Chapter 12: A Close Eye on Louie

The coyote and wolf Chaos Insurgent soldiers blocked Louie’s path. Louie could barely make out what SCP-682 was doing with the National Guard soldiers. The mayor was barricaded in his mansion well aware of the impending threat at hand.

“You think your weapons will stop me?” laughed SCP-682.

The Hard to Destroy Reptile soon began to use his claws at the soldiers’ rifles tearing each of them to pieces. The soldiers ran at the sight of SCP-682, Louie knew he could try to get to the Chaos Insurgent soldiers through Wilma who was observing everything.

“Hey Wilma, how would you like another story of how I tricked my uncle Scrooge into handing over his wealth?” asked Louie.

Wilma glances over, while Kibar continues to focus on SCP-682.

“Sure, anything to pass the time,” said Wilma.

Wilma’s presence prevented the coyote and wolf soldiers from doing anything to Louie for the moment. They had to lay down their arms to listen to his story. As Louie spoke about his past misadventures with Scrooge McDuck – Drake along with Gosalyn, Lena and Fenton arrived at the mayor’s manor. They could see that Louie was busy using his smooth talk with Wilma.

“We should worry about rescuing him later and focus on the rampaging lizard,” said Fenton.

“Let’s hope that this lizard won’t adapt to my shadow abilities” said Lena.

Lena soon used her shadow abilities to go intangible, passing through she could see how Louie had his way with his words. She nearly got herself lost in his own charm, when she knew she had to focus on the mission at hand. As she traveled; she noticed SCP-682 was just inches away from the mansion.

“Mayor, you mine, as well come out” laughed SCP-682, “there is no one here to protect you.”

The mayor of St. Canard hid on the third floor of his mansion, the Hard to Destroy Reptile sighed as he would surely have to climb it.

“Well, looks like I will climb up” laughed SCP-682.

Lena then decided it was time to put her shadow powers to good use; she soon appeared in a more frightful manner to SCP-682 as he reached the second floor window. The shadow of Lena glared at the Hard to Destroy Reptile. If she couldn’t fight him physically, she would have to put fear into him.

  “TURN BACK!” bellowed Lena’s shadow.

SCP-682 shook his head a bit, for a moment Lena almost had him.

“You think a little shadow is going to scare me?” laughed SCP-682.

Lena was going to do her best to put SCP-682 in her shadow realm as hopes to confuse him. She didn’t want to put him in for too long, or he could adapt to the changes. As SCP-682 soon found out, he was no longer climbing up the mansion but in another plane entirely.

  “Where am I?” asked SCP-682.

“You shouldn’t be messing around with someone like me,” said Lena.

Lena soon showed up in her more powered up form, though her intentions were not to fight him – it was more of a way to show him her strength. The Hard to Destroy Reptile wouldn’t be so easy to back down. For those around him in the real world, they noticed SCP-682 had just frozen climbing up the mansion.
