Chapter 13 Tan Jiao San (2)

I helped him up by holding his hand, which was hot and strong. He said, "Sorry." I didnt expect it was really him who kicked the ball, and I glanced at him sideways: "Was it you who kicked it?" He actually smiled and said, "Sit down first." Turning to Xiaohua and others, he said, "You guys go play first, Ill take a look at her." His tone was very calm, but Xiaohua and the others were taken aback, and they all laughed and teased him.

He didnt seem to mind them at all, his expression was very calm. But I was made to feel a bit flustered.

Everyone else finally dispersed, leaving only me and him. I sat down on the steps at the edge of the field, and he stood beside me. My skirt was originally only knee-length, so when I sat down it rose above my knees, making the wound visible to him at a glance. It had turned blue and purple in one area, with two gashes that had bled slightly. The pain was sharp and piercing.

We both fell silent for a while.

I said: "What are you kicking towards me for?"

He looked into my eyes and said slowly: "Who says I did it on purpose?"

One sentence made me speechless, and my heart skipped a beat. A thought rushed into my mind - damn it, this guy is really good at flirting!

Its probably just me being paranoid anyway. I hummed and said, "You kicked yourself, you figure it out."

He said, "I didnt say I wouldnt take care of it. Wait here." Seeing him turn around and walk away, I asked in surprise, "Where are you going? Its so hot here, what am I waiting for? Im going back."

Next to the stairs, there were still clothes scattered around from a few people. Wu Yu reached under a dark grey T-shirt and pulled out a black hat. The brim was worn but it looked soft and clean. Then he looked at me, I also looked at him, inexplicably, a strange subtle emotion welled up in my heart again.

Everything went dark in front of me, and he put that hat on my head. Through the fabric, I could even feel the strength of his palm, this strangers hand, pressed down and then left.

"Wear it when you go out," he said. Then left.

I didnt expect him to do that. This is the first time Ive worn a strange mans hat, its a bit big, but its okay. The thought rose up in my mind again - hes really good at teasing girls, or should I say, born this way? Hes just an unusual man?

Its just that my head suddenly became extremely sensitive, and the skin in contact with the brim of the hat felt slightly numb. The feeling was as if what was on top of your head wasnt a hat, but someones hand, gently pressing down on you.

I didnt take off my hat. Didnt want to take it off. Dont know why, just didnt want to.

After about ten minutes or so, Wu Yu came back, still holding a plastic bag with a bottle of water and some medicine. He had actually gone to the nearby pharmacy, being so thoughtful and patient.

He looked at me again, and I suddenly felt a bit uneasy, turning my head to look away. Then an opened bottle of water was handed over to me. I hesitated for a moment, took it and drank a mouthful, saying "thank you".

His low voice sounded beside him: "Rinse off the mud on your legs."

"Oh..." I suddenly felt a bit awkward, and as he spoke, I stretched out my legs to rinse them off. He stood in front of me, staring at me the whole time. And so, I suddenly felt that the sunlight had become even more dazzling, even with the hat shading me.

Then Wu sat down beside me - even sitting was a head taller than me - just half a persons position away, he put the medicine bag in his hand on the steps, took out a cotton swab dipped in iodine, and handed it to me. I also naturally took it over, applied it, felt some pain, and let out a "hiss".

He stood beside me, saying nothing. I felt his gaze fixed on my calf. I didnt dare to look up.
