber. The air whips around them as they accelerate, the battle behind them becoming a blur of laser fire and clashing blades. Bubba grips the edges of the platform tightly, his knuckles white as he lean into the wind. The console looms ahead, its surface a swirling vortex of ancient symbols and pulsating energy.
As they approach, the symbols on the console begin to react to their presence, their glow intensifying and casting eerie shadows on the walls. Bubba can feel the power radiating from the device in his bones, a raw and untamed force that seems to resonate with the energy sword still clutched in his hand.
Bubba- "Clank let's get this up and running, find out what the Banished were doing. Ratchet cover us, let me know if you need a hand"
Ratchet nods grimly, his eyes never leaving the battle unfolding behind them. "Will do, but I think I can handle this bunch. You two focus on the console." With that, he leaps from Clank's platform, his wrench already in hand, and charges headlong into the fray. The sound of clashing metal and pained howls fills the air as he lays into the Banished forces with a fury that belies his small stature.
Meanwhile, Bubba and Clank approach the console, the ancient device pulsing with an otherworldly energy that seems to beckon them closer. Clank extends a slender manipulator arm, his sensors probing the surface of the console. The console hums louder, the glyphs pulsating in a rhythm that seems to sync with Bubba's heartbeat. Clank's sensors glow brighter, and he begins to interface with the Forerunner technology, his mechanical whirring filling the air. Bubba watches in awe as the symbols on the console shift and change, responding to Clank's commands.
"Clank, what are you seeing?" he asks, his voice barely audible over the hum of the console and the distant sounds of battle.
Clank's optical sensors flicker, and a holographic display materializes above the console. It shows a complex network of lines and nodes, pulsating with energy. "It appears the Banished were attempting to tap into the Forerunner network, Bubba," Clank explains, his voice tinged with concern. "They were trying to use this console to access the portal system to call for even more banished forces. It appears their plan is to gather banished from multiple universes."
Bubba stares at the holographic display, a sense of unease settling in the pit of his stomach. The implications of the Banished's plan are staggering - if they succeed in gathering forces from multiple universes, the scale of the threat they pose will be immeasurable. He glances back at the battle raging behind him, the Jedi and UNSC forces holding the line against the Banished onslaught, and you know that every second counts.
Bubba says "Is there anyway to tell what reality the come array is speaking with? The Banished should have a UNSC in their realities as well!"
Clank's optical sensors flicker as he delves deeper into the Forerunner console's data streams. "Bubba, I'm detecting a complex web of quantum entanglements that span multiple realities," he explains, his voice tinged with a hint of unease. "The Banished seem to have found a way to exploit these connections, allowing them to communicate and coordinate across different universes."
Bubba- "Can we send our own message?"
Clank's mechanical whirring quickens as he processes his suggestion. "It's risky, but...yes. I believe it's possible for us to exploit the same quantum entanglement to send a message of our own, Bubba."
He grips Clank's metallic shoulder, a plan already taking shape in your mind. "Alright, Clank. Let's do it. Can we send a message to the UNSC in those universes? We need to warn them of this threat." He hears the sounds of battle intensify, and worries for his companions. The holographic display flickers as Clank begins to interface with the console, the glyphs shifting rapidly in response.
Clank's sensors glow with an intense, almost blinding light as he works. "I'm patching into the quantum network, Bubba. But I'll need to work quickly - the Banished signal is already beginning to overload the system. We have a small window of opportunity before the entire array becomes destabilized.
"Tell me when." Says Bubba. Clank's sensors flicker wildly as he frantically works to establish a connection through the quantum network. The console's hum rises to a deafening pitch, the glyphs pulsing in an erratic, almost seizure-like rhythm. "I've got a lock on the UNSC frequencies, Bubba!" Clank shouts over the din. "But I need you to input the message. It has to be precise."
Bubba leans in close to the console, his heart pounding in his chest as he focuses on the holographic display. The swirling patterns of light coalesce into a shimmering field of text, pulsing with an otherworldly energy. "Clank send this location, I'll send the message. Mayday, mayday this is the UNSC Spirit of Fire. Banished forces are crossing realities at this shield world to amass an army. Multiple neutral parties present, portals unstable!"
Clank's mechanical fingers dance over the console, inputting the location data with lightning-fast precision. The holographic display flickers, and the text he's input begins to pulse with an urgent, rhythmic energy. The console's hum reaches a fever pitch, and the air around them crackles with tension. "Message sent, Bubba!" Clank exclaims, his voice barely audible over the cacophony. "But we need to move fast. The Banished are trying to override the system."
Bubba glanced back at the battle, seeing the Jedi and UNSC forces pushing back against the Banished onslaught. Anakin and Ahsoka are fighting side by side, their lightsabers a blur of motion.
Bubba yells, "Ratchet, we're done here!"
"On it, Bubs!" Ratchet calls back, already firing his Wrecking Ball at the Banished forces. The heavy weapon slams into a group of Banished soldiers, scattering them like bowling pins. "Anakin, cover us!" The Jedi Master complies, igniting his blade and creating a defensive barrier around the group.
"You have to leave NOW!" Ahsoka shouts, deflecting incoming fire as she pushes towards the exit.
Behind Bubba, the comms array suddenly emits a blinding flash of energy. “They're attempting to overload the entire system." The air crackles with intense energy as the comms array releases a massive burst of power, threatening to tear apart the very fabric of reality. The allies quickly retreat, the Banished forces momentarily distracted by the chaos erupting from the array. As they reach the exit, Bubba hears a deafening explosion behind them, followed by a reality-bending shriek that makes your teeth ache. The Banished soldiers nearest to the array simply cease to exist, their forms dissolving into a swirling vortex of light and shadow.
"The array is destabilizing!" Clank warns, his sensors flickering wildly. "We need to get clear of this area immediately, or we'll be pulled into the quantum vortex!"
Bubba sighs, "It can't ever be easy can it?"
Ratchet grunts, "Never is, Bubs. But we're still standing, and that's what counts." He slings his Wrecking Ball over his shoulder, eyes scanning the chaotic battlefield as they all rush out of the central chamber. The Banished forces, though momentarily disoriented, are already beginning to regroup, their eerie cries echoing through the ancient structure.
Anakin, his lightsaber humming softly, takes the lead, Ahsoka close behind. "We need to find a safe distance," Anakin says, his voice steady despite the chaos. "The destabilization could cause unpredictable ripples in reality." As they sprint through the maze-like corridors, the ground trembles beneath their feet.
"I've called our ride for dispatch! Let's make it back to the landing pad", Jerome said" They all burst out of the Forerunner compound, the reality-warping energies of the destabilizing coms array close behind.
Anakin, his lightsaber humming softly, takes the lead, Ahsoka close behind. "We need to find a safe distance," Anakin says, his voice steady despite the chaos. "This place is coming down!."
As they sprint through the maze-like corridors, the ground trembles beneath their feet. The air crackles with energy, and the very walls seem to warp and twist around them.
Bubba gets a brain blast- "Emilia, could you send us flying away on an ice spike?"
Emilia nods, her eyes narrowing with determination. She takes a deep breath, and the air around her begins to shimmer with an icy chill. "I can do this," she murmurs, more to herself than to anyone else. She raises her hands, and the ground beneath her feet begins to freeze, a layer of glittering ice spreading outwards in a perfect circle.
The ice spike erupts from the frozen ground with a deafening crack, shooting upwards into the sky like a crystalline spear. Emilia leaps onto the spike, and with a wave of her hands, she summons a second spike, and then a third. "Quickly, everyone!" she calls out, her voice barely audible over the roaring wind. The allies leap onto the ice spikes, the frigid wind whipping at their faces as they ascend rapidly into the sky. Below, the Forerunner compound shudders and groans, the reality-warping energies tearing at its very foundations. The Banished forces, momentarily stunned by the sudden disappearance of their comms array, quickly regain their composure and begin firing at your retreating forms.
Emilia, her hands glowing with an otherworldly blue light, guides the ice spikes with preternatural precision. She weaves and dodges, the spikes twisting and turning to avoid the incoming fire.
Jerome, "There's the pelican! Lead us up Emilia!" Emilia nods, her eyes narrowing with determination.
"You got this Emilia-tan!", Subaru calls out to her as the ice spike sails through the air to the pelican. Emilia's hands glow brighter as she guides the ice spikes with expert precision, weaving between the Banished fire.
"Almost there!" she calls out, her voice straining with the effort of maintaining the massive ice constructs. The Pelican looms closer, its engines roaring to life as it prepares for an emergency landing.
Just as they reach the Pelican, a massive explosion rocks the Forerunner compound below. The resulting shockwave hits the ice spikes, causing Emilia to stumble. "Emilia!" Subaru shouts in alarm as the ice structures waver.
Emilia grits her teeth, fighting to maintain control, but the strain is clearly visible on her face. "I need more power!" Beatrice gives Emilia her mana as the pelican maneuvers to catch them Beatrice, seeing Emilia's struggle, quickly moves to her side, placing a hand on her shoulder. A soft glow emanates from Beatrice's palm, and Emilia's eyes widen as she feels a surge of power coursing through her veins. "I'll help i suppose!," Beatrice says, her voice steady and reassuring. The ice spikes beneath your feet stabilize, their crystalline surfaces glowing with renewed vigor.
The Pelican, piloted by a skilled UNSC pilot, maneuvers expertly to catch the allies and bewildered ODSTs. The dropship's ramp lowers, revealing the interior bathed in harsh, fluorescent light. "Hold on tight!" the pilot's voice crackles over the comms. The squad rushes into the pelican as debris from the exploring compound begins to follow the sky "All clear, launching!" The Pelican's engines roar to life, the aircraft rapidly ascending. The Banished forces, enraged by their thwarted plan, fire upon the departing craft. The ship lurches and tilts violently, and Emilia and Beatrice struggle to maintain control of the ice constructs as the pilot attempts evasive maneuvers.
Through the Pelican's drop ramp, Bubba sees the Forerunner compound shuddering ominously, reality-warping energies crackling along its surface like lightning. Suddenly, the structure tears open at the seams, massive rifts appearing in space-time. The Banished, realizing their position is about to become very precarious, scramble for the exit. "Bubba, you were worried about being able to help. I think your ideas and fighting were top notch." Anakin told you as the ship exited the atmosphere alongside Ratchet and Clank's ship.
"I'm impressed." Ahsoka said.
Bubba grins- "I'm enchanted!”, he joked flirtingly as everyone took a seat
Anakin chuckles, shaking his head as he takes a seat next to you. "You've got a unique way with words, Bubba. I like it." He turns to look at the others, his expression sobering. "We need to regroup and assess our next move. That was a close call, and we can't afford to underestimate the Banished again."
Ahsoka, her lekku swaying gently as she moves, takes a seat across from you. "Agreed. We need to understand what we're up against. The Banished ability to manipulate reality is a game-changer." She looks at Emilia and Beatrice, gratitude evident in her eyes.
Bubba- "At Least they can't call for more reinforcement. But I suppose neither can we. We should contact the monitor, or begin to hit the spires. I think?"
The ODSTs seemed in awe of the magic users, a newfound respect having formed.
"We're contacting the Spirit and the Republic fleet now", Jerome said. The Pelican's comm system flickers to life, a holographic display materializing in the air. Captain Cutter's lined face appears, his eyes narrowed with concern and curiosity.
"We've detected some unusual energy signatures from that compound. Care to explain what just happened there?" Cutter asks.
Dr. Anderson appears next to Cutter, her face showing equal parts scientific interest and concern. "We got a good look at your magic allies from Jerome's helmet cam. We're intrigued, to say the least." Emilia and Beatrice, still catching their breath, exchange glances before addressing the holographic figures.
"Damn right! That was a great fight! My body is rockin’!", Garfeil was still in. A battle high from the experience. The Pelican's interior hums with a mix of tension and exhilaration as the allies catch their breath. The ship's comms crackle with activity as the Spirit of Fire and Republic fleet check in, their voices a blend of concern and awe at the spectacle they’ve just witnessed and participated in.
"Bubba, I have to hand it to you," Anakin says, his voice a mix of admiration and a hint of something more. "Your strategy was instrumental in turning the tide of that battle. I think we could learn a lot from you."
Emilia, her cheeks flushed from the exertion and the adrenaline still coursing through her veins, gives you a grateful smile. "I agree."
Bubba blushes, "Thanks gang, it's easy when your working with heros like yourselves"
Ahsoka and Anakin exchange amused looks, while Captain Cutter clears his throat on the holographic display. "Heroics aside, we need to focus on the immediate threat. The Banished are mobilizing their forces - we've detected massive energy buildups across multiple sectors."
Dr. Anderson leans closer to the holo-camera, her expression grave. "And we can't afford to lose the tactical advantage you gained. We need to know what exactly happened back there, and quickly." The Pelican's cabin falls silent as the group considers the implications of what you've learned, the whir of the ship's engines the only sound.
Bubba nods, "The banished attempted to contact other banished forces from the multiverse to make an army. We shut down the comms array after sending out a mayday to the UNSC. Clank sent our coords, so they should respond.
Clank, "I discovered the closed openings across the planet's surface lead to other realities when opened, whereas the smaller portals around the sphere let it ships or individuals."
The Pelican's cabin falls silent as the group considers the implications of what they've learned, the whir of the ship's engines the only sound. Dr. Anderson's eyes narrow with scientific interest. "Multiple realities? That's... that's beyond anything we've encountered before. We need to understand the full extent of this threat."
Captain Cutter's face darkens. "If the Banished can indeed summon reinforcements from other universes, we're facing an army beyond anything we've ever seen." He turns to Anakin and Ahsoka. "We need to coordinate with the Republic immediately. This changes everything."
Anakin, nods in agreement.
Bubba- "If they are grouping up, maybe we could begin to hit the spires?"
Captain Cutter leans forward intently, "Now that is a thought. We need to know what's happening out there." He exchanges glances with his Republic counterparts before turning back to the group. "We could hit multiple spires with a combined assault, but we need a strategy. Those things are built for defense. They're like miniature fortresses."
Dr. Anderson interjects, her mind clearly whirring with tactical possibilities. "And we'd have to deal with whatever is on the other side of those portals when they open."
Bubba- "This is a last resort option, and it would piss off the monitor, but we could blow the spires to kingdom come with Mac rounds right? My other idea would be to contact the monitor to combine forces with the sentinels"
Captain Cutter strokes his chin thoughtfully. "Blowing the spires with MAC rounds is a risky gambit. We'd be inviting the wrath of the monitor down upon us. But it's not entirely out of the question if it comes to that." He glances at Dr. Anderson, who nods in agreement.
"As for contacting the monitor, that's a delicate matter. The sentinels are a formidable force, but they're not exactly known for their diplomacy." Captain Cutter leans back in his chair, his eyes narrowing. "We'd need a damn good reason to get the monitor to even consider an alliance. And we'd have to be prepared for the fallout if it goes south."
Bubba- "I could go with a small team. Apparently making allies is my superpower, Captain"
Captain Cutter raises an eyebrow, a hint of a smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. "A small team, huh? You sure you're up for that, Bubba?" He glances around the Pelican's cabin, taking in the assortment of formidable individuals - the Jedi Knights, the UNSC ODSTs, and the otherworldly allies Bubba has assembled. "Because if we're going to make this work, we need someone who can navigate the tricky waters of diplomacy and keep the team in one piece."
Anakin leans forward, his eyes locked on yours. "Bubba, you've shown that you have a unique perspective."
Bubba- "If it's diplomacy then I should take the Jedi, Obi-Wan. The magic users can clearly take on the banished, which would free up Jerome and Ratchet"
Obi-Wan, in hologram, nods solemnly at the mention of his name. "I will accompany you, Bubba. The ways of the Force may prove useful in negotiations, and I have faced the Banished before. I know their tactics and their cruelty." He turns to Anakin and Ahsoka. "You two should stay here and coordinate with Captain Cutter. Your skills will be crucial in any direct confrontations that may arise."
Ahsoka nods in agreement, her lekku swaying gently as she speaks. "We'll hold down the fort here. Make sure to keep us updated on your progress, and be careful out there."
Captain Cutter leans forward, his face grim. "The Banished forces are already starting to mobilize. We don't have much time before they launch a full-scale counter-attack." He turns to Bubba and the Jedi. "You need to reach the monitor's domain as soon as possible. Every minute we waste gives them more time to gather their strength and plan their next move."
Bubba, manic as hell, "I'll board a ship with Obi-Wan ASAP. Emilia, can you guys still fight? Should we switch yall out with someone or just rely on the clones for backup?"
Emilia steps forward, her face set in a determined expression. "We can still fight, Bubba. My magic is strong, and Subaru's powers are growing." She glances at her knight, who nods in agreement. "But we understand if you need to keep us back. Our safety is important, but so is our ability to help."
Captain Cutter interjects, his hand resting on the comm unit. "We can spare a few ODSTs to provide backup for your team, Bubba. They're trained for this kind of high-risk operation." He pauses, then adds, "But remember, we're stretched thin as it is."
Bubba, his mind racing, "Alright, how about we take Garfeil, me, Obi-Wan, and the ODST to find the monitor. You guys can form the big plans and we can all hope that the UNSC got our message"
Captain Cutter nods slowly, his face grave. "Alright, Bubba. You've got your team. But remember, this is a high-risk operation. The Banished will be on high alert, and the monitor's domain is..." He pauses, searching for the right words. "...well, let's just say it's not exactly a friendly place."
Obi-Wan "The monitor's domain is a place of ancient power, Bubba. Be prepared for anything. And remember, our primary goal is to establish contact, not start a war." He turns to the ODSTs. "You men will need to be at your absolute best."
Bubba grins, "I've already got on the monitor's good side. I'm ready.”
The ODST team leader, Corporal Hawkins, steps forward. "We'll have your back, sir. Just let us know when to move out." His tone is confident, but you notice the tight lines around his eyes that betray his tension. "But first, we need to discuss tactics. The monitor's domain is full of attacking prometheans."
Obi-Wan nods gravely. "Indeed. The Prometheans are a formidable foe. Their shields and weapons are designed to counter both physical and Force attacks." He turns to Bubba, his face set in a serious mask. "We must be prepared for a fight, Bubba. And we must be ready to retreat if necessary. The monitor's domain is not a place for the faint of heart."
Bubba- "Then I'll see you guys soon, me and Garf here will be ready"
Garfeil, standing nearby, gives a determined nod, his eyes reflecting a mix of excitement and apprehension. "I'm ready when you are, Brother! Let's show them what we're made of." He adjusts his gear, ensuring everything is secure and ready for the journey ahead.
Captain Cutter stands straight, his voice firm and resolute. "Alright, team. You've got your orders. Bubba, Obi-Wan, and Garfeil will head to the monitor's domain. The rest of us will hold down the fort and coordinate our efforts. Remember, communication is key. Keep us updated on your progress and be prepared for anything." The pelican hums with a tense energy as the group prepares to disperse. Anakin and Ahsoka exchange a glance, a silent understanding passing between them. They know the weight of the task ahead and the importance of their roles in this grand alliance. Captain Cutter's face tightens as he delivers his final instruction.
"Bubba, Obi-Wan, and Garfeil - you have six hours to make contact with the monitor. If you don't reach him in that time, we'll assume the worst and activate the backup plan. Is that understood?" He turns to the other members of the group. "The rest of you, get ready for the next phase of our operation. We need to be prepared for any eventuality."
The pelican makes its way to the new combined fleet, a sight Bubba only dreamed of seeing. Landing in the hangar and quickly disembarking Subaru gave Bubba a silent nod before leaving with Emilia and the others. Bubba heads to where obi wan and a group of ODST are waiting by an equipped pelican.
"You've made an impression Bubba, I must admit I was worried our talks with Captain Cutter were going sideways." Obi-Wan turns to you, his eyes reflecting a mix of respect and caution. "But I see you've handled the situation with your… tenacity. The monitor's domain is treacherous, but with your unique perspective and Garfeil's prowess, we stand a chance."
Garfeil, ever the optimist, grins. "I've faced worse than some ancient scrap metal and its robotic minions. Besides, I've got Bubba and Obi-Wan by my side. What could go wrong?"
Obi-Wan raises an eyebrow. "Indeed, let us hope your optimism is well-founded. Remember, the Prometheans are relentless and their numbers are vast."
Bubba- "How are the prometheans even getting here? We've got 6 hours. If we could just turn them off that would make this a cake walk"
Obi-Wan rubs his beard and speaks, "They are attacking the banished, what if we made them seem like a greater threat? Drawing the prometheans to them?"
The ODST team leader, Corporal Hawkins, steps forward. "That's not a bad idea, sir. If we could somehow make the Banished appear more threatening, it might draw the Prometheans' attention away from us." He turns to his men, who are already checking their equipment and preparing for the mission. "We'd need a way to boost the Banished signal, maybe use their own technology against them,"
Obi-Wan nods approvingly. "Perhaps a targeted electromagnetic pulse, directed specifically at their communication systems, could serve our purpose without drawing too much attention." The Jedi Master turns to Bubba, his face a mask of contemplation. "But we must act quickly."
Bubba- "That makes sense! If the banished appear weak it could also draw the prometheans in. Can we emp the banished Stronghold?"
Obi-Wan considers the suggestion, his eyes narrowing as he ponders the strategic implications. "An electromagnetic pulse at the stronghold could indeed disrupt their communications and potentially weaken their defenses. However, we must ensure that the pulse is strong enough to be detected by the Prometheans but not so powerful that it alerts the Banished to our presence. It's a delicate balance, but one we must strike if we are to succeed."
If you encounter this tale on Amazon, note that it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
> You say "Ok here's an idea. We make it to the monitor, ask him to use the sentinel's to overload the Banished shields all at once. The emp blast from that would draw the prometheans away, letting us escape? It's not perfect, but at least it gives us a way out"
Garfeil looks up at you with a mix of awe and respect, his eyes gleaming with excitement at your plan. "Bubba, you're a mad genius! That could work! The monitor controls the sentinels, right? If he can overload their shields at the same time, that electromagnetic pulse would be massive!"
Corporal Hawkins nods approvingly. "And it would definitely get the Prometheans' attention. The electromagnetic field generated by that many overloading shields would be impossible to miss. We'd have to be quick, though - as soon as the pulse goes off, they'll know we're working with the monitor."
Obi-Wan's face breaks into a thoughtful smile. "Your plan, while risky, has merit, Bubba. The monitor has the power to control the sentinels, so coordinating a massive shield overload is not beyond his capabilities. However, we must consider that the Banished may have defensive measures against such an attack." He places a hand on his shoulder. "The key is precision and timing. We need to coordinate with the UNSC and the Republic for maximum effect. This plan could turn the tide, but it may also put you in grave danger, as the Banished won't take kindly to such deception."
Bubba growls- "I hope they don't take kindly to it. Times of the essence right? Are we ready to roll? Hawkins, can you let the Captain know of our plan. They are about to launch attacks anyway right?"
Obi-Wan nods grimly. "Indeed, the Banished are amassing their forces. We must move quickly."
Corporal Hawkins taps his comm unit. "Copy that, Captain. We've got a plan that might turn the tide, but it's risky. We need you to coordinate with our Jedi allies and the UNSC for maximum effect." Corporal Hawkins listens intently to the response from Captain Cutter, his expression serious. "Understood, sir. We'll move out immediately. Hawkins out." He turns to the group, his voice steady and determined. "Captain Cutter is on board. He's coordinating with the UNSC and our Jedi allies. We have a green light to proceed."
Obi-Wan steps forward, his blue lightsaber igniting with a soft hum. "Then let us waste no time. The fate of this mission and the safety of our allies depend on our swift and precise actions. May the Force be with us all."
Bubba holds back laughter, "You know what they say..."
Obi-Wan raises an eyebrow, a hint of curiosity in his voice. "What do they say, Bubba?"
He chuckled and walked into the pelican.
The ODSTs exchange amused glances, chuckling softly at his humor. "Hey now, that ain't so funny," Hawkins mocks, a grin spreading across his face as he follows him into the Pelican.
The engines whine to life, and the Pelican lifts off from the deck of the Spirit of Fire, its engines roaring as it soars towards the coordinates of the Banished stronghold. The conversation turns to discussing the mission's parameters, with everyone sharing their unique perspectives on what to expect when they reach the Banished outpost. Obi-Wan sits silently in the back, his blue eyes fixed on the horizon, his face a mask of calmness, ready for whatever lies ahead.
. . .
The ride to the monitor's fortress compound is short, and the promethean presence is overwhelming. Were it not for the local sentinels fighting them, the mission wouldn't be possible. The Pelican lands softly, the ramp opening.
Bubba and the team exit the Pelican into a barren wasteland of a fortress. The massive compound stretches endlessly, its geometric architecture both beautiful and ominous. Prometheans skulk around, their shields flickering in the harsh red light.
Obi-Wan takes point, his blue lightsaber casting an ethereal glow through the darkness. "We must move swiftly and quietly," he murmurs.
“Bubba gets an idea, “Oh shit, Garfeil, could you use your ground magic to get us to the main compound quickly?”
Garfeil nods, his eyes gleaming with determination. "I can try, but I've never attempted anything on this scale before. The ground beneath us quakes slightly as Garfeil concentrates. "Everyone, grab onto me!" he shouts, just as the ground beneath us starts to ripple and flow like a liquid. They feel the compound rushing past them, the scenery blurring as they're propelled forward at incredible speed.
Obi-Wan's eyes go wide with surprise at the magical display, his grip tightening on his lightsaber. The Prometheans seem to sense our approach, their shields flaring as they turn to face us, weapons at the ready. Garfeil's magic propels the group at incredible speed through the fortress compound.. Suddenly, they skid to a halt at the base of the central spire, the air shimmering around them as Garfeil releases his spell. The massive structure looms overhead, pulsing with an eerie red light that casts long shadows across the cracked and pitted ground.
Corporal Hawkins quickly scans the area, his rifle at the ready. "Looks like we're clear for now, but those Prometheans won't stay distracted for long. We need to get inside and find the monitor's control center fast."
Obi-Wan nods, his gaze fixed on the towering spire. "Indeed. The monitor's control center should be at the heart of the compound. Once we secure it, we can coordinate the sentinels' actions and hopefully overload the Banished shields."
Garfeil wipes a bead of sweat from his brow, looking slightly drained from the exertion of his magic. "I can try to create a diversion to draw some of the Prometheans away, but I'll need a few minutes to recover my mana first."
Bubba surveys the area, his eyes narrowing as he spots a small group of Prometheans moving in their direction. "Looks like we might not have those few minutes."
> You say "Garf we may need you inside and I'm not leaving you here. I say we barrel into the structure. Obi-Wan can use the force to guide us somewhat"
Obi-Wan considers this for a moment before nodding solemnly. "Bubba is right, Garfeil. We can't afford to split up our forces, even for a diversion. We stand a better chance of success by staying together." The Jedi master takes a step forward, his eyes closed as he reaches out with the Force. Bubba feels a tingling sensation at the back of his neck as the energy flows through the air. "This way," he says, striding purposefully towards a set of massive blast doors. They shudder and crack as Obi-Wan lifts his hand, the metal slowly bending and ripping apart, creating a large enough opening for the party to pass through.
Bubba "Deja vu..."
Corporal Hawkins chuckles as he passes through the ruined doorway, his rifle at the ready. "Hey, I get it. You guys are all magic users, right? I've never been on a mission with so many mages before. It's... different."
Bubba- "Actually I'm just some guy. No training or anything."
Obi-Wan turns back, his hood falling to reveal a look of genuine surprise. "You... are not a Force user or magic user of some kind?" The Jedi's normally stoic face shows clear incredulity as he regards you. "But how have you survived thus far? And... how do you know so much about combat tactics and equipment if you lack proper training?"
Before he can respond, a series of explosions rocks the compound, sending debris raining down from above. "Save the questions for later, everyone!" Garfeil shouts, ducking as a piece of ceiling smashes to the ground nearby. "We've got more immediate problems!" The floor quakes violently, forcing them to stumble and catch themselves against the wall. The sound of distant screams and clashing weapons echoes through the fortress.
Hawkins curses under his breath, peering down the hallway with narrowed eyes. "Sounds like the prometheans spotted us. They'll be swarming this position soon."
Obi-Wan closes his eyes for a moment, reaching out with the Force. His brow furrows in concentration as he probes the alien structure with his senses. After a tense few seconds, his eyes snap open, a determined glint in their emerald depths. "I've located the control center. It's deep within the spire, protected by layers of defensive measures and full of prometheans. The quaking intensifies, forcing them to brace themselves against the shaking walls. Obi-Wan's words are nearly drowned out by the cacophonous roar of the prometheans fast approaching.
Hawkins takes up a defensive position near the door, his rifle trained on the darkened hallway. "Sounds like a whole lot of pissed-off constructs. We're going to need to move fast if we want to reach the control center in one piece."
Garfeil takes a deep breath, his eyes glowing with renewed magical energy. "I can slow them down a bit, but we'll need to keep moving. I can't maintain this form for long." The mage steps forward, and turns into a massive half cheetah half man towering 12 feet in height with a massive chest and set of arms. The transformation sends a shockwave through the room, and the Prometheans' distant roars grow louder, more insistent. Obi-Wan's gaze flickers to Garfeil, a hint of respect in his eyes. "Impressive. Let us press forward, then. Stay close, and be ready for anything."
The group moves swiftly, Garfeil's massive form leading the way. The half- cheetah half man's presence is imposing, his magical aura pulsating with raw power. The Prometheans, sensing the intrusion, begin to pour into the hallway, their mechanical forms clattering and whirring. Hawkins opens fire, his bullets sparking off the approaching constructs. "They're coming in waves! We need to keep moving!" The group presses forward, with Garfeil's massive form clearing a path through the narrow corridors.
Obi-Wan uses the Force to sense the layout of the fortress, guiding the group through a maze of twisting passages. "The control center is just ahead, be prepared for heavy resistance." The group emerges into a larger chamber, dominated by a massive, pulsing core at its center. Garfeil's magical form flickers dangerously, casting an ominous glow on the chamber's metallic walls. The massive constructs advance, their weapons humming with deadly purpose.
Obi-Wan raises his lightsaber, its green glow cutting through the dim light of the chamber. "We're about to have company. Get ready!" The mechanical army surges forward, their metallic forms clanking against each other as they close in, threatening to engulf the group in a mechanical nightmare. Hawkins and the other ODSTs open fire, their weapons flashing in the dark chamber as they attempt to thin out the approaching horde.
Bubba maps out the situation quickly, "I've got to find the monitor guys, cover me"
Hawkins nods grimly, his rifle barking as he lays down covering fire. "You heard the man, ODSTs! Give him some breathing room!" The soldiers fan out, pouring fire into the advancing horde of Prometheans. Their bullets spark and ricochet off the constructs' metallic hides, but the relentless barrage keeps them at bay.
Garfeil roars, his massive form surging forward to meet the oncoming wave of machines. His fists, each the size of a man's torso, smash into the constructs, sending them flying in all directions. Sparks and shrieks of tearing metal fill the air as he wades into the fray, his magical aura pulsing with raw, primal power.
"519! Adamant Retainer!” Bubba yells, heading to the console"
His shout echoes through the chamber as he sprints toward a massive, ominous control panel. The Prometheans' advance momentarily stutters as the ancient words echo through the chamber. The massive control panel, covered in intricate Forerunner glyphs, pulses with an eerie blue light. As he approaches, the glyphs begin to glow more intensely, and a resonant hum fills the air. The panel emits a sharp, piercing tone that makes his ache.
Obi-Wan's eyes narrow as he watches him, clearly concerned. "Be careful, my friend. We’ll cover you!”
Bubba- "5 1 9 we've got a plan, where are you?"
The Forerunner glyphs flare with an almost painful intensity as his voice echoes through the chamber. For a moment, the panel goes dark, then sparks to life. A disembodied, otherworldly voice responds: "Reclaimer, this area is nearing collapse, why have you come here?"
Bubba shouts, "We've got a plan and didn't know how to find you otherwise!"
The disembodied voice seems to consider this for a moment before responding, its tone a mix of curiosity and concern. "A plan, you say? And what, pray tell, is the nature of this plan that has led you to this perilous location?"
As the voice speaks, the chamber begins to shudder violently. The Prometheans, momentarily stunned by the sudden appearance of the Forerunner presence, now surge forward with renewed vigor, their mechanical forms clanking and whirring as they close in on their position.
Obi-Wan, Hawkins, and the other ODSTs redouble their efforts, pouring fire into the advancing horde.
Bubba- "Monitor 519, if we use the sentinel's to override the banished shields we can cause an emp. The prometheans will flock to that location, as this one is already compromised like you say. Our army is attacking them as well"
The disembodied voice of Monitor 519 seems to ponder your words for a long moment, the eerie silence broken only by the cacophonous clamor of the Promethean horde bearing down upon you. Finally, the monitor speaks, its tone a mix of resignation and grim determination.
"Very well, Reclaimer. Your plan, while risky, may be our only hope. I will activate the sentinels and initiate the electromagnetic pulse. The Prometheans will be drawn to the source of the disturbance, but be warned - the Banished will not take kindly to this ploy. You must evacuate the area immediately upon completion of the pulse."
Bubba nods, "Understood, what about you? I thought this was your control room?"
The disembodied voice of Monitor 519 seems to hesitate for a moment before responding, its tone tinged with a mix of resignation and grim determination. "This control room has served its purpose, Reclaimer. It is time for me to join my brethren in the final defense of this world. I will remain here to ensure the successful execution of the electromagnetic pulse, but I cannot guarantee my own survival. You must leave this place and rally your forces for the coming battle." As the monitor speaks, the chamber begins to shudder violently, the very foundations of the ancient structure groaning in protest.
Bubba grinds his teeth in resignation, unable to save someone, "Understood. I'll look for you later. May the mantle guide you 519. Obi-Wan! Let's get the hell out of here! Plan successful!"
Obi-Wan nods grimly, his lightsaber igniting with a hum as he falls into step beside him. "The monitor's sacrifice will not be in vain, my friend. We must make haste and rally our forces for the battle to come." The Jedi Master's words are barely audible over the roar of the advancing Prometheans and the ominous groaning of the ancient structure around them.
The ODSTs, their faces set with grim determination, form a tight perimeter around Bubba and Obi-Wan as they make their way towards the chamber's exit. Hawkins barks orders, his voice steady even as the horde of mechanical abominations bears down upon them. The group bursts out of the chamber into a narrow corridor lined with flickering lights. Behind them, a deafening explosion rocks the fortress as the electromagnetic pulse detonates. The Prometheans' advance slows momentarily as their systems are affected, their movements becoming jerky and erratic. Through the chaos, Hawkins shouted, "They're still coming, but we've got some breathing room! Move, move, move!"
The allies sprint down the corridor, with Obi-Wan using the Force to sense and guide their path. The floor trembles beneath their feet as the pulse continues its effects, causing sections of the ceiling to crack and crumble. The group races through the collapsing fortress, the walls crumbling around them. The Prometheans' mechanical moans echo through the corridors as they lurch forward, their systems still disrupted.Hawkins shouts coordinates and covers the rear while Garfeil uses his magical abilities to create protective barriers against falling debris.
Finally, they reach the exit of the fortress. As they burst out of the fortress, the sight that greets you is one of chaos and destruction. The once-pristine landscape is crumbling from the collapsing super structure. The pelican is seen swooping in for pickup As they burst out of the crumbling fortress, the Pelican swoops in to make a hasty pickup. The pilot, Corporal Harris, expertly maneuvers the craft amidst the debris and falling structures. Hawkins looks back, ensuring that everyone is accounted for as they scramble aboard. Obi-Wan, his lightsaber still ignited, provides cover, deflecting chunks of falling masonry and ensuring the safety of the group.
Once everyone is safely aboard, Harris pulls the Pelican up and away from the collapsing stronghold. The view from the cockpit is one of utter devastation, with the once-mighty Forerunner fortress reduced to a pile of rubble.
Bubba pants, exhausted, “Damn guys, I'm 4 for 4 on big fights in 2 days. I need a snack.”
Hawkins chuckles, slapping you on the back as you settle into a seat on the Pelican. "Damn right you do! I've got a few energy bars stashed away if you want 'em. You earned it, Bubba." The grizzled ODST produces a couple of the high-energy ration bars, tossing one his way. The others in the squad murmur in agreement, with even the Jedi looking on approvingly.
Garfeil leans over from across the aisle. "You've been quite impressive in battle, friend. I confess I underestimated the strength of Earthlings. You're a natural leader, it seems."
As Bubba bites into the energy bar, he can't help but grin. Obi-Wan takes a seat across from him, "So about my question, what is your story Bubba?" He finishes swallowing the energy bar, then meets Obi-Wan's steady gaze. The Pelican rattles around them as it leaves the atmosphere.
"Well," Bubba began, "I hate to say this, but I'm worried If I tell you, you guys will freak out." The Pelican's engines whine as it ascends, and Hawkins leans forward with keen interest. "What's that, now? Freak out? Don't be holding back on us, Bubba. We've seen some weird shit in our time."
Obi-Wan's face remains impassive, his blue eyes fixed on him. "Perhaps we are not as fragile as you think, my friend. The Force binds all living things, and your story may well resonate with our own experiences, no matter how extraordinary it may seem."
Garfeil nods in agreement, as he shifts in his seat.
Bubba sighs, "Well, you guys understand the multiverse by now right?"
Obi-Wan and Garfeil exchange knowing glances, while Hawkins scoffs. "Course we do, bubba. That's why we're all stuck here with the banished."
Bubba swallows, "Well, infinite possibilities and all that. Let's say you guys have a favorite show or story? Somewhere out there that's really happening, in an infinite amount of ways..."
Hawkins leans back in his seat, stroking his stubbled chin thoughtfully. "Aye, I get what you're saying, Bubba. Like how I've always had a soft spot for those old WWI flicks. Gotta be a world out there where the Central Powers won the whole damn thing, eh?"
Garfeil chimes in, his eyes twinkling with intrigue. "Yep, and what of the multiverse where magic reigns supreme, as in my own world?”
Obi-Wan's gaze drifts, as if seeing beyond the confines of the Pelican, "Where are you going with this Bubba?"
Bubba takes a breath, "Ok, nows y’alls chance NOT to freak out. Sigh. In my world your people's adventures are stories to me. TV shows, games, the works. That's why I know so much"
The Pelican falls silent, save for the whine of its engines. Hawkins' face contorts in confusion, while Obi-Wan's eyes narrow slightly. "You mean to say, in your world, our struggles, our triumphs, are mere entertainment?" The Jedi Master's voice carries a note of disbelief.
Garfeil's face pales, his magical aura flickering. "I see! It’s like how I know all those old stories I reference!."
Bubba laughs, "Exactly I'm what's called a geek, Garfeil. I just remember a lot about the stories that fascinate you. And remember, everyone's story is a TV show in some reality. That's what you just agreed to.
"OK, I'm freaking out.", said a marine.
The Pelican's cabin erupts in a flurry of activity as the revelation sinks in. Hawkins nearly chokes on his energy bar, while Garfeil's magical aura flickers wildly. Obi-Wan's usually stoic demeanor cracks, his eyes wide with shock. "But that would mean," he begins, then pauses, struggling to process the implications.
Bubba- "It means I know quite a lot about most of you guys. Sorry, I've been trying to be helpful."
Hawkins shakes his head in disbelief, chuckling nervously. "Well, I'll be damned. Never thought I'd be stuck on a planet with a walking encyclopedia of our stories. It's a trip, bubba, I'll give you that."
Garfeil's eyes widen as he leans forward, his voice trembling with a mix of awe and unease. "So in your world, our very lives, our struggles, are nothing more than tales for entertainment? It's... it's almost too much to comprehend."
Obi-Wan's gaze remains fixed on Bubba, his brow furrowed in deep contemplation. "I'm struggling to grasp the full implications, Bubba. You say you're a 'geek' - what does that mean, exactly? And if you know so much about us, why aren't you better prepared for what we're facing here? Surely, if it's all stories to you, you'd know the outcomes and be more ready."
The Pelican descends lower, its engines growling as they approach the Spirit of Fire. Through the window, as they enter the hangar they can see the surviving UNSC forces gathering, along with several Jedi, including Anakin, Ahsoka, and Captain Rex. Bubba’s group, however, remains silent, still processing your revelation.
Bubba shakes his head, "This must be some guys fanfiction crossover. Sorry guys, I have no idea what happens here. I might be able to help the UNSC a little bit. Garfeil I already told Subaru what I could about you guys. Obi-Wan told Anakin who the sith lord is. I'll keep trying to remember if anything else is important"
Hawkins lets out a low whistle, his face a picture of astonishment. "Well, I'll be damned. You're like our own personal wiki, Bubba. Just hope you can keep up with all this craziness we've got going on."
Obi-Wan leans back in his seat, his expression thoughtful. "A fanfiction crossover, you say? How... intriguing. It would explain the rather eclectic mix of worlds and beings we've encountered here." He turns to you, his eyes searching. "But if this is indeed a story, why are you here?"
Bubba’s eyes widened "Oh god you're right! I must be some nerd’s OC character! The horror!"
Hawkins chuckles and claps him on the shoulder, his eyes twinkling with mirth. "Well Bubba, looks like you're more than just our resident storyteller. You're a part of the story now! And I'd say you've got a hell of a part to play too. With the knowledge you got, you're gonna be crucial in getting all of us through this mess. So chin up, and let's get to it!"
Garfeil nods vigorously, "So what do you know about my amazing self Bubba?"
"And who is the sith lord?" Asked Obi-Wan
BUbba- "Garfeil you win all your fights until you meet a cheating asshole. If Priscilla dies, Al will try to capture Subaru, and Al's authority gives him the ability to redo his fights over and over. He fights Reinhardt over 130000 times and manages to summon satella. Obi-Wan, equally disturbing, it's Palpatine. He's been manipulating the war from both sides and Anikin to groom him into an heir. Making the Jedi look bad and stuff."
The Pelican's cabin erupts into chaos as the revelation hits everyone like a shockwave. Hawkins sputters on his energy bar, while Garfeil's magical aura flares violently, his face draining of color.
Obi-Wan's eyes narrow dangerously, a dark expression crossing his features, "Palpatine, and he wants to turn Anakin?"
Garfeil's eyes widen in shock, his voice trembling as he speaks, "And you're saying that Al, that cheating scoundrel, is going to keep resetting fights until he wins? That's... that's just not right! I can't believe it. And poor Priscilla, if she dies..." He trails off, shaking his head in disbelief.
Bubba- "Garfeil I already told Subaru to keep her alive, it should work out. Obi-Wan there's more than Anakin should tell you, it's his business not mine"
Hawkins' face lights up with a mischievous grin. "Well, well, looks like our resident storyteller here is playing both sides of the fence. Keeping secrets and all that jazz. I like it, Bubba. Gives you some mystery, you know?"
Garfeil's face contorts in a complex expression, his emotions shifting rapidly. "You've already told Subaru? About me? About my... my fate?" He swallows hard, his hands clenching and unclenching at his sides. "I suppose I should be grateful for the warning, but... but to know that I'm destined to lose, it's... it's hard to process, Bubba."
Bubba shakes his head, "Well you won't lose now. You literally fight giant dragons and win Garfeil. You beat an undead 8 arm Kurgan in Watergate city. I confirmed with Subaru what time you guys were taken from, Obi-Wans was obvious. I'm a little iffy on the UNSC, I think it's before Halo 5"
The Pelican rocks slightly as it lands in the hangar. Hawkins leans forward, his face alight with curiosity. "So you're saying Garfeil here is gonna take on some big bad dragons and win? That's something to look forward to, at least. And an undead 8-armed Kurgan? Sounds like a hell of a fight!"
Garfeil's posture straightens, a spark of defiance igniting in his eyes. "I... I will not lose. Not to some cheating bastard or anyone else. I'll show them all what I'm capable of, Bubba. You'll see." He turns to Bubba, his gaze intense. "And thank you for the information."
Bubba "If we have time privately there's more you should know Garfeil. Obi-Wan you've been quiet?"
Obi-Wan turns his gaze from the window, his eyes reflecting the sterile hangar outside. "I have been contemplating the implications of what you've shared. Palpatine's machinations are not new to me, but the extent of his manipulations and the involvement of Anakin... it is troubling. I must speak with Anakin and the others about this. And the revelation of your knowledge of our future, the future of our worlds, it is a heavy burden to bear, Bubba. I will need time to process this, to understand the role you play in all of this."
Garfeil nods, his expression a mix of determination and gratitude. "I appreciate the offer, Bubba."
Bubba nods, "Well Obi-Wan, if yall defeat Palps then I have no idea what will happen next, well, not nearly as much as before."
Hawkins chuckles, "Sounds like you might be in the business of creating new stories for us, huh bubba? Keep us on our toes and all that jazz. But hey, if you're up for it, we could always use some fresh plot twists to spice things up around here." He winks at you conspiratorially.
Garfeil leans forward, his eyes shining with curiosity and anticipation. "Bubba, you've piqued my interest with your mention of more information to share. What other secrets do you hold about my future? About the fates of my friends and foes? I'm all ears."
Bubba- "Garfeil it's definitely a private matter. Someone you love is in Watergate city"
Garfeil's face pales, his breath catching in his throat. "In Watergate city? But that's... that's where we're heading now, or then?..." He trails off, his hands shaking slightly as he clutches them together. "Bubba, you can't just drop something like that and not explain. Who? Who is it? And what's going to happen to them?"
Hawkins, sensing the gravity of the situation, leans back in his seat, giving Garfeil some space. "Hey, take it easy, man. If it's something private, we can talk about it later, yeah? No need to get all worked up here in the Pelican."
Bubba- "Hawkins could you radio command and ask how things are going? Maybe we can have some down time after that flight?"
Hawkins nods, understanding the gravity of the situation. He pulls out a small communication device and begins to speak into it. A moment later Cutter responds curtly.
"Thanks, Captain. We'll be ready. Over and out." He turns back to the group, "Well, looks like we've got a bit of a breather once we land."
Bubba- "Garfeil ill speak with you ASAP ok? Obi-Wan let me know if y’all come up with any questions after speaking with Anakin"
Garfeil nods, visibly agitated. "I'll hold you to that, Bubba. I need to know." He turns to exit the pelican, his mind clearly preoccupied. Obi-Wan places a reassuring hand on Garfeil's shoulder.
"Peace, young one. We will unravel this mystery together, in due time." The Jedi Master's eyes meet yours, a complex look in them. "I will indeed relay any insights I gain from Anakin. Your revelations have shifted the very foundations of my understanding. I must meditate on this further."
Hawkins stretches in his seat, then leans forward conspiratorially.
Bubba- "Hawkins there's not much I can warn you guys on. Pretty sure they are rebooting the series. The last studio absolutely messed it all up to hell."
Hawkins raises an eyebrow, a smirk playing at the corners of his mouth. "Rebooting, huh? Well, that's not the first time we've had to start over from scratch. But if they're messing it up, that's a shame. We've got a good thing going here, even if it is a bit... unpredictable." He gestures to the hangar outside, the remnants of the reality distortion still visible in the distance.
Bubba "Your universe will continue for you man heh. Every version exists. Multiverse"
Hawkins chuckles, "That's deep, Bubba. A multiverse, huh? That explains a lot." He rubs his chin thoughtfully. "So we've got all these parallel universes, all these versions of us running around, and here I am, just trying to keep this version of me in one piece." He glances at Obi-Wan and Garfeil.
"You know, in a way, it's kind of comforting. No matter what happens here, we'll always exist somewhere, right? As long as the multiverse keeps turning, that is.". The pelican lands ramp finally opens into the hangar and the team is met with Subaru, Beatrice, Emilia, Cutter, Anakin, and Ahsoka
"Bubba! I'm so glad you're safe!" Emilia exclaims, rushing to greet you with a warm hug. Her silver hair falls around her shoulders as she steps back, a smile on her face. "We were so worried after the compound's explosion."
Subaru looks at him with jealousy and he throws your hands up to signify they aren't touching Emilia. Emilia laughs, sensing the tension. "Oh Subaru, don't be like that. We all need to be friends here."
"Hawkins let's get you debriefed and up to speed.", says Cutter.
"Anakin, we have much to discuss.", Obi-Wan says.
Anakin Skywalker steps forward, "Indeed we do, Master. The Banished movements grow bolder, and I sense a dark presence stirring in the Force. We must act quickly."
Bubba- "Garfeil let's find somewhere to rest and we can talk. Subaru you lot are welcome to join us"
Garfeil nods, his expression a mix of relief and apprehension. "Yes, let's find a quiet place to talk. I need to understand what's going on." He looks at Subaru, Emilia, and Beatrice, who all nod in agreement.
Emilia takes the lead, guiding the group through the bustling hangar. "I know just the place. It's a small lounge area where we can talk privately." She leads them through a maze of corridors, the hum of machinery and the distant chatter of soldiers fading into the background. The lounge is dimly lit, with comfortable chairs and a small table. It offers a sense of seclusion amidst the chaos of the base.
Bubba places his hands together, "Alright Garfeil are you sitting down?"
Garfeil settles into a chair, his eyes fixed on you with an intensity that borders on desperation. "I'm ready.
Bubba- "I can’t do anything but blunt honesty man, autism heh. Okay! Your mother is alive in Watergate city. She has 2 kids and a husband, her husband dies in the battle for the city with the cult. She lost her memories and doesn't regain them. In the show I believe you just come to terms with it and leave them be. I would suggest making friends, personally. I'm sorry man, I know that's a lot"
Garfeil's eyes widen in shock, his face paling as the weight of his words sink in. For a long moment, he is silent, his gaze distant as if staring into a void. When he finally speaks, his voice is barely above a whisper, laden with a mixture of hope and anguish.
"My mother... alive? In Watergate City?" He repeats the words as if testing their taste, their reality. "And I have... siblings? A stepfather?" The questions tumble out, each one a dagger to his heart, a wound that has lain dormant for so long.
“I’m guessing you told them about your… knowledge Bubba?” Subaru asked.
Bubba nodded solemnly. Subaru, Emilia, and Beatrice exchange glances, their expressions a mix of sympathy and unease.
Garfeil's hands tremble slightly as he runs them through his hair, a gesture of frustration and disbelief. "Why didn't I know this? Why didn't anyone tell me?" He looks up, his eyes searching yours for answers, for solace.
Emilia, her voice soft and soothing, reaches out to place a comforting hand on Garfeil's shoulder. "Bubba wouldn't have told us if it weren't true, Garfeil. We have to believe that. It's a lot to take in, but we're here for you."
Subaru nods in agreement, his initial jealousy forgotten in the face of Garfeil's revelation. "Yeah, man. We'll figure this out together." Garfeil takes a deep, shuddering breath, his eyes closed as he tries to compose himself. When he speaks again, his voice is steadier, though still tinged with emotion. "I need to see them. I need to know if... if they're really my family." He looks at Bubba, a desperate plea in his eyes. "Can you take me to them? To Watergate City?"
Subaru frowns, a note of concern in his voice. "Garfeil, I understand how you feel, but we're trapped here for now." He gestures around the lounge, at the walls that seem to be closing in. "The Banished are out there, and we can't just leave."
Emilia nods in agreement, her hand still resting on Garfeil's shoulder. "Subaru's right. We need to focus on the mission first, but we'll find a way to help you see them. I promise."
Garfeil's shoulders slump, his hope deflating visibly. "You're right. I know you're right, but..." He trails off, his eyes brimming with unshed tears. "It's just... it's been so long. And now I have this chance... this family... and I can't even go to them."
Beatrice leans forward, her eyes locked on Garfeil with an intensity that suggests she understands the pain of a lost family. "Garfeil, I've been in a similar situation. I know how much it hurts not to be able to see your family when you want to." She pauses, then continues. "But remember, you're not alone in this. You have us, I suppose."
Bubba- "Well, if yall need a moment let me know. I'm the only one here without a team so idk what to do. I could talk to Bell, I guess?"
Garfeil looks up at him, his eyes reflecting a mix of gratitude and determination. "Thank you, Bubba. I appreciate it. I need a moment to process this, but I'll be fine. I promise." He takes a deep breath, his expression hardening with resolve. "For now, let's focus on the mission. We can't afford to be distracted."
Emilia nods, her grip on Garfeil's shoulder tightening slightly. "That's the spirit. We'll get through this together, Garfeil. And when the time's right, we'll find a way to Watergate City." She turns to Bubba, her eyes softening. "You're right, Bubba." "I'm here for you too, Bubba. I know it's gotta be tough being the odd man out. "Being the only one without a team, I mean." She offers you a warm, reassuring smile, and he nods, appreciating her understanding. Garfeil looks up at him, his face revealing a complex mix of emotions.
"I'm glad you're with us, Bubba. I know you didn't have to tell me all this, and I appreciate your honesty." His words are sincere, and gratitude is evident on his face as he speaks. "You've given me more than you realize. Now I have hope for a future I never thought possible."
Bubba smiles "It's nice to be helpful. Speaking of which, I had an idea I wanted to share with Cutter"
Garfeil nods, a small, appreciative smile crossing his face. "I'd like to hear that idea too, Bubba. It might help take my mind off things."
Emilia agrees, her curiosity evident. "Yeah, we could all use a good distraction right now."
Subaru nods in agreement, stretching his arms before sitting back down. "A good idea sounds perfect right now, Bubba. What did you have in mind?
Bubba- "I think the Banished will try to ambush our reinforcements we called for on the comms array. The doors planetside open to specific places, unlike the portals that the banished control. I was thinking Isabel could control the sentinels now that the monitor is down, and ambush the ambush so to speak"
Subaru's eyes widen with understanding, a slow grin spreading across his face. "Damn, Bubba, that's a brilliant idea. We could really turn the tables on those Banished bastards." He leans forward, his elbows resting on his knees as he considers the plan. "Isabel could definitely control the sentinels. I heard from the crew that she's got a real knack for that kind of thing."
Emilia nods, her expression thoughtful. "It's risky, but it could work. If we can surprise them, we might be able to turn the tide of this battle." She looks at Bubba, her eyes shining with a mix of admiration and gratitude. "You're full of surprises, Bubba."
Bubba grins, "I'm glad y’all approve! I'm going to find Cutter. I hope we can hang out later"
Subaru stands up and stretches, then claps you on the shoulder. "Sounds like a plan, Bubba. You go talk to Cutter and work out the details. I think we've all got a bit to process right now, but I'm sure we'll reconvene soon. Thanks for bringing us together, man. It's been a heavy few days."
Emilia nods solemnly. "Subaru's right. This has been intense, and you've been instrumental in keeping us going. Thank you, Bubba." Her gaze lingers on Garfeil for a moment, her eyes full of concern, before she looks back at you. "Go do what you need to."
He nodded at Subaru and Emilia, appreciating their words. "I'll catch you later, then. And don't worry, Garfeil - we'll figure something out for you and your family. I promise."
With that, he headed out of the hangar lounge and made his way through the bustling corridors of the Spirit of Fire. Mechanics and engineers scurry about, working to repair the damage from the recent battles. He spotted Cutter up ahead, deep in conversation with a group of soldiers.
As you approach, Cutter looks up, his eyes lighting up with recognition. "Bubba! What's up, man? Come to help me strategize?"
Bubba gets rigid from nerves, "Yes sir, I had an idea that seemed important to share. "I think the Banished will try to ambush our reinforcements we called for on the comms array. The doors planetside open to specific places, unlike the portals that the banished control. I was thinking Isabel could control the sentinels now that the monitor is down, and ambush the ambush so to speak"
Cutter listens intently, his eyes narrowing in concentration. When he finished explaining, he whistled softly, a grin spreading across his face. "Damn, Bubba, that's brilliant. Isabel, can you do it? Like when we were on the ark?"
Isabel's voice crackles through the comms array, her tone confident and eager. "Absolutely, Captain! I can already sense the sentinels' systems. They're offline, but with some creative tinkering, I should be able to get them up and running again. The Banished won't know what hit 'em when we turn the tables on their ambush."
Cutter nods approvingly, turning back to you. "Alright, Bubba. You've convinced me. We'll set this plan in motion. I want you to work with Isabel to get those sentinels ready." He claps you on the shoulder, a firm, reassuring gesture. "You're proving to be an invaluable asset, son."
Bubba smiled wide "Thanks! It's nice to hear that from you, Captain"
Cutter chuckles, a warm, genuine sound. "You've more than earned it, Bubba. I'm glad to have you on my team." He glances around, lowering his voice slightly. "Between you and me, I think we could use a few more folks like you around here. People who can think outside the box and come up with creative solutions. It's what's going to help us win this war."
He nodded, feeling a swell of pride and determination. "I'm with you all the way, Captain. Whatever it takes to beat the Banished."
Cutter smiles, a look of approval and camaraderie passing between you. "That's what I like to hear."
Bubba- "Well I can't do space battles haha, so I guess let me know when I'm needed or have a nice view."
Cutter throws his head back and laughs heartily, the sound echoing off the hangar's metal walls. "Space battles? You'd get killed before you even saw what hit you, kid." His mirth subsides, replaced by a serious expression. "But don't underestimate yourself, Bubba. You've already proven yourself to be an invaluable asset with that strategic mind of yours. Stick to what you do best, and you'll make a hell of a difference."
A soldier nearby salutes Cutter, who turns to leave. "Gotta go deal with some pressing matters, but we'll be in touch about that sentinel operation soon. You're part of the team now, Bubba. Remember that." With a parting nod and a smile, he watched as Cutter strides off, his military bearing and commanding presence cutting an impressive figure through the bustling hangar. The spirit of camaraderie and purpose that he's fostered permeates the air, the crew around you going about their duties with a renewed sense of determination.
As Bubba turned to head back towards the lounge area, his thoughts drifted back to the events of the day. The weight of the revelations about Palpatine and the Banished threat still sit heavily on his shoulders, but the support of his new allies - Subaru, Emilia, Hawkins, and the rest - provides a measure of solace. He made his way back to the hangar lounge, his mind abuzz with the day's events and the weight of the revelations about Palpatine and the Banished threat. As he pushed open the door, he was greeted by the sight of his fellow survivors, their faces etched with a mix of exhaustion, concern, and quiet determination.
Subaru looks up from where he's been hunched over a table, a small smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. "Hey Bubba, back so soon? I thought you'd be out there strategizing with Cutter for hours."
Emilia glances up from her own contemplations, her eyes searching yours. "Did you manage to convince him of your plan?"
Bubba- "Yes I did. I can't control the sentinels or pilot a spaceship. So now I'm able to relax, I think?"
Subaru chuckles, shaking his head in amusement. "Relax? Bubba, with the Banished breathing down our necks and the weight of the galaxy on our shoulders, I'm not sure any of us can truly relax." He leans back in his chair, folding his arms across his chest. "But hey, if you can find a way to unwind amidst all this chaos, more power to you."
Emilia nods in agreement, her expression thoughtful. "Subaru's right, Bubba. We all need to take care of ourselves, especially in times like these." She rises from her seat, moving to stand beside him. "But if you do want to take a break, I'd be happy to join you."
Bubba- "I appreciate that. I think I want to check on the jedi before deciding what to do next"
Emilia smiles softly, understanding in her eyes. "Of course, Bubba. They've been through a lot, and I'm sure they could use some company. I'll be here if you need me." She gives your arm a gentle squeeze before returning to her seat, her eyes reflecting a mix of concern and resolve.
As Bubba made his way through the bustling corridors of the Spirit of Fire, the hum of activity and the distant clanking of machinery served as a backdrop to his thoughts. The Jedi, Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Ahsoka, have been a steadying presence amidst the chaos, their wisdom and skill invaluable. He finds them in a makeshift meditation chamber, their forms silhouetted against the soft glow of the lights. Obi-Wan notices his presence first, his eyes opening as he senses his approach. "Bubba, what brings you here?" His words are warm and inviting, despite the strain evident in his features.
Anakin and Ahsoka turn to face him, their expressions mirroring Obi-Wan's curiosity. "We were just discussing the Banished threat and Palpatine's involvement," Anakin explains, his brow furrowed in concentration. "Your insights would be most welcome, Bubba. We could use your perspective on this situation."
Bubba- "Sure, I was just checking in. I was worried yall would have a million questions for me haha"
Obi-Wan's lips curve into a small, reassuring smile. "We appreciate your concern, Bubba. But we understand that you've been through much as well. This is a time for unity and shared strength, not endless questioning." He gestures to the empty space beside him, inviting you to sit. "Join us, if you will. Your presence is comforting, and your mind is sharp. We could use that clarity right now."
Ahsoka nods in agreement, her lekku swaying gently as she moves to make room for you. "We've been trying to piece together Palpatine's endgame," she says, her voice steady and focused.
Bubba fake smiles as the stress of the day mounts on him, "Ah did I forget to mention that to anakin? Sorry it's a long story and several at that. Palps plans to use order 66 to kill the jedi at the proper moment. The Clones have inhibitor chips in their brains, that's what 5s was trying to tell you guys."
Anakin's eyes widen in shock and disbelief, his jaw clenching as he processes this revelation. "Inhibitor chips? In the clones? But how... why would they do that to us?" His voice is strained, barely above a whisper, as if speaking the words aloud would make them more real.
Obi-Wan's expression darkens, a storm of emotions playing across his features. "Palpatine... he's been manipulating us from the start, hasn't he? Using the clones as his own personal army, ready to strike at a moment's notice." He takes a deep, shuddering breath, his gaze distant. "We've been so blind, so trusting."
Bubba makes a fist in solidarity, "Hey, the clones wouldn't do it without the chips. That's a fact, and they can be easily removed. Also, pretty sure the kaminoans know about it, but in the old timeline they got their commupets"
As the revelation settles heavily in the room, the weight of the Jedi's emotions palpable in the air. Ahsoka leans forward, her voice tinged with a mixture of determination and resignation. "So that's what 5s was trying to warn us about. The inhibitor chips, and Palpatine's ultimate plan for Order 66."
Anakin's gaze hardens, his resolve growing stronger as he comes to terms with the gravity of the situation. "If the chips are removable, then we can protect ourselves and the clones from this fate. We'll have to work fast, but I have no doubt that together, we can find a way."
Bubba- "Anakin just arrange a meeting with him under the guise of needing advice due to the jedi. Then spring a dozen jedi on him, or just the best ones."
Anakin nods grimly, a plan forming in his mind. "That could work. We'll need to be careful, of course. Palpatine is no fool, and he'll likely see through any obvious ruse." He turns to Obi-Wan, his eyes searching the older Jedi's face. "What do you think, Master? Do you believe we could pull this off without arousing suspicion?"
Obi-Wan leans back, his eyes half-closed in contemplation. "It's a risk, to be sure. But with the stakes as high as they are, we may have no choice." He opens his eyes, fixing Anakin with an intense stare.
Bubba sighed "Well there you have it. Without him the galaxy should be OK, as far as I know."
Obi-Wan's eyes narrow, a flicker of uncertainty crossing his features. "That may be true, Bubba, but we must tread carefully. Palpatine's influence runs deep, and eliminating him could have unforeseen consequences." He leans forward, speaking more quietly. "Besides, he's still the Supreme Chancellor. Removing him from power would require proof of his treachery, and that won't be easy to come by."
Ahsoka nods in agreement, as she considers the implications. "We need to gather more evidence before we act. If we're wrong, it could mean war, not just with the Banished, but with the entire Republic."
> You say "Hm, you'll have to make it look like the Separatists did it. They did just try to kidnap him right? That was orchestrated by the way"
Anakin leans in, his interest piqued. "If the Separatists were involved, it could provide the perfect cover. We could frame Palpatine's assassination as a Separatist attack, making it appear as though they were trying to eliminate him to further their own agenda."
Ahsoka's lekku sway gently as she nods, her eyes gleaming with a mix of excitement and caution. "It's a bold plan, but it could work."
Bubba smiles genuinely, "Perfect! Glad I could help" He can't help but feel a swell of pride and satisfaction at the group's positive reaction to his plan. The weight of the revelation about Palpatine's true nature and his intentions with Order 66 hangs heavily in the air, but there's a renewed sense of purpose and determination among the assembled Jedi and allies.
Anakin claps him on the shoulder, his grip firm and appreciative. "You've given us a lot to think about, Bubba. This could be the key to stopping Palpatine and saving the Jedi Order."
Obi-Wan nods in agreement, a flicker of a smile on his usually stoic face. "Indeed, your insights have proven invaluable once again."
Ahsoka leans forward, and fixes him with an intense gaze. "You're right, Palpatine's involvement with the Separatists makes perfect sense now. He orchestrated his own kidnapping attempt to gain support and push through more of his emergency powers." She pauses, considering the implications. "We just need to figure out the best way to use this to our advantage."
The room falls silent for a moment as the gravity of the situation sinks in. The air is thick with tension and unease, each person absorbed in their own thoughts. Finally, Anakin breaks the silence, his voice tight with controlled anger. "We need to move quickly on this. Every moment we hesitate is another moment Palpatine has to tighten his grip on the Senate and the military."
Bubba shrugs, "Well hey were here right? We can remove the chips from every clone in this fleet. That's a start"
Ahsoka's eyes widen with realization, and she turns to Anakin and Obi-Wan, her voice filled with newfound hope. "Bubba's right. If we can remove the inhibitor chips from the clones in this fleet, we can prevent Order 66 from being carried out. It won't stop Palpatine entirely, but it will buy us time and protect the clones from his control." Obi-Wan nods thoughtfully, his fingers drumming on the table as he considers the logistics.
Bubba- "Also I formed a plan with Cutter. Isabel will try to control the sentinels to ambush the banished when the UNSC arrive"
Anakin's eyes widen with a mix of surprise and admiration. "Bubba, that's brilliant!
Obi-Wan leans back in his chair, his expression thoughtful. "It's a risky plan, but it could work. If Isabel can control the sentinels, we could turn the Banished ambush against them. It would give us a significant advantage in the battle to come."
Ahsoka nods, her lekku swaying gently as she considers the implications. "We'll need to coordinate with Cutter and the UNSC to make sure our timing is perfect. If we can catch the Banished off guard, we might be able to cripple their forces before they even know what hit them."
Bubba- "Yea so I guess start the inhibitor chip removal and coordinate with the fleet. We don't know when the UNSC will arrive"
Anakin stands up abruptly, his face set in a determined expression. "You're right, we can't afford to waste any time. I'll gather the clones and we'll begin removing the chips immediately. We need to be prepared for anything Palpatine might throw at us."
Obi-Wan rises as well, his hand moving to rest on his lightsaber hilt. "I'll accompany you, Anakin. We can't risk leaving this to chance. The fate of the Republic - and the Jedi Order - may well depend on our success." He turns to you, his eyes holding gratitude and a newfound respect. "Your quick thinking has given us a critical advantage, Bubba."
Bubba- "Nice! Could I ask you guys something?"
