Eliza, Kimmy, and the rest of the Reagan High cheer squad finished their warm-up drills. Coach Belding didn’t make any mention about the cheer captain’s tardiness, but still, the girls were starting to worry. Tiffany never missed a cheer practice. Tiffany was the perfect captain, the perfect cheerleader. She was perfect in general.
“I’m here! I’m here!” Tiffany shouted out as she came rushing out of the locker room. She had a pep in her step and was full of energy, waiving her pom-poms in the air as she rushed in front of the cheer team. “Yeah, girls! Who’s got spirit!” Tiffany’s voice was eager and full of pep as she threw her pom-poms high in the air, “We’ve got spirit yes we do! We got the spirit, how about you!” she yelled as she kicked her leg high up in the air and then performed a full-on standing backflip.
“Woah, Tiffany!” Eliza said, shocked at the pure amount of, spirit, Tiffany was showing.
“That’s good hustle Tiffany,” Coach Belding looked at the rest of the girls, “You girls could learn a lot from Tiffany’s example,” Coach Belding smiled and turned her head to the girls as Tiffany started to do a line of cartwheels in front of the squad.
“Where are you getting all this energy?” Kimmy asked.
“School spirit!” She said as she dismounted, “Fuck yeah!” She said, holding her pom-poms up in a perfect dismounting pose, “Oh, sorry,” she quickly turned her head to Coach Belding, “Just so full of spirit,” she said laughing manically.
“Well I don’t know what’s gotten into you Tiffany, but I think it’s great,” Coach Belding said, “Whatever you’ve been doing, keep it up,” the coach smiled.
Coach Belding had no idea that what had gotten into Tiffany was a little drug called Cocaine. Tiffany had pep alright, a pep stronger and more hardcore than any pep she could ever buy from some loser like Eddy, Danny, or Johnny Vincent. Tiffany would meet up with Edward whenever she could, she went to every one of his shows and would always wrestle him away from the band after a show to get more of his hot bod, and more importantly more of that sweet treat he always seemed to have on him. She had never felt this way about a guy before. She had never felt so in love with someone. She loved the way being with him made him feel. That’s what she told herself. The coke was just a fun bonus, this magical thing they could share. She just knew it. She was in love.

Edward and the Vandals were playing a gig at “The Bucket,” a dingy rock club on the outskirts of the other side of L.A. that Friday. Tiffany had to drive over an hour to get there, Edward hadn’t invited her, but she was sure that was just because he had assumed, she would be there. She was wearing a tight black tank top with a pentagram on it, a black mini skirt with fishnets and her sexy red five-inch heels. She had her hair done up in long pigtails, Edward loved pigtails, and her make up done in just that perfect trashy way that she knew Edward loved.
She came up to the bouncer and introduced herself, “Hi, I’m Tiffany, I’m a friend of the band,” she grinned.
“I.D.?” the bouncer asked.
“What?” Tiffany asked. She was very curious, as she had never had to face this line of questioning when going to one of Edward’s shows.
“You need an I.D. to get in little girl, don’t have one? Go home,” he said.
“You don’t understand, I’m friends with the band,” Tiffany said, implying her special relationship with the lead singer, “I’m with Edward, I’m his girlfriend,” she said.
The bouncer laughed, “Yeah, you and about four other girls I’ve let in tonight, and I made three of them show I.D.s, so I’m making you show an I.D., now do you have one?” He asked.
Tiffany was starting to get anxious, she bit her lip, her heart was beating fast, she was nervous, “Recheck your list, I know I’m on it, Edward wouldn’t like it if you kept me out of one of his shows, again, my name is Tiffany Logan now find it on your little god damn clipboard you big dumb ape!” she said, stomping her heel and getting very stern with the bouncer.
“Okay, little girl,” he said as he crossed his arms. “I not going to put my hands on some kid, but I’m going to have to ask you to leave, if you know Edward, you can see him after the show,” he said, “Or you could just show me your I.D., and I’ll let you right in,” he said.
Tiffany’s breath was fast and hard now, she was getting desperate, “You know what, fuck you, I will wait for Edward, and when he finds out how rude the love of his life was treated tonight he is going to have a bone to pick with you and your boss and you are going to pay, big time,” she huffed.
“Whatever you say, little girl, the show should be done in an hour,” he said.
“Big mistake, huge,” Tiffany said, waving her finger in front of the bouncer before she turned her wrist around and flipped him off before walking away and around to the back of the club. She leaned against a dumpster by the rear entrance. She bit the inside of her lip, and after just a minute had passed, she was already tapping her foot in anticipation. She took a deep breath and waited.
