Chapter 01

In the tranquil darkness of a clear, starry galaxy? Two men stood under the vast expanse of the cosmos. They were sitting on beach chairs while watching a galaxy in the distance, while they were on a literal blue moon.

They were also drinking bear and eating potato chips. By coincidence, they finished their packs at the same time and the last two were laying on the sides of the chairs. The second man tried to grab flamin’ hot one, but time stopped and when it began to move again, the package was in the hands of the first man.

“How many times have I told you? All the flamin’ hot are mine,” the first man said.

“You don’t get sick of it? I want some variety,” the second man said while frowning.

“No way,” the first man shrugged. “This is taking too long…”

“Relax, it will start now,” the second man said and then grabbed the final pack of potato chips.

Suddenly, a brilliant flash of light erupted in the distance, capturing the observer’s attention. It was as if a new star had ignited, outshining everything else in the heavens. The intense radiance of the celestial phenomenon pierced through the velvet backdrop of space, illuminating the observer’s face with a mix of astonishment and exhilaration.

With each passing moment, the dazzling display intensified. The star-like object expanded, its radiant energy rippling through the fabric of space. Brilliant hues of red, orange, and white danced within its core, painting the cosmos with an ethereal palette.

As the explosion continued to unfold, tendrils of cosmic energy reached out into the surrounding expanse, transforming the serene canvas of the void. Nebulae, once invisible to the naked eye, now glowed with vibrant colors, as if reflecting the celestial ballet of destruction and creation.

As the supernova reached its zenith, a resplendent burst of light illuminated the surrounding landscape. Shadows danced, trees swayed, and the observers’ faces were bathed in a celestial glow. The sheer beauty of the explosion, both violent and sublime, made the first man yawn out of sheer boredom.

“Another supernova,” the first man sighed. “How many have we seen? A lot, to the point that I can hear your voice in my head narrating the whole thing in a Shakespearean style.”

Oh, you feel bored, my friend? I thought I was the only one growing weary of this cosmic spectacle. It’s as if the tapestry of time itself has become monotonous,” the second man said.

“Yeah, and stop with the Shakespearean shit,” the first man said.

“I can’t help it, I am old, talking like that comes very naturally,” the second man said.

The first man was called Aien, the Star-King of time possessed a striking and regal appearance. Clad in gleaming silver armor, he stood tall and proud, emanating an aura of chivalry and valor. Aien’s armor is intricately designed with exquisite detailing, featuring intricate engravings and filigree patterns that reflect a noble heritage.

His helmet, adorned with a majestic crest, partially obscures his face, adding an air of mystery and stoicism to his demeanor. Beneath the helmet, his hair is a vibrant shade of blond, flowing in waves that cascade down his back. Aien’s eyes are deep blue, shimmering with determination and a sense of duty.

The second man was called Herneus, his appearance presented a distinctive and powerful visage. He possessed a lean and athletic build, with a hint of both grace and ruggedness in his overall appearance. Herneus’ features reflect his dual nature, as both a skilled archer and a noble warrior.

His long, flowing hair is a rich shade of chestnut brown, cascading down to his shoulders. Tied back with a simple band, his hair frames a face that exudes determination and self-assuredness. Herneus’ piercing amber eyes hold a glint of unwavering focus, showcasing his keen perception and battle-readiness.

Wearing an outfit suitable for an archer, Herneus had a forest green tunic that fit well against his form. Over the tunic, he wears a brown leather vest, adding an element of practicality to his attire. Completed with dark brown pants tucked into sturdy boots, allowing for swift and agile movement. He didn’t look much like a god like that, much less with someone with the title of Star-King of void.

“I told you to stop with the Shakespearean shit, and why are you narrating this?” Aien frowned.

You could be reading stolen content. Head to the original site for the genuine story.

“Well now… do you want to see a blackhole being formed?” Herneus asked.

“Oh no… not again,” Aien rolled his eyes. “You and your weird fetish for black holes.”

“Hey, don’t complain about my ideas without giving better ones,” Herneus said. “Your ideas are worse. They are all related to sleeping with the sister and daughter of the Star-King of chaos.”

“Well, he is a moron, and it is relaxing to make fun of morons,” Aien shrugged while smiling.

Herneus sighed and then they resumed their watch… there was nothing to watch, though. Aien made the entire thing happen one billion times faster. Both of them sighed… life at the very top of the physical realm of existence was boring. There was nothing to do. They could sleep for thousands of years and see if something interesting happened while, but it was boring. Sleeping wasn’t necessary for them anymore.

“We might as well go and piss off the Star-King of chaos then. It is better than this weird silence,” Herneus said.

“Wait, I am having an idea… give me a short moment to think more deeply about it,” Aien said while squinting his eyes.

The hint of inspiration came out of nowhere. After messing with the Star-King of chaos so many times, that guy challenged Aien to a duel a bunch of times as well. Still, what would be the point if they could destroy planets with single attacks, but their spirits couldn’t? It was a waste of time… still, the duels gave Aien an idea now. What would happen if they all sealed their bodies and strengthening methods and became mere mortals again? Instead of a dick measuring fight, they could compete in something that was a lot more fun and relief and skill. World Domination, Ascension to Higher Realms, Hunting Ultimate Ones… the options were quite varied.

Aien explain the basic idea to his friend and Herneus listened to it with attention, and he liked the idea. He also offered some improvements to make things more interesting.

“We can add a system that will make us go to different worlds and start in different ways and with some restrictions, that way, things will be more fair,” Herneus added. “We can also bet something of value that we have and the winner will take it all.”

“Yeah, very nice idea,” Aien said while grinning. “Some RNG definitely will make things more interesting.”

“Let’s think of a few more things before passing the idea to the other Star-Kings. I can tell that some of them will like this,” Herneus said and then they began their brainstorm.

  —---

In the end, Aien and Herneus lost track of time and planned the whole thing for five years. They wanted everything to be perfect, and the final result had been more than a little satisfactory.

After creating the RNG reincarnation system, they presented the idea to other Star-Kings. A bunch of them didn’t like the idea of sealing away their true bodies and all of their power and knowledge. Even if Aien confirmed that the place sealed will be beyond anyone’s reach. One would have to surpass the Great Void Wall created by Herneus and in such a place any being would be unable to show their true power, and the Final Time Prison. One of Aien’s techniques that made the sealed place completely beyond the flow of time.

Still, despite that, eight other Star-Kings accepted the offer. The Star-King of chaos, who was an edgy black haired guy who was always in a bad mood. The Star-King of light, that was a woman who was always smiling since it looked that everything and everyone amused her. The Star-King of luck, a guy who didn’t have much presence but was always playing with a golden coin. The Star-King of greed, a real shady dude that was always hiding his face under a dark hood. The Star-King of luxury, a redhead woman who was wearing a really revealing a red dress and didn’t know that bras had been invented already.

The Star-King of destiny, a weary looking oldman that had a massively long white beard. The Star-King of war, a man clad in dark armor filled with spikes, and the Star-King of law, a blond woman who was always with her eyes closed.

“This is quite the weird group of people,” Aien said while looking around.

“Silence, greenhorn,” The Star-King of chaos said. “Let’s star this already… I want to use this to make you pay for all the humiliation you made me endure.”

“Heh, I wonder if you will gain anything. You are only good at being cringe, stupid and edgy,” Aien shrugged.

“Let’s stop with the useless conversation,” Herneus said, and then made the surrounding space change. “We are going to make an oath here that no matter the results, we aren’t going to hold a grudge and fall back on our words. Until the end of the round, if one of us dies, they will only return once someone completes the goal of the round. If you agree with that, sit in on one of the chairs.”

In front of them, there was a round table and chairs made of some dark crystal. They could tell that it was all a part of the system, to make their true bodies, techniques and knowledge to remain there once their fragments are reincarnated. They didn’t hesitate, they didn’t fear anything weird happening while they were away. Also, even if there was a risk, they wouldn’t mind. At that point in time, some of them were thousands of years old, and they would do anything to get rid of the boredom.

Everyone sat down and the sealed dark room glowed once. They could tell that the powers of time and void created the perfect vault to store their true bodies. Still, if they had detected any malice, they would have known that the vault also could become a prison that they couldn’t escape.

“All right, RNG reincarnation system, activate,” Aien said and then smirked.
